You know, that makes a lot of sense

What are the best online strategy guides available online for this game? Unfortunately, the publisher's name, Strategy First, comes up too much in the search results. Thanks.
You meet a colony of slave women and there masters. You can choose to set them free and kill their masters (good) or buy a few of the slaves (increase happiness of your workers and officers but makes some citizens pissed off because you are an unethical pig) =)
too bad. I just thought it might a very cool selection from both a role-playing and strategical point of view.
First I saw it on gamespot but didn't pay too much attention to it since I was looking for to moo3 more (this was a month or more ago). After the release of moo3, I was reading the apolyton moo3 forums (seeing as many people were disjusted with the game). I contributed my rants and saw what other people were talking about :P They also had a galciv forum there and that's when I really looked into it.
anway.. it would be pretty nice if they could include it in the game at some point =)
There are also several cultural differences to countries that have implemented communism on earth. For instance, family isn't so important in these societies but I would believe that should always be a core element of any society and it would be a bitter mistakes to ignore it. Communistic countries also don't value material things as greatly (or at least cannot aquire them like a capitalistic country can - we can buy what we want). There is a parallel in this regard to the federation
It's the same but it's different. Communism is an example of economics that does not use money, but I would think there are others not invented. The federation, as much as it has some parallels to communism, has many differences too. The difference is that technology is the key to supplying demand. The greater the technology and more expertise required to build it, the less capitalism will become important. Even our own planet (that is, if we don't blow ourselves up) will eventually see lit
unlikely :/ Even then, more and more people are running xp and they don't even know it comes with a firewall already turned on.
wampyre, I disagree. You can review things with an objective mind. For instance, if the game has bugs, a poor user interface, is slower than it should be, has poor graphics and lacks features that current games already have (this the game is somewhat outdated), has poor voice acting and sounds and wide range of other problems, you can mark a game's score down a few points for each of these reasons that I listed without even talking about the fun-factor of the game.
Well, they will add stuff to the game for a year I think so who knows.
How did bert get such a high score for only playing so few games? He beat the designer of the game by a long shot! (well, brad probably did a lot of testing and experimentation). That's a high score for 6 games compare to the others who have played 20+.
business mode = business model. Sorry about that.
In the end, it's the unintelligent, unmotivated game developers that make late, bugged and terribly designed products that end up complaining about pirating the most. I guess if you can't blame it on your poor business mode, crappy game designers and unschooled software engineers, you might as well blame the element that no one can argue against (with the proper facts anyway). Personally, these organizations need to take some responsibility for their own mistakes, find some real lead
Pirating is way overrated. Part of what businesses don't understand (they refuse to stand it anyway) is that they believe everyone who pirates the same could have bought it (and this is very false). Pirating is only bad when the product is bad or when the product is not launched in difference parts of the world on the same day. If the game is released in North America first, that gives a really good reason for anyone in Europe to download it (seeing as they may have to wait 3 months a
These retards even gave away the cd-key.. haha. I guess it's pretty easy to flag that person. They even recommend the downloaders to try and play on metaverse. They are just asking for trouble I think.
it's everywhere now. It took me 10 minutes to find that link just browsing.
too bad. it's a shame
the only reason I ask is because that would narrow down the search :P There aren't many suppliers nowadays.
what group managed to release it this time anyway?
do they encode the serial number into a file on the cd? If the pirated doesn't give away the serial, it won't matter much.
it would be neat if the game said, "a promising cadet named Jean-Luc Picard has graduated with honors and has shown fine leadership skills in training." Then a few years later it says, "Jean-Luc Picard is ready for his own command. You should assign him to a ship immediately". I would also make it so that game could have leaders in all areas of the game (diplomacy, trade, etc.)
I mean, frogboy said they didn't give it out to too many people (it was only a gamma network test). I think it could be fairly easy to see who did it and discourage it. I could understand if it was the 26th, but it's not.
