Hey Elrikk, I bought a '97 Les Paul Studio but its not the same as my old Custom. A Les Paul along with a Mesa Boogie amp produces the sweetest sustain. For me it isn't so much a second childhood but a return to something that gives me true happiness and freedom. I try to visualize when I'm 60 and playing at the local Moose Lodge and some old timer requests "Stairway to Heaven" or "Tubesnake Boogie". LOL

47 here. I still have my original Tactics 2. After graduating from Catholic school in '69, I grew my hair long, bought a guitar and played rock and roll. People thought my obsession with wargames and miniatures was odd. After a stint in the business world, I grabbed my guitar again and am having the time of my life. I never did cut my hair or stopped playing games. Never will. The age spectrum on this forum is fascinating.

I installed BOTF, Alpha Centauri and IG2. I seemed to be more involved with IG2. I'm getting a little burnt with the endless messages but having fun. I'm glad that I'm having no problems running them on XP. I used to run them on 98.

After my extreme disappointment with MOO3, I reinstalled IG2 and Alpha Centauri just to get over the let down. I'm impressed with the overall concern and desire of everybody involved here to put out a quality product with continous support and customer involvement. Even the posters have an overall better attitude than some other sites. Has anyone been to the Generals site lately. It can be a hostile environment. Forget MOO3's site. That's interesting, cause after my disappointment with MOO3 I had a craving for Alpha Centauri.

I returned my copy of MOO3 today. Even after giving it plenty of time and knowing what I was in for I couldn't justify the money. I wanted to like it but it has no entertainment value for me. :(
