It's like the OP is from a parallel universe or something. I buy all sorts of equipment and I still usually have enough money amongst my team to buy giants the moment War Rank hits ten (if we so desire - not always the optimal way of going about things, really). ddd888 are you playing only 1v1 or something? Also, I realize that you are exaggerating, but getting to giants in two minutes is not normal. I like games that last about half an hour or preferably a bit less. With War Rank set

I think that the only problem combo is three or more Regulii. Snipe's crazy range allows them to support one another and still be present in multiple flags simultaneously. Snipe can't be interrupted (unless you're very close to the Reg but that's poor performance from the Reg). The only countermeasure is healing or shielding and against a coordinated team you need to get the timing exactly right for it to succeed. Three Oaks or four TBs or whatevers need to be physically close to one
Well, I recently played 2 Regulus vs. 1 QoT and 1 Erebus and we got our asses kicked, because the QoT spammed shield ALL THE F*ING TIME, and we tried mines, snipe and everything and couldn't take her down even once. So no, I absolutely do not think it is an OP strat. You just have to select the appropriate DGs to counter it.
Two is too few.

Wait, you have played 118 games and seen only one comeback?!? I've seen lots and I have played max half that number of games online. Certainly a number on par with other RTS-style online games.
In a 5vs5 is not that easy because 5 snipes in a row can kill most dg from the start. How do you counter it? Even if they are not in voice they can do it just fine, one manage the target and write down "rook" or "erebus" in chat and everyone just snipe = kill.
Agreed. I'm sort of convinced that most of the l2p-people haven't faced this and are just theorying. Adding mines to the snipe threat makes

A great write-up, thank you Thrandiul. [e digicons]k1[/e] Which is better for this build to get early: Boots of Speed or Wand of Speed? They are pretty much the same cost but one is constant while the other is activable and grants a greater boost. Wand would allow to catch even the fastest enemy DGs and eight seconds should be plenty to paste them once they are in the retreat gear. OTOH Boots allow you to get places faster all the time, which means faster capping of fl
How about: AI replacement gives no XP/Gold to other team when killed. . .
Aye. This (or a variation such as giving only 10% of the gold) is suggested in about every thread like this, but still most people seem to insist that kicking the DG wholly out is a better choice. They never explain their reasoning behind it, though.

I agree fully with Darvin3, but would like to just add that some DGs are better at making money than others either due to killing the enemy DGs or due to good AoEs which allow them to farm the creeps very efficiently. For example, when playing Regulus, if I get an early kill I often buy the first level of Currency for the team ASAP.

You'll be a fine addition as long as you remember one basic rule: don't die. Playing too carefully means that you will still be an asset far better than an AI player and you will learn. Dying once or twice isn't that earth-shattering, but not dying altogether is probably the easiest way for a newbie to shine. Also, listen to StAcK3D_ActR, he gives very solid advice in the above post.

Aye, I tend to avoid custom games where someone asks me to move to a certain side and mostly prefer the matches where I'm on the same side as the host to be somewhat sure that I won't be facing a pre-arranged team with speech connections to each other and whatnot.

I, OTOH, feel that my money was well spent and I have had many a happy moment playing this game online. Sure, there have been some frustrations as well, but on the whole I'd say that the net effect has been very positive.

Kill stealing is kinda a nasty habit in many games. It robs your team mates of hard-earned points, often letting them bear the risks and you reaping the fruits. Not so in Demigod. You are pounding away on an enemy DG, they realize that they are losing and you give chase. You're faster than them and the enemy towers are far away, so it's only a matter of seconds until you get the kill. Then, bam, out of nowhere a Regulus snipes away and the opponent explodes into goo, rubble or

For me the big revelation about Oak was when I started to order the ghosts around. They replicate very fast when you have two flags in two different spots and though they don't do big damage, they add up the attrition. Especially against certain DGs like Reg and UB, but they work against everyone. So, press I and set them on your enemies. They won't get experience for killing them and they will distract them from farming and cost health and/or mana to get rid of. When you Penitence th
Why not give an option to "concede" a loss? The opposing team would then have to accept (most would). If you want to make it interesting, only allow a game to be conceded if there is a disconnect or unbalance of players on each side (2 players vs 1 and an AI for example). Also an option to do something similar, perhaps end a game with no pentalties or rewards if one whole team is AI players, though I have no idea if those will even matter.[/quote
