Hello -- I tried out the Demon Assassin in single player last night. Great fun, and looking forward to seeing how he shakes up the online metagame. However, I did experience one big bug. After my first death with him, once the timer expired I respawned and could play normally - but the entire screen was greyed out, as if I was still dead. The death noise continued to play as well. But, as I said, I could move, attack, capture flags, and even buy items a
Blasphemy. EA made Mail Order Monsters.
Ha! I played MOM on my commodore 64 and thought it was the best thing since Bard's Tale. Be careful, Frogboy, you're dating yourself. That might fly with us old-timers, but the "I don't trust anyone over 30 crowd" may turn on you.
Quilbo: I second CelMare's suggestion to try altering your sound settings. I have my graphics set to high, but I needed to alter sounds settings to get reasonable sim speeds: 1. Put sound settings on medium or low. 2. Turn Reverb OFF. 3. Make sure your windows speaker settings are set to 2 speakers (or headphones) and not 4 (quadrophonic). This magically transformed Demigod for me. Hope you figure it all out!
Other options: keep these uber l33t favor items, but make them have drawbacks as well: Spirit of the Fallen -> Burden of the Fallen +1100 hp , +8 hps, -200 mana, -3mps (doesn't affect pure-Ooze UB much but whatever) or +1000 hp, +10 hps, -5% movement speed Makes Rook even harder to push out of a lane, but even easier to gank if you get the upperhand on him. Not quite as viable for UB, who might need to chase, etc.<br
I am very pumped about several of these fixes. I can't wait to start using hex scrolls as a support Sedna/Queen to f' with Oaks/Erebs/UB's. I love the prospect that Dodge builds may now become viable. Am curious to see how this one plays out. Love the increased mana drain of Guantlets of Despair. But again, I feel I need to ask: will this actually drain mana (you gain what your opponent loses)?! Please say YES. I may start buy
Well I have decided to give this game another chance. So I was looking for some good replays that can show me how the meta game is going but mostly to show me how not to ruin 4 other peoples game by being a comeplete noob. Would anyone be so kind as to recomend some? Awesome thread really helping me out with getting back into the game.
Hey FuduVudu. Welcome back. Demigod replays are being
Really, I don't think this discussion should be about Skirmish vs. Pantheon. Given that the community has shrunk significantly over the past few months, it was necessary to eliminate one. Skirmish lost and that's OK. But Pantheon absolutely does need some fixes, as Pacov points out. 1. Eliminate the Light vs. Dark distinction. Yes, this in a sense would make Pantheon = Skirmish, but that's why that debate is senseless. This way, if 6 players are in

Nice detailed post. Good job.
Yes. As of late, I feel quite similarly to you, Gud. I had a night like this early this week, where I must've joined 4 or 5 games, and NONE of them actually finished due to the new Disconnect Screen bug, random crashes to desktop, and invalid gamestates (likely, unintentional). I hate bashing this game, since I do get such a thrill from it, but it's really frickin' frustrating sometimes.
In general, the overlay is working great. I played two awesomely excellent games yesterday because the host specifically wanted to balance teams. In our second game, there was a total noob on each team paired with 2 relatively experienced players. It was actually a blast, and I think the noobs learned a lot from it. I don't think strong players are "locked out" because of the overlay - as long as teams are matched for relative experience, it shouldn't be a problem.</
Yes, this happened to me yesterday. Game was completed with no disconnects and no crashes . However, on my games list it shows as "Incomplete": http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1026585/player/75580/ Not sure why this game didn't report back to Stardock.
Yesterday (10-13-09), I literally could not complete a single game of demigod due to this problem. I was able to get into a total of 4 games. In 3 of them, the connectivity screen came up and froze the game permanently for all players. In the 4th game, I was just simply booted out of my game, crash to desktop, and I'm sure my teammates saw a disconnect screen pop up while this was happening. I should also note that while my team did go on to win this game (Yay!), my ga

Every now and then, nothing happens when I click the info buttons. I still see games played in the connection dialog, but I can't access the specific player info. BTW: I loved seeing my notes on players start popping up. Great feature.
Why does it say I have 60 games played, instead of 225?
I'm having a similar issue. I've played 168 games but via the overlay it only says I've played around 70. This isn't just tournament only games, as I've only played 38 of those. Not sure what is going on.
Awesome! Will try it out tonight, Frogboy. If we see any bugs, should we report them in this thread, or elsewhere?
The way I see it, the General's minions are supposed to have the following unique characteristics: 1. QoT Shambers : range attack, some AoE 2. Sedna Yetis: high hp, high damage, low #'s 3. Oak's Spirits: low hp, high mobility 4. Erebus Minions : easy to create, average health, average DPS So, erebus' minions might need to be nerfed just a

Some further suggestions on Mana-drain items: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/365714 The biggest issue, as I see it, is that the Guantlets of Despair DO NOT actually drain mana (as in life-steal). They simply cause the enemy DG to lose mana. I suspect this is the intended effect, but it's just not good enough to justify the cost of the item. Here are the gritty details: <span style="text-decoration: under
Will keep an eye out for these as well. Thanks, pacov!
Currently, there are only 2 items in the game that can be used for mana-draining enemy DG's: Warlord's Punisher and Guantlets of Despair. Both received slight buffs in update 1.19 - but it could be argued that both are still underpowered and relatively useless, compared to other items of similar cost. I would love to have mana-drain be a viable build for certain DG's, esp. Reg and TB. The thing is, I don't think that either item needs much to make them useful items
