Probably (1080p) 1920 x 1080 is the "best" resolution since this is probably the native resolution of your panel. However, I run a 44" panel as well that is 1080p but I run demigod at the next lowest widescreen format just to make selecting items on screen a lot easier. I play FPS games at full res but found that to be a bit cumbersome with demigod. j

Frogboy, thank you for taking the time to respond well to those questions. Pacov, thanks for the excellent questions. Ready to play looks awesome! I also don't mind paying extra for demigods although i do think the price should include 2 demi's or a bit of a reduction. Perhaps charging for the DLC would get rid of some of the riffraff in the forums haha. j

Oh man there's some good games in here. Excluding consoles (atari, intellivision) My first PC was a commy 64 and my first program was Fast Hack 'em which prompted the borrowing of multiple games. So i would have to say the first one was probably Jumpman Jr but the first one i really remember loving was Bards Tale (not to discount Zork and others) Some great mentions in this thread, shadow of the beast, Dune, Master of Magic, eye of the beholder and one of

First off I have to thank Pacov for allowing Paint and I to play with your team. It's been great as I learn more about various builds, playstyles and the game in general. Secondly, premade is the way to go with this game. It not only provides reliability amongst the players but a depth to the game that just can't really be found in PUGs. Cow, that's a pretty good idea. I wish there was a way to link vent or TS servers. Heck most of the time i'm in both.

I have seen been in too many games where a person (typically a regulus) will just sit there and auto-attack to farm grunts in a lane and stand an inch away from activation of an unopposed flag. The ironic thing is that they are ranged attackers so they could easily cap and farm at the same time. At the beginning of the game most creeps don't make it to the tower unless an opposing demi is taking our your creeps which means the flag that is there is opposed versus unopposed.

Aiight, some of my games in the list didn't have style, I can understand that. I'll revise it. But here is one that does that hasn't been mentioned: Tron 2.0 j

Quote: Deus Ex: Probably the best game I've ever played? I replay it once every couple of years. (Also TNM kicks ass!) Agreed and one of my all time faves of all time, I can't wait for DXIII, i keep reading that it isn't going to suck like the previous one they tried to pawn off as Deus Ex II. My list includes: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (That would be the intellivision ve

Oak is my fav. char. as well. The minions have a bad case of ADDHD. You have to watch the ground based minions closely or you will lose one. Sometimes you'll find he's just staring off into space next to a tower, sometime's they like to walk back and forth on one side of the citadel, (usally the backside closest to the crystal - teleporting fixes this) and sometimes they just like to wander on their own while you wait to cap a flag. Using the hotkeys helps a l

Golgoth, reminds me of a time when a regulus on my team farmed creeps the entire game and did the occasional non effective random snipe so he wouldn't have any mana when the snipe would have been beneficial. At the end of the game (where we lost) he was level 20, everyone else (including other team) was 15 or below). When questioned he was just a little l337 kid exclaiming "Pro tips" while he spatted off some nonesense. Anyways, here are my protips:

FYI getting flags is more important than killing a wave of creeps. The flag will give you more experience and will help your team with the benefits of the flag and the warscore. Stopping to kill a wave of creeps before getting the flag is bad, unless you have a quick cast Area of Effect (AOE) damange spell / ability that will take care of them quickly (ie. Oaks surge, Unlcean Beast's ooze, hammer slam etc.) j

Mr9, please send me a plane ticket + per diem + room & board accomodations (for 4 weeks) and i'll bring you a copy of demigod (and 10 other games of your choice, plus a new computer). In answer to your question though both will give you the serial key. The retail box will be mailed to you but you will still get your key immediately. j

The early adopters cover the game development, some of the ongoing development and VC / investment capitol. Adding new sales of units just adds to the profit margin with fairly fixed development costs. I know a handful of people who picked up Demi at 20% and 50% off so hopefully Max turns out to be right! j

I know Frogboy declared demigod a success. One question I have is how many units have been sold total. The player base has stayed around 2000 for july and august. Let's assume that it's all brand new players for both months and add 1000 units for a total of 5000 units at $40 each. That's a net total of $200k. I wonder what the development costs were? would even doubling it cover everything? $400k (10,000 units) wouldn't cover the expenses of 10 pe

15. It is the girth that counts. 16. It is "more better" to get an unopposed flag first then farm creeps as opposed to farming creeps for XP and letting the other team keep the flag. 17. Domination is won with speed and flag locks. 18. At the beginning of the game the most important "neutral" flags to get and keep are the +gold, +experience and +health flags (an IM not so HO in that order) 19. In some situations it is b
yeah I agree with nerfing the locks too. The cool down should out last the effect of the lock by at least 10 seconds in my opinion. Maybe even 15. People may say "learn to play", but I think it's kinda lame that infinite portal locking is so darn easy.
Perhaps a cool down on the flag itself where a new lock can be placed on it from either team and a reduced cool down on casting the lock so you could throw it on ano

When I play QoT I play her in a similar fashion with exception to some of the items. What do you guys think? favor: teleport - it saves me so much $ in scrolls haha. I won't buy anything at the start and will save $ for high priests with intent to upgrade to bishops later on. Then: Vlemish faceguard If i need a speed boost then Wand of Speed (upgrade to bishops) Unbreakable boots then plenor or nimoth depending on where the game is a
