Well if people suck they suck, that is pretty straight forward. But people do not suck because they have an alternative build. Think outside the box. If you would only allow teammates to play a certain build then they could have just removed all demigods except one with a perfect build. But how much fun would that be? Remember, a big part of the competition and fun in the games comes from different people playing it in a different manner. You never know what to expect. It wouldn't be

Why is 'the impulse guy' working on a small table with 3 laptops? I assume it's a space issue, caused by putting more people in the office to get it fixed quick? Coding behind a laptop is very poor if you ask me, I get tired way sooner.
Most people have no problem saying gg and admitting defeat, they just want to get back into a situation where they can play again, not become fodder for another player's sadistic amusement.
It's true, but then you kind of have a big problem. People don't want to lose and get beaten on, but they sure do like to beat other players, and use them for sadistic amusement. Problem in these games is that for every winner there is a lo

If by "alternative builds" you mean "choosing all the broken lame ass abilities of your class and trying to win with them", then yes.
See, this is why I play almost only single player. No one in my games is absolutely and solely obsessed by winning. So anyone can play any build he likes, just so he can have some fun! (I know, it's unreal, someon

Wow, nice quick replay :) (edit: lol, whut?! replay? REPLY, god I need some coffee) I'm not sure when the icon thing started, but it certainly has always been like this since I first noticed the problem. Then again I read many forums and usually see very little of the page before I click to the next so I can't really say anything for sure.

Yes, I am on W7. Also I found 2 bugs, but I have to go to work now so I will post later tonight (EU time). Also, I'd still LOVE to use alt+s to send the post. Dunno if I can fix it but currently MSIE8 gives me the Safety menu when I do that. Dunno if MSIE8 should be 'fixed' or the forum should be 'fixed'. [edit] quick edit. other internet pages can use alt+s to post, so should be able here. I hope you'll be nice enough to add this quick fe

I think Frogboy and a lot of others have had a lot of hours of work and patience gets thin in those times. Everyone that has ever had a deadline will probably recognize it. It's a shame if there will be no more journals for a couple of weeks, but I'd fully understand. Take a little rest, you do this job to have fun with it, not to stress you out. I'd say Frogboy, just do your work but remember to have some fun in between, start up a game with some colleagues and see that

Second of all DOTA was a free mod and built by 1 guy in his free time. THis game costs 40+ bucks. Dota's bugs are much more acceptable becuase it was made using an old architecture. There realy is no DOTA vs. DG becuase hands down one is still pushing copies out and has paid tournaments and a serious infrastructure. YOu can't r

I don't want any DG vs DOTA discussion here, but can we please stop the DOTA comparisons here? DOTA had a LOT of bugs. They are fixed now because DOTA is what.. like 4 years old? Comparing a new game to an old mod is not constructive. Not that the argument about DG's bugs themselves aren't valid, they are.

Forum seems to be working well enough to leave the update as is, and continue fixing bugs from now on. Sounds paradoxal, but I mean no software rollback is necessary as far as I am concerned.

Thanks, I'll read it when I feel like it later. Being a software engineer (or should be, sort of) I have touched the edges of artificial intelligence programming. Thank god we only touched the subject, because it gets real complicated real fast. I wonder how much a neural network could help with this. If AI could learn of what human players do and if they could learn of their own deaths then it could turn into a pretty hard to beat AI. Too bad it takes too much cpu for games (

Another (long, long, long) game played, with 5vs5 on normal difficulty. I think it was on Prison (the dark 5vs5 map). Rook kamikazed a couple of times in the beginning, being a bit overconfident. Might be the class vs class thing, rook is very slow eary on and can be quite vulnerable. But he chased enemy DGs into their towers, which you don't surive <lvl10. Enemy AI seemed quite keen on teaming up on me, which is good. Too bad my own AI teamplayers didn't do the same
