Sedna gains movement speed and a self-heal, and has two interrupts. Obviously Yetis are very stupidly implemented, but besides that I would say Sedna is fine. I think one of the big problems with both QoT and Sedna is how ineffective healing/shielding becomes when you get into artifact territory. 1500 HP becomes a very small chunk of health compared to the potential damage someone maxed out on crit gear can do. Essentially, when

I think if you are going to say Sedna needs balancing early-game, I would also suggest that Sedna needs balancing late-game. 1000 HP is absolutely ineffective in the 17+ level range, and Sedna becomes one of the most leech-like DGs above that level because her damage is so low (in part thanks to a healing build) compared with other DGs. Yes, Sedna can do decent damage if you pimp her ride with artifacts, but it is absolutely minimal compared to what your teammates can do most likely, an
Honestly I feel like you guys are disconnected from the passion involved in competitive games. I love GalCiv II, I played the hell out of it, but it's a totally different game experience. I would wager your reactions on Elemental will be way, way more positive than your experiences with this game but it'll have much less to do with product quality than game type. Anyway I don't think it's anything you guys did wrong, it's just one of those things. If you guys ha
It sounds like he is advocating a form of microlending to fund game creation efforts. An interesting concept. It would certainly take a lot of work to get the structures in place, but its a good idea.
I agree with the sentiment of removing stats from custom games, but as stated previously in this thread, I feel it will lead to serious problems. The main problem that would be compounded by this is the phenomenon of pub stompers "surfing" Pantheon games until they get a match with each other. This leaves a huge swath of ruined matches in its trail, and degrades the overall experience for casual players. Especially when you keep in mind that you have premade
As stated, pure ooze, and take out her minions. With Ooze up you should be able to indefinitely stay in the fight (as long you are stacking HP like a good oozer.) If you can interrupt heals (hint, turn off the music) you will also make it extremely easy. Sedna is at her strongest point in the 10-15 range. After that, artifacts start to come into play, and the damage from auto-attack crits will far outdamage a 1k heal. Unless you
You can now concede within the first 3 minutes if you are paired with an AI partner, and the match will be recorded as N/A and not a win/loss.
Is this accurate? That makes absolutely no sense that concedes are not losses. When you concede, you are telling the other team they win. Hence, you lose. I thought concede was just to prevent rage-quitting, and not show up as disconnects.&n
If they had Giants before you, you were getting outplayed in flag caps. There is a reason there is a loud announcement everytime your war rank increases. War rank and high level creep are designed to be a crucial part of the game. As stated above. war rank, gold, and xp are the major resources of this game. If you are beating the opponent in one of these categories, it is still possible you can compete. This is an amazing f
As stated above in various different fashions, the problem with premades is that voice chat and coordination from playing together in the past will give you a very good chance of smashing any random put together team, and in particular, any new players. This is extremely demoralising for anyone, and will make the game bland fast. Here is what I worry about happening. New player decides to start playing custom games.
Quoting germ0nik, reply 3I have suggested this several times, and yes, there is a simple solution to this issue. In Pantheon/Skirmish, the players you are connecting to should just have their names as "Player 1" "Player 2" "Player 3" "Player 4" etc etc. People will not be able to tell who they are playing with, until the game has actually begun. That won't solve anything. A premade

This guy's logical analysis on ally health/mana is just brilliant. I think real skilled players would power their PC with a handcrank while they play Demigod. Anything more efficient is EASY MODE, and that is final. To clarify for you, micromanagement should not be some masochistic exercise that can be streamlined further, but isn't, because of "EASY MODE." That is retarded.
No, I meant, why do people go to Pantheon and try and get a game with their buddies? It's 10000000 times easier to set up a custom game.
I'm not sure, but I've run into it several times pretty much every day I play Pantheon.
What's the point in doing that? (ie why not play custom?)
The point is that people do it and it probably further adds to the difficulties of getting an actual 2v2 match going, since so many lopsided games start when a player quits out when he sees his buddy isn't in the connection info. tab. I think not displaying the names of the players you are connecting to in Pantheon/Skirmish wo
Also, since there is so much information here presented on Pantheon, do you guys have any opinions on people surfing Pantheons to play with their friends (i.e. quitting out of games until they end up with their friend?)
However, the frustrated gamers who give in to the urge to flame and rant on these forums without any intention of providing tangible contributions to the solving of these problems, need to remember that Stardock is a collection of individuals who take pride in their work, and need to see some support and consideration if they are to continue working at such a pace to fix these issues. We are all human.
I think I am not alone when I say I would love to hel
I'm glad to finally see some reports on Pantheon and Skirmish sucking, because they do. I love Stardock and GPG very dearly, but their current state is just unacceptable for game having been out in the release world for a month now. I have mentioned this in other threads, but I think if you want this community to stay healthy and vibrant, you need the "play it now" option (i.e skirmish and pantheon) to be vastly more functional
Play stability in 5v5 is a 'big issue'? I completely disagree. Most games are 3v3 (custom) or 2v2 (skirmish) and not just for stability reasons. I play 3v3, because trying to get a 4v4 or 5v5 going takes a dam long time, the chances of lag and dropouts exponentially increase it feels like. Also, looking at the maps, there is 1 2v2 map and 2 3v3 maps, the rest are 4v4 and 5v5, I think we can see what size game
If you are truly so dissatisfied, why not return the game and move on?
Most likely because he is a fan of the mechanics and of the actual gameplay itself, while being frustrated by nearly everything else about the game, like many players.

Because you know your allies are good or something? Being "pro" should mean you can handle any situation IMO. Much respect to those pantheon and skirmish players with high wins to losses, I have no clue how they do it.
Well, yes, that is the rati
The mechanics of the game are amazing, well designed, and enjoyable. There are serious connection issues to this date, and there is no real competitive system. If you want to be a competitive player, you go to custom games, and look for other premades. Or you use an alternative game-finding sytem.
It's not a bug. It's called the Internet. You will never be able to have a game where everyone online can connect to everyone else. It's like the people who complain about in-game lag. It's the Internet. It's not a bug, it's physics. If you want an idealized multiplayer experience you need to either play with friends who have connections and PCs that are well within the minimum requirements or on a LAN. I ask almost every custom game I join, and to this date, I've never had anyone tell me they are in the lobby, but I have had plenty tell me as they are telling me gg and the game is ending that they are in fact a premade.
I'm not confident it will stay the same size without Pantheon/Skirmish/other networking issues being decisively corrected.
