Thanks for posting this Hedgie, always looking for tips on how to play Sed.

(poll numbers updated) I like thinking of Sigils like "adrenaline shots" (LfD) or Demigod steroids. Helps you get out of a sticky situation - but what if there was a downside as well? How about something crazy like: Increase Attack Speed +30%, Health Regen +50% for 10 sec. After 10 sec, Attack Speed is -10% and Armor -50% for 10 sec.
Along with others here, I strongly recommend that you host your own games and call them "Noob Only." Make sure to check people's stats as they join. You can do that by clicking on the "Player Info" button that appears in the in-game lobby. For noobs games, I think it's fair to kick anyone with more than 50 games. Heck, you can set your own rules as host and kick anyone with more than 20 games if you like. Also, just be aware that Demigod has a relatively small

With the (perhaps optimistic) prospect of a series of patches coming through for DG, it seems appropriate to start coalescing as a community on what we'd like to see changed. I am happy to see another Balance Thread has appeared and I hope people contribute to it. I'd like this thread to only concentrate on Sigils , which have an enormous impact on gameplay in Demigod. Please post your arguments fo
If I'm not mistaken, Electrocution is half fixed. They changed the buff multiplier to -1 which is mostly correct. However, it doesn't eliminate regeneration, what it does is adds a -100% modifier to regen. Normally this works as expected, however when a demigod has a +% multiplier to Energyregen or Regen (i.e, BattleCrown, Plate Visor, etc) the multipliers are added together. So if the BattleCrown granting +70% mana regeneration and the
Any updates on the update?
I'm embarrassed to say that while I like playing Sedna, I don't have a firm understanding of how best to use Silence. I've read several excellent players (whose opinion I respect) say that Silence is an outstanding skill, but that they often see other players misuse it. I'd rather not be one of those "other players." Any tips on when/how to use Silence to get the most for your mana?
Heh, I know what you're talking about. Just yesterday I played a tight, high-level game (3v3) as Sedna, and I was really struggling with watching my teammates' health, watching my opponents' health, etc. esp. when we all got into 3v3 scrums. I know I f'ed up a couple times with my heals because I couldn't track peoples' stats fast enough. A couple things: 1. Use your scroll-wheel to zoom in when things get crazy, like a 3v3 scrum. In general, it's best
Yeah, I hate to say it but playing Pantheon is almost worthless. You typically aren't going to get a full team game (at least 2v2), which is what Demigod is all about. Rook is going to have a real hard time in 1v1, as you've noticed, for lots of different reasons. Most players just play Custom games, and you can even find "noob" games there. There are a number of good Rook builds in these forums. I actually posted one on my blog at: <a href="http://fenrisjaw.bl
added Ninki_CZ'z recent strat guide, "Common Mistakes"
So, I know this has been discussed to death, but if you could make ONE FIX to QuT (from a patch standpoint) to make her viable late-game, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Make Spike-Wave an interrupt? Seriously buff Entourage (esp. lvl 8) so that Shamblers kick total ass? Make lvl 10 Shield invulnerable to Special Abilities?
bumped. added RAWRRR's excellent new strat article.
Great to hear that Demigod is not dead. And hopefully with the current $10 sale, we'll seen an influx of new players.
Hey Peppe -- Did some additional playtesting with 1.9 tonight. Things are really coming along - several of the builds are excellent at this point. My major quibbles, still, with AI behavior are the following: 1. The AI's are still suiciding themselves periodically on enemy towers. Just really idiotic behavior with no purpose. 2. The Ai's don't prioritize capping portal flags, or even recapturing their own portal flag, nearly enough.
some new links added. there haven't been many new strategy guides lately (but lots of builds). i'll try to keep this updated as much as possible, and hopefully it will eventually get pinned.
I believe i left the chat on for what upgrade it shopepd for.
Yes, and I was really pleasantly surprised by this. Please leave in future updates.
bump (please sticky for new players)
Peppe -- Just finished a single-player game with the new build. Here are the details: 3v3 Cataract. me + 2 Normal AI on my side, 3 Hard AI on other side. The big thing I noticed with this build is that the AI's are teleporting like crazy. This is definitely increasingly their survivavility, but to be honest, it plays a bit odd. It's pretty much guarenteed now that in a fight, once the AI hits 50% of their health, they'll tele out of there - unless they
Well, actually yes if you download and install this mod here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/369721 You will need to choose "Random General" and it will default to Occulus. I have been doing this recently and trying to come up with a viable Occ build in single-player.
Definitely enjoying this mod. The AI UB build on hard/nightmare is actually tough at this point. The AI's are teleporting more often, and often at meaningful times - in my last game, a UB telied in for a nice 3 on 2 gank against one of my AI teammates. The item builds seem to be helping a lot. I do get the sense that the AI's are returning to base a bit more, but that's probably OK. I have yet to see my teammates buy priests/angels or cats. However, in my l
Another vote for Team Fortress 2. So much fun, even after all this time. I haven't played Left for Dead 2 yet, but I suspect it's also excellent.
Hawk: Just in case you didn't try this already... 1. Lower your sound settings to medium. 2. Turn re-verb off. 3. Make sure your windows speaker settings are on stereo/headphone/2-speaker (not quadrophonic). All of these steps are important, and they completely solved my problems playing DG.
Peppe -- This is great work. I'll try to do some play-testing tonight. My input on Rook: If it's a slam build (which it looks like you have now), give him the Anklet for better escape ability - or maybe Dark Crimson Vial, which is now a more viable favor item after 1.2. Is the AI good at knowing when to pop health potions? Because that's basically what the vial is. If it's a tower build (and I don't know how well the AI does this - probably not well),
Peppe -- This is great work. I hope you keep at it with the Skill trees and such. I'll try to pipe in suggestions, but I'd certainly trust everything (well, maybe not *everything*) Pacov says. Just a quick question: have you also looked at how AI's choose their favor items? Once I started watching replays and noticed that AI's will choose Baubles and Coin Pouches and other crap, I started realizing the depth of the problem...
