I think anyone will be hard pressed to accurately compare the two when it comes to how much is data mined. In any event, the conversation seems to have moved on from that to Google's tendency to omit web sites that don't give them money from search results. It's not like Google's bad reputation on this (and on their very shady data mining practices) is ill deserved.

I didn't say it is a problem with their forums. I said more than once in this thread that I think it's something that I am missing on my computer. I know it's for a different site, but it's still a fairly good indication of the overall market share. Chrome isn't a minor browser. (Version 3 of Chrome is the beta, not the release, which is why it is only 0.3% on that site.) That Chrome doesn't show up on SDN's stats could simply mean that they don't track for it. (wh

I want names submitted by folks who were in games where this happened. It's easy to tell.
For those of you that think Bing does not show ads or think MS is as bad as Google look at this. See the ads?
I don't think anyone is making the claim that Bing does not show ads.

I don't think it's anything wrong with Stardock's forums. I just want to know what I'm missing here that these buttons don't show up.
I expect you won't see Chrome support until they have enough market share to make it worthwhile from Stardock's POV.
Chrome currently has more market share than Opera and Safari combined http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

Just make sure you check the player's history to be sure they exploit it and don't just happen to d/c or crash in the game you were in.

Banned for never stating any conclusions. Or banned for promoting psychologists who are coveting their neighbor's theories.
in which case, I'm gonna give 'em the third degree and a right royal telling off.
While I don't know all the details of the circumstance, and I certainly haven't read all of this thread, it seems to me that regardless of your views of Google's ethics, it is simply good business sense to make sure their business comes up in a Google search. (How's that for a run on sentence?)
Nope - I run Vista Ultimate 64 at home with IE 7 and it is fine.
IE8 has everything on this forum as it should. That's how I was able to make this thread to begin with, despite the button not being there at all when using Chrome. It's only with Chrome that I am seeing these issues (or 'not seeing' as the case may be).
The irony is in that both parties think they are right and the other ones are wrong.
You just described every single ongoing debate. Irony normally calls for something out of the ordinary. Also, one of Jafo's points is that ads for Macs never make any real points to support their side. Still not finding the irony, sorry.
I don't think I missed it. It is ironic you display the same hyperbolic qualities you claim to detest in Mac advertising. I actually don't like the Mac advertising either, and I said as much in my posts. Re-read the tone and content of your posts and reflect on whether it is the real message you are trying to get across. Kind of done here...
I don't see how expressing disdain for arrogance and a poor advertising campaign is either arrogant or a poor advertising campaign.

Sounds to me like a hardware issue, either related to your HDD or RAM. Either the update passed through a bad portion of RAM, or it got saved onto a bad portion of your HDD. Here is a link to a free RAM diagnostic you can burn to a bootable CD: http://www.memtest.org/ If it is faulty RAM, and you replace it, I recommend reinstalling the game.

Anyway, I'm not looking to enter into the debate, it was just a discrepancy I thought should be pointed out before the

Yes, but it's a one-time purchase that carries on to all games, and you are limited to using only one favor item in a single match. (Honestly I don't much care for the favor system at all, but at least with the current system everyone will ultimately be able to get whatever item they want in every single game.)
