Nerf minion builds for being boring, despite being overpowered.

The harsh reality that are these forums has made the once naive and optimistic Frogboy... a broken and despondent Frogman.
Maybe just have a relatively high amount for the kill, and assist gold is split evenly among the number that assisted, rather than additively. If there are no assists, give some of the assist gold to whomever got the kill as a bonus. For example: 800 gold for the kill. 1 assist = 400 gold. 2 assists = 250 gold each. 0 assists = 1000 gold for the kill. To me that seems more balanced than the current additive system, yet promotes team kills somewh
Yeah, it does seem ridiculous the amount of gold that can be earned on a single kill on assists alone. It doesn't make sense how you can have 4 solo kills, and be awarded less gold overall than a team who gets 2 kills but were trample kills that everyone got a piece of, even if it's only a tiny amount of damage from each. I'm for the % of damage dealt method + a reasonable gold bonus for whomever got the killing blow.
I have a friend who's 50-35. He's pretty good, and those stats are solid considering he plays alone often. The two people ranked above him are 1-14.

On Demigod, I'll always be merely the messenger of news (good and bad) and frankly, the Demigod community is too toxic for me to want to spend my free time being apart of. Maybe that's because of the early networking issues the game had or because of the genre of the game or the demographic of the players.
Yeah I've found that hosting your own game and putting "No Premades" in the title generally does the trick if you're looking to PUG. However, that doesn't stop your opponents from potentially working as a team, so be careful!
Regarding pantheon/skirmish: I like the idea someone mentioned where it will team you up with people who are on your friends lists. That would be EASY to do. What's the consensus here on that thought?
Sure. As long as you play against other teamed people, and your performance is tracked so as to be pitted against those with similar stats. Also, I think the chat tool may need to be im
Demigod is a team based game. It's definitely way more fun playing with a friend or other players than alone. I think an arranged team ladder is highly justified. I've read countless Starcraft 2 interviews and they ALWAYS cater to the hardcore, and the rest sort of fall in place. If the hardcore have an outlet to compete they have no reason to stomp on casual gamers repeatedly. Everyone should at least have the opportunity to be hardcore should they choose to.&
Interrupting Sedna heals is near impossible. It's basically anticipation and luck. But if you use it immediately after Sedna casts a heal, at high levels it doubles the cooldown time right? That can be quite helpful in bursting her down, and buys some time for other interrupts like frost nova or a partners stun to refresh without her able to heal back the damage done.

Erebus and Oak together is unbalanced.
That may be so, but stating it without any logical argument is kind of pointless. Double Queen is unbalanced. Did that statement just mean anything? No.
Ultimately, if/when there is some kind of functional "Arranged Team" automatic ladder system, I highly doubt that doubles will be banned. So you can either play with doubles now and try to find effective counters to overpowered doubles teams, or you can get blindsided by them when you're inevitably matched up against one. If you hate doubles for whatever reason, then fine, ban it from your custom games. That's why they're custom. But a legit ladder system of any sign
I can see facing a doubles or triples or whatever team being difficult to coordinate against. Focus fire the beast... uhhh which one? In the mix of things I'd say the multiplicity factor has an advantage of confusion. But I guess that swings both ways if you get your own demigod confused, heh.
Just the way all the citadel upgrades are set up (with the exception of those that provide completely different benefits, such as new creep or Finger of God), each new rank replaces the former rank. Currency isn't cumulative for the same reason Tower upgrades, Armory, etc, aren't cumulative. The same thing is applied to Demigod skills (except for the Enhance Attributes and Morale 'skills', probably because of the way toolt
Don't know what to tell you. Sedna with BotF + Monks is very strong early game.
Right. I was referring to Sedna with swift anklet having issues. I don't really have issues with BotF and Cloak of Night early game when I grab monks. Also I saw some post where someone mentioned a "smart team would stagger their ranks of priest". What is the benefit of this? Wouldn't having all of the h
I'm not entirely sure how the mechanics of monks work. Do they heal themselves? When they do, are they not healing you? Is it their priority to heal you before themselves? As Sedna, I can't help but feel that monks off the break sometimes leave me weaker- unless I get blood as the favor, or the cloak of the night which has inherent mana. Granted, that is most of the time, but occasionally I get swift anklet on her, and when that happens I often find my monks ge
I don't understand why, for currency 2, you don't get twice the benefit of currency I. I'm referring to at least 8g/tic, or possibly even up to 12g/tic for having both upgrades. Wouldn't that make it worth it? It has to really deliver something since it's available so relatively late in the game and for a significant cost. It just seems like the scaling of some of these upgrades just aren't worth it to come up with viable alternative strats, less Giants.
Queen is playable but Shamblers feel weak and ineffective to me at least. And leveling uproot at levels 11+ seems pointless as it feels like a total waste of mana since ground spikes are so effective at destroying towers. So it feels like she peaks at level 10. So yeah, shamblers need fixin', and uproot needs to be a more useful alternative. Spike wave, ground spikes and bramble are all solid, though. Maybe make uproot a passive effect for ground spikes and giv
But mark slows for 50% or more. Is it just flat out nerfed now?
Good point. Note to self: High ranks of mark just became the new foul grasp.
How exactly did they nerf it? Is it a cap or diminishing returns or something?
As an occasional UB player, I've played against some pretty bad beasts. Even n00bs find a way to make beast terrible. That having been said, he's probably my strongest demigod. Given an equal skill level I feel like he definitely has an overall advantage over most demigods. And he is quite easy to learn how to dominate with. But he is not unkillable- that would be sedna with bugged priests.
Yeah I discovered this recently and I was impressed. The cooldown is really short, and it works great for chars like reg to pop before planting mines, and on beast for a quick spit and grasp at half cost. The amount of mana you save adds up really fast. But yeah, I was hoping this would stay a secret. Tee hee. Oh well.

This build works really well when you get that dysnc error and all of the human players leave the game.
