I can play all well enough. My one weak link at this point seems to be oak, though I think I can pull him off as needed. I was shite with Erb up until 2-3 weeks ago when I finally set out some time to play a proper assassin build with him.
"Zamzoph" style Oak ftw. I generally know what I should/could be doing in Demigod with all characters... except for QoT after level 10.
Hm, I didn't realize that Ooze UB was playable, but I'll take your word for it, since you've obviously made it work. I would imagine that this build would be devastating with a Sedna on your team that has High Priests and HW II.The healing would be insane. I *loved* in the replay how you capped flags incredibly fast. I hadn't thought of that one before. Also, I'm not sure what all of those hybrid UB builds you have beaten were, but
More beastial wrath builds plz. Im just gonna post my idea here about BW and hopefully the community can provide more feedback on this. If Im not wrong, the only reason why this skill is skiped is because of the animation and cast time, the mana cost is almost identical to spit. Yet, spit doesnt scale well compared to bestial wrath which scales incredibly well late game. Suppose you're playin with erebus and oak in your team, imho

I'd probably go 3 points of God Strength late late game rather than stats. 150 damage a swing is noticeable, and I feel like late game the Rook will probably be meleeing a lot more as opponent demigods build stronger resistance to his towers through armor. A lot of "to the death" battles are fought at key flags such as portal flags, and after a boulder and slam, it's gonna turn into a melee fest. The stat bonuses are kind of trivial that late in the game, the extra damage wi

Well hopefully after enough gaming drought the pre's will just buckle down and play other pre's. They can take a screenshot of their once leet win % and print it out and keep it tucked under their pillow to help them sleep at night. I know that's what I do with mine.

I suppose if you focus fire an ereb, he will mist, then you can hit him with a spit when he un-mists and it's on cooldown.

Acclimation is OP late game. Once a health stacked ooze beast gets acclimation, it's freakin' impossible to drop him since just about all endgame spells trigger it, and his auto attack > yours thanks to ooze. If he's packin' sigils, I advise you just run away. And why would you use spit vs Erebus? He'll just mist. A good Erebus will just flee the battle anyway with bat swarm if things don't go in his favor.

Maybe the key is to not fight it straight up at all and just try to outsiege. Minion Oak, minion erebus and QoT (for ground spikes and shield). Ground spikes and minions should make quick work of any rook towers leaving rook vulnerable. Shield can help to avoid getting brutalized by the stuns. And enough minions will be able to do a number on their towers from a safe distance. Ground spikes are also good for creep control mid to late, and will assist in k

I didn't say your build was crap. I think it's good minus the Foul Grasp 2 and 3. I don't think that extra 300 damage is what won the game. Moreso the chain of stuns and the Rook dominating our towers.

33 Replies 7,123 Views

No, I don't use it for the regen. That's my point. I use it for the stun. And I use it often. Apparently you use it for the regen. Realistically you're not always going to be at full mana when engaging in fights. I'd rather save that mana for spit and/or more grasps. The extra levels in grasp only give you an additional 332 life drain at the cost of nearly double the mana. Who's gonna win the fight when you spit and only have 1k mana left?

33 Replies 7,123 Views

Say you have a 4k mana pool end game. Number of rank 1 grasps you can do: 5 Amount of life drained (assuming you let it do the full duration and don't pop Ooze or Wand of Speed): 1660 Total stun time: 10 seconds Number of rank 3 grasps you can do: 2 Amount of life drained: 1328 Total stun time: 4 seconds Granted there are cooldowns and regen but basically the stun durat

Not bad. Putting more than 1 point into foul grasp is a total waste IMO. Nothing like being unable to grasp because it costs 1400 freakin' mana.

Other than the occasional gosu play, I feel that replays for this type of game would be quite boring to watch imo. I'd much prefer time invested in item/hero balancing at the moment. But I'm not going to say they're useless. If you get beaten down by someone it's always nice to take a look at exactly what beat you in order to come up with a strong counter. And n00bs can at least learn to mimic a pr0sauce team. So replays may evolve the game somewhat.

Good guide. Maybe upgrade Scaled to Plenor at some point? And banded to nimoth/hauberk- whichever is left. I play Queen basically the same way although I usually get swift anklet / cloak of night. I'll try the teleporting strat though it sounds good.

What are thoughts on staff of renewal for a frost TB? I know it's butter for a fire TB. I do like swift anklet, but staff late game seems like it would be more dominant. I also occasionally like to put a couple of points into fire nova instead of deep freeze- especially against minion builds.

95% of Demigod players are n00bs. Thus, Rook is 95% awesome! Maybe he is weaker against high-level, organized players. But that boulder to hammer slam combo is so satisfying... I'm assuming good players know better than to stand close enough to be caught by that. I really haven't played many.
What is the best way to determine a Demigod's performance? Favor points really is the best way to do it with the numbers we have available. TB is more prone to favor points than anyone but he's not #1.
Win %? Again, I feel like some demigods are simply more prone to earning certain favor awards. You probably won't see a rook capping the most flags, but he's pretty good at holding flags, and capping and holding the gam

First off, I love the Rook. He's an awesome demigod, especially on Cataract. I don't think speed is the best way to go on him. Ideally your allies would teleport in to your towers to turn the tide of an uneven battle, or you can tp out. Also, favor is definitely biased. There is not much consideration for support. Healing with sedna, shielding allies as oak, etc. Sure, reg got tons of favor by sniping everyone, thus racking in asissts, kills, but he

Just have the AI run back and forth avoiding demigods and putting capture locks on flags and I'm happy.

I think QoT biggest weakness is shamblers, and a viable alternative skill tree after level 10. Bramble shield and ground spikes are great, but after those are maxed it's all downhill.
