Reply to Nerf Minions in Demigod
I agree with the minion experience sentiment, summoned units in Warcraft 3 gave exp and you still saw plenty of water elementals and spirit wolves running around. The amount would just need to be reasonably small so that minions wouldn't be a disadvantage.
Dota too.
Until someone bothers to make a point as to why they think any part of that article is illogical, I'm not going to bother replying further.
The article has nothing to do with fun - the primary reason most people play games of any kind. I'd go further but I don't want to debate that garbage article again as I have many times over the years.
HoN
Last night HoN crashed on me mid game. Instead of going into an hour long depression, laying on the couch and watching some TV, and losing my will to play for the rest of the night like I would have with Demigod I simply booted it back up and reconnected to the game in progress. Simply amazing.

I really hate Cataract, and the flag imbalance is one of the main reasons. Unfortunately it's not like Prison is a better choice....

It depends. Some games are *clearly* over. Many games are not clearly over when some people's "I quit!" threshold trips. Adding the concede option lowered that threshold for many players....

You're not thinking about counters. 2 tower rooks have garbage mobility - go around them and harrass the base. They'll be so busy going back and forth you'll be able to mitigate their "we built a fortress of towers" advantage. 2 Reguli with "2k total damage snipe" is at like level 10. You should be more than well enough equipped to deal with that.
As to your second issue, the game is designed that demigods and creeps become increasing powerful until the structures are meaningless and the citadel crumbles. The lightning towers are merely a backdrop to the duels between the demigods, and to clean up early creep waves. While the advantage is important, if you make them more powerful you start restricting a players options to dart into the enemy base for a kill leading to simpler and more boring play. I realize that some hosts set t

Regulus was clearly modeled after the Sniper from Dota, who too could also eventually outrange towers, and it was a powerful ability there as well. However, he needed to be at least level 5, and towers in Dota are quite a bit sturdier (though more important). Regulus can start his tower chipathon from level 2 . If anything I think he should need 2 points in range before he can outrange towers. That puts it somewhere near level 5-7, and you give up oth
Demigod has a million problems, but at the core it is the best real time strategy game I have ever played.
It's not even a real time strategy game...well, not really. I wouldn't say it's better than Starcraft or WC3. I wouldn't even say it's better than Dota. But it is pretty fun...
Do you know a damn thing about this game? Seriously.
Do you know a damn thing about adapting? Playing outside your premade prepicked comfort zone? That's where the fun is. Cling to your "highest level of play" bs and pick your tried and true combos.
