A big regarding selling and re-buying of priests was reported here . Briefly, if you sell your monks at citadel and buy them back, the summoning icon is greyed out and you can't actually summon them. Not sure if this happens all the time, and I haven't tested in SP yet (will do so tonight). But it has happened to at least 2 of us since 1.19.
Last night I sold my priests as sedna to buy catas to citadel. When i got money again to buy the monks i bought them and they had the icon in inventory.
Yes, this has happened to me as well. Only noticed it since 1.19 patch.

Yes, agree with OP in all aspects. Please allow pantheon games to mix demigods in whatever way is necessary to facilitate match-making between REAL human opponents. I get the sense that players care much more about individual rankings than the light-dark war. As such, I don't think people will care if this aspect of the game is sacrificed.

The connectivity screen stayed up. We wait 5-10 min. Nothing happened. Someone disconnects. Nothing happens. Someone else disconnects - we see desync message and game ends. This behavior is new and appears to be caused by desync handling in 1.19. [/quo

I'm an optimistic Demigodder. I think that with the introduction of 2 new Demigods and some updates to the Custom Game interface, we're going to see a re-surgence in players and open games. One thing that concerns me is that new players to DG often have several bad initial online experiences (e.g get spanked) and decide to give the game up. I think Demigod is a fantastic game and I'd like to do my part to help new players develop some basic survival skills so that the entire
But with the adjustment to Gauntlets of Despair this might make for a viable combo. Now you can use WP for an opening shot, do a bit of damage and drain then auto attack with the gauntlets causing further drain. It might not be worth the sacrifice of 2 slots though.
I have been toying with a build along these lines. The question I have is: Do the Guantlets of Despair actually drain mana, or just cause the enemy DG to lose mana?<
maybe also not ranking people till they've played x games?
Yes. This would solve the "problem" of people with records of 3 wins 0 losses being ranked higher than people with 250 wins, 50 losses. I suggest a minimum of 20 games before ranking kicks in.

I agree with all of your points (except maybe the major nerf for flag locks: it's such a great strategic element of DG, it'd be a shame to change it too much - perhaps if there was a way to break the lock, as some have suggested). I also have found it interesting to see the variety of favor items in use by various players. In the one replay I uploaded, NOT ONE of the 6 demigods chose BotF. Two chose Heaven's Wrath (one DG on each side), one chose the Teleportation Am
5. Uproot is given a Universal Gadget-like dual functionality. QoT still "sends her vines beneath the earth" to destroy the foundations of enemy structures, but she may now use her vines to reinforce friendly structures as well (it becomes the first building healing skill).
Agreed, fantastic idea.

Just posted a replay, mostly to try out the system. Seemed to work great. The actual game I posted probably isn't a "pro-level" game (whatever the hell that means), but it was competitive, close, and well-played by both sides. I guess I'd say the players involved were all intermediate level (although they can comment on whether they think that's accurate). I hope people download and give it a look, possibly offer feedback on my less-than-stellar UB play
Watched it after, saw the item choices of the AI dgs. Half of them had plate visor. Amongst other DG fashion crimes.
Hilarious. Didn't even consider using replay to assess AI decision-making (item and skill builds) but this could be funny/depressing.
1)Make it so that when an AI takes over for an ejected player make it so if it dies in battle the other team doesn't get cash.
As I recall, something like this is planned for an eventual update. I believe the idea was that the host could make additional AI settings. Here is a quote from one of Frogboy's (July) status reports: New AI options (on death) 1. Gold/ XP: High (= to what it is today) <
We are still debating whether the public should be able to see all notes or only that user. If we let the public do it, then we will end up having to moderate them for abuse. We’d like to hear from you.
I don't think this info needs to be public. While it might be nice to see, I suspect the system will cause more problems than it's worth. As long as I can tag people with my own personal notes, and can see them in the in-game lobby, I'll be pretty happy
Currently, everyone buys Vlemish. This makes its aura worthless, since identical auras do not stack. It is ineffective if everyone buys Vlemish or if everyone buys Thurgist's Cap. However, under my changes, if one person buys Vlemish and another person buys Theurgist's Cap, you've significantly increased your MPS due to the aura boost. This system rewards teamwork. Also, the auras would make cheap items like Plate Visor worth it well into midgame. If everyone buys a different helm, the

What if Artifacts disappeared from the Artifact shop as players (from either team) bought them? So there could only be one Mageslayer per game, etc. Minimally, this would encourage use of other artifacts - all of which are good, it's just that people seem to always head for the same ones once they save up that much cash. It also has a nice flavor element (one-of-a-kind items).

Well, there are far better and more experienced players out there than me, but I'll put in my 2 cents. First, this thread has a lot of great ideas/suggestions for what items are under- and over-powered: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/354365 I certainly agree with a lot of what's on that list. Best items (in no particular order): 1. Banded Armor 2.

73 Replies 43,103 Views

My suggestion for Rook (which may have been mentioned already): Increase initial armor from 240 -> 500 . IMO, he should have the highest initial armor rating of all the DG's. Oak's is 400 and UB has 475. Along with his high initial HP (nearly 2000), this would help his survivability on the early levels a little - and enhance his tower-destruction abilities, which are thematically important. Also: I like the idea of <s
