Ho yeah, btw i found also where to edit the "+(bonus) parsecs" thingie..... but since i must put 10 in the bonus value for this to work, it would not make sense safe if i put "+(bonus)/10 sectors" instead .... wich is quite disturbing too :notsure: At least now .... no excuse for devs to not fix this ;)
Dread skulo
Well actually there s no [b] [/b] surrounding the value, but not knowing that the HTML tags for bold don t work here i just put them and now i can t edit them ;p
Well since i know that a lot of things can be tweaked in the english.str file, i decided to look after what i suspected was the cause of the range +1 ability not working. The original entry for this ability in the table is as follows : // ship range 22 [A22_Option0Text] +1 to Initial Range [A22_Option0Bonus] 1 [A22_Option0Cost] 2 And when u select it, it says it adds +1 parsec to the range in parenthesis ( totally stupid since it should add 1 sect
Then i guess Luck ability +1 % is totally useless then :notsure:
I believe Range +1 does not work since it writes range +1% in stats. And since after increasing range by 1 sector with gravity techs it boosts range stat by 10% each time, i think that they just forgot to add 9% for the range ability :notsure: Btw, it s very confusing ( apparently for devs too since they failed for range ) how they just put every stats using percentage in the stat screen ..... some like speed and range clearly have nothing to do with those values since 10 % = 1 unit in
If u select Universalist and then the luck ability, what is represented in the stats screen ingame ?? Luck +26%, + 2% or something else ??
Yeah even if your taxes doesn t pay for what you re spending, u re producing you full production capacity So now considering that "bonus" production ability ( well kinda not since for social and military it gives absolutly NO free production units ) doesn t increase at all your capacity, it s a total waste to pay for those ability when setting your civ and things that increase it after the game started. The only one ability increasing productivity is research .....and it also g
Doesn t work here too Tested by experimenting with 100 % sliders, looking at planets etc.... Then tested by launching a new game and choosing a Civ with absolutly no bonus to these abilities and then one with Huge bonuses to these ( eg : Pacifists and Ultra ability to Social ), and there was absolutly NO difference with Starting planets of the same class ( restarted multiple times to have an appropriate planet for testing purposes ) And i know that these bonus doesn t give Free
Same here ......doesn t work for me By the way, the range is expressed in parsec when u select this ability, considering the range of a starship means how much sectors they can travel from the nearest star or base, then maybe this is what is causing this ability to not work ..... it should be expressed in sector :notsure:
