If anyone drops during loading make the game NA.
i actualy did a bit of research into how the maps are made (having very little programming experiance this was interesting to say the least). anyway from what i've found it.... the maps are build using 3D software like 3Ds Max and that models are build and stored in .gr2 files. these .gr2 files are from a company called Granny 3D which is some high class corperate 3D game design program. anyway after a bit snooping i got a viewer for the files and this is what i got: <p

Be sure to add this to the Demigod Master List. The more demigods we have on this list the better chance we can get it pinned up on the forums. Demigod Master List

i was recently looking back on some of the posts i've replied to back in march when i came across a very interesting one. basicly it was why Demigod Sucks compared to DotA (from a DotA fanboy of course)... made a bunch of claims and jabs but one thing i noticed that caught my eye was his thoughts on the lack or "neutral creeps". obviously actual "Neutral Creeps" like in DotA are stupid and have no place in Demigod... however i started thinking about how it could work. fina
If your problem is that the game becomes a race to see who can get giants first, rather than make it more complicated, make it so whoever has more minions less of an issue.
my problem with the race for giants wasn't that it was a race for giants specificly... it was that it has about as much strategic depth as a glass of spilt milk. rather than spending the whole gaming going: " <em
First off my problem with a lot of your unit suggestions is that ultimately it just increases the total number of units present

Third, some of the ideas could easily be tacked onto existing units without increasing the total number of units on the field.

Fourth, the name of the game is still DG management and control, and this would shift the game's focus
so all of these i can answer with one point. the

for those who don't know... and before this turns into a Demigod VS League of Legends... League of Legends is done by the same people who make the first DotA map (V 1.0 - 3.0?) and then gave it up to IceFrog who made it DotA AllStar. so while Demigod is based on DotA... League of Legends is going to be DotA. so they really aren't in the same catigory... more like a distant relative
I think removing the healing power of the Priests is a bad idea - perhaps the passive Aura could increase Health per second for all units around them?
agreed, to solve this (since having 3 sorcerers all with the same aura is pointless) it would probably make more sense to simply replace one of the 3 priests with the sorcerer... this way you still get the heals, but with a nice aura as well. also enemies can pick off the sorcerer is the aura is buggi

lol, you two crack me up. [e digicons]\o/[/e] now shake hand and make up. obviously i'm on Sean0883 since he's basicly agreeing with me. however i do want to point out that StAcK3D_ActR has some fair points. firsly he's right that this DG has very little "team play" support abilities. its also true that a stun or nuke would make him more utilizable for in some situations. However my argument is that DG is suppost to

ok, so spawn time seem out of the bag.... but what about a one time wave... so an upgrade that sends one wave of grunts upon purchase. this way the normal spawn times still apply and syncing isn't messed up. however you can still cause a good push for a tower or citadel is you time an extra wave propably. and thought?

now there was a similar idea like this a while ago... however since this forum section is SO F'ING UNORGANIZED... i was unable to find it and give proper credit to those who needed it. i did however find a few other posts that are similar or have a point... so here are my influnces: New Ideas for Minions Ideas about improving minions <span style

i can't even remember the last time i got a PC game from a store. With apps like Steam and Impulse who needs to drive to the store just to find out the game isn't in stock... relying on retail sales seems like a lost cause now adays, if digital sales are great i think that what you should be looking at.

i like the idea, however... something to think about would be whether or not to have a limit of these... say only 3 per game in each shop. this way players have to be a lot more communicative with their teammates about when and where to get the book... rather than facing a completely diffrent build every time u change lanes. specialy since so many builds are against other DG builds.... being able to randomly change your build (screwing your opponent in
Basically, users would control what mods they want to use via in-game overlay. Then, when someone hosts a custom game, it would automatically download whatever mods were needed and enable them when a person joined the game. The mods would be hosted and moderated by Demigodthegame.com and would support basically anything cool that people wanted to make.
so this mean something like the Mutators in UT2004? cause that would make a lot more sense.&nbs

i think if SD started giving techical feedback to ideas rathan than opinionated ones i would be just as happy. don't get me wrong... its always awesome to hear a SD employee like you idea but i think its way more constructive for them to comment on the actual coding and possibility of the idea. that said Frogboy mentioned Modding in the June FAQ... so even feedback on how ideas might be done would be nice. (for example... with maps.... would mod'ing a map mean building i
We are leaning towards having both Demigods being assassins since they are, statistically, the most popular. One good, one evil.

I think it'd generally be a good idea to keep an even number of assassins and generals.
or get rid of the ridiculous Assasin/General labels and just have "Demigods... some have minions, some don't and some are in-between".

always good to know that Frogboy and Stardock are looking at and replying to idea... however i also would really like to see GPG say something about ideas. yes i know they look but don't say anything, but feedback would really be nice. part of making productive ideas and decisions making is finding out what does and doesn't work. for example i did a map idea a while back that used portals to transport grunts across paths... i have no idea if this is possible so a tiny bit
Thats all shit. i mean, just paly ten times vs AI, then try to strike "HARD" AI. If you can do this, thats training enough. Stardock, leave it at this point. I think its just fucked up to install DG, and play online from the first minute. First learn offline how to paly, or paly dota. OPtherwise dopn´t whine about being flamed.
what part of "i miss understood the OP and my post is irrelevant" don't u understand???
