Oh one thing i do recommend Stardock, you need to increase your level of communication :)

Oh sheesh Irek, Frogboy has only played 47 games (at least under that moniker). Just cause they are the publisher doesn't make them pro's! lol. Love the shirt Frogboy, that's aweseome!
[quote who="bane_solemon" reply="14" id="2360202"] Quoting jongalt26, reply 13 Spending 1750 for the bloodstone ring which is 3% life steal and 400 health isn't a good item at the beginning. (I honeslty dont think that item would ever be a good buy.) This item is probably what hurt you the most, along with vlemish faceguard. Here is my thinking (please feel free to disagree or if experienced rook players can weigh in). Ok i wi
A few things: First off, for the first month when I started playing I let everyone know that i was new and would certainly welcome advice and direction. It's just a courteous move to your teammates and hopefully a learning experience as well. I definitely got kicked from some lobbies and got my ass kicked in games for quite some time. I recommend (as others have) that you follow suit. There are plenty of people out there, including myse
[quote who="Shade" reply="322" id="2357798"] Quoting marcinex, reply 320 I got one too juankirikoke We have played a 1v1 Conquest game on The Brothers today. He chose to play a tower & slam Rook against Erebus and, quite predictably, got badly owned. After 20 minutes he asked for a rematch and quit. At this point I got an 'AI has taken over for juankirikoke' message, followed by the victory screen. The game does not appear in the stats tho
Wow that's crazy.
Kestral, I've modified my build based on yours (And Pacov's) suggestions. I've been getting L1 healers at the start wit BOF as my favor, this definitely helps with staying power. Frst trip back I try to get banded + vlemish and then L4 healers - nimoth - WoS - unbreakable - L4 archers - hauberk - and if the game goes long enough then nimoths / artifact. This has provided a lot of staying power as well. Thanks a lot for the help! j
For gaminng having 50% of the channels populated with the highest amount of ram possible with the lowest latencies will garner the best results. For AMD / DDR 2 this is typically 2 gig sticks in 2 channels (for dual channel) for a total of 4 gigs. Populating the other channels will increase latency. For the i7 procs that run tri-channel the sweet spot right now is 2 gig stix in 3 channels for 6 gigs total. Now with that being said, this is for gaming. For ram i
Thanks for the post Cos, that's interesting. j
Good luck PC Gamer! :) j
"Demigod isn’t just an outstanding game but is one of the best strategy games that’s ever been released for online play. " Being an old school gamer myself, i couldn't agree more. Thanks a lot you guys! j
Probably (1080p) 1920 x 1080 is the "best" resolution since this is probably the native resolution of your panel. However, I run a 44" panel as well that is 1080p but I run demigod at the next lowest widescreen format just to make selecting items on screen a lot easier. I play FPS games at full res but found that to be a bit cumbersome with demigod. j
Frogboy, thank you for taking the time to respond well to those questions. Pacov, thanks for the excellent questions. Ready to play looks awesome! I also don't mind paying extra for demigods although i do think the price should include 2 demi's or a bit of a reduction. Perhaps charging for the DLC would get rid of some of the riffraff in the forums haha. j
How many slots does it have? j
Oh man there's some good games in here. Excluding consoles (atari, intellivision) My first PC was a commy 64 and my first program was Fast Hack 'em which prompted the borrowing of multiple games. So i would have to say the first one was probably Jumpman Jr but the first one i really remember loving was Bards Tale (not to discount Zork and others) Some great mentions in this thread, shadow of the beast, Dune, Master of Magic, eye of the beholder and one of
First off I have to thank Pacov for allowing Paint and I to play with your team. It's been great as I learn more about various builds, playstyles and the game in general. Secondly, premade is the way to go with this game. It not only provides reliability amongst the players but a depth to the game that just can't really be found in PUGs. Cow, that's a pretty good idea. I wish there was a way to link vent or TS servers. Heck most of the time i'm in both.
I think more has to do with the time of day. The evenings are definitely prime time bro. j
I have seen been in too many games where a person (typically a regulus) will just sit there and auto-attack to farm grunts in a lane and stand an inch away from activation of an unopposed flag. The ironic thing is that they are ranged attackers so they could easily cap and farm at the same time. At the beginning of the game most creeps don't make it to the tower unless an opposing demi is taking our your creeps which means the flag that is there is opposed versus unopposed.
Aiight, some of my games in the list didn't have style, I can understand that. I'll revise it. But here is one that does that hasn't been mentioned: Tron 2.0 j
Quote: Deus Ex: Probably the best game I've ever played? I replay it once every couple of years. (Also TNM kicks ass!) Agreed and one of my all time faves of all time, I can't wait for DXIII, i keep reading that it isn't going to suck like the previous one they tried to pawn off as Deus Ex II. My list includes: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (That would be the intellivision ve
Probobly some idiot who thought QoT was OP.
Oak is my fav. char. as well. The minions have a bad case of ADDHD. You have to watch the ground based minions closely or you will lose one. Sometimes you'll find he's just staring off into space next to a tower, sometime's they like to walk back and forth on one side of the citadel, (usally the backside closest to the crystal - teleporting fixes this) and sometimes they just like to wander on their own while you wait to cap a flag. Using the hotkeys helps a l
Golgoth, reminds me of a time when a regulus on my team farmed creeps the entire game and did the occasional non effective random snipe so he wouldn't have any mana when the snipe would have been beneficial. At the end of the game (where we lost) he was level 20, everyone else (including other team) was 15 or below). When questioned he was just a little l337 kid exclaiming "Pro tips" while he spatted off some nonesense. Anyways, here are my protips:
FYI getting flags is more important than killing a wave of creeps. The flag will give you more experience and will help your team with the benefits of the flag and the warscore. Stopping to kill a wave of creeps before getting the flag is bad, unless you have a quick cast Area of Effect (AOE) damange spell / ability that will take care of them quickly (ie. Oaks surge, Unlcean Beast's ooze, hammer slam etc.) j
They're back up!
