Well my experience with making maps is that optimization is a bitch and that we should be thankful if some half-decent 2vs2 will be available that are playable by everyone. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of new maps, but between all the enthusiasm and great ideas many people forget that it's actually a lot of work and a lot [b]will[/b] go wrong usually.

Yes, but it uses Granny, not 3DSMax. And nope, no map waiting, first Granny is supposed to be expensive, second maps take a long time to make. I hope there will be some sort of export tool for 3DSMax though because it's cheaper and more modders have experience with it, but no word from GPG (duh) on this.
