I too am getting a CTD when I try and get info on my survey class ship. Stupid space shark came out of an anomaly and killed the USS Hero, so I built two more. but, when I try and hit info on one of them, I get a CTD.

Well, I was going to, but apparently they were depending far too heavily on Trade with me and with others. When we went to war, they lost all their trade income with me, and I shot down all their freighters, and captured a couple of worlds, so any trade routes at those worlds were gone. By the time I got around to asking for peace, they were already -5000 bc in the hole, so I couldn't get much money out of them.
After the 2nd Torian - Terran war, the Torians were apparently left with too many improvements and too many military vessels for their economy to handle. At the End of the war, their treasury was -5200 bc. Several years later, it is now -21,000 bc. Shouldn't their planets start becoming independent or something somewhere along the line?
I have learned (through this forum, and through experiments on my own), that Income from a planet basically tops out at 4 x PQ, regardless of the improvements or economic resources that you are mining. So, my question relates to governments, if most of my planets are already producing 4 x PQ in income, is it worth it to change to the more advanced forms of government?
I like # 2, but if you're going to do things that are "faint (Very Faint)", you will need to put some kind of gamma adjustment controls in there. No matter what settings I put my monitory at, I really can't see the current sector influence map up in the right corner, so more feedback that I cannot see would be frustrating.
Are you kidding? It helps a lot! I never realized that my relations color bar had to be a close first, I just thought it would be less likely they'd agree if our relations weren't good. I knew the information I was after had to be somewhere. Thanks
I've never seen the option to form an alliance with a minor, even though on several occasions I've given them Alliance technology. (Ok, so I didn't give it to them, I sold it. picky, picky) ;) I think you must be able to ally with minors though, because often when I have declared war on a major, not only do it's major allies declare war on me, often several minors do too, and they claim it's because of an alliance. If minors can form alliances, how would I determine who is
Nah, there should be like a 5% chance of your Terror Star not igniting the right solar processes, so the attack just fizzles. Then you could have the Marvin the Martian pop up. LOL
Ok, I got a great little movie when I built my first battleship. But, when I built my first Terror Star, no movie. Ok, I thought, I'll see a movie the first time I use it. So, I anihilate a star system. Still no movie. I like those little in game movies, they add a bit of character and connection into the game.
I'm playing a game in a large universe, with the difficulty not set very hard. Early in the game, the Torians and Altarians formed an alliance and attacked the Dregnin. This suited me fine. But, as it became clear the Dregnin were losing, they attempted many times to end the war. However, they would only make peace with one or the other of the 2 allies, and as a result, the race they made peace with would be back at war with them in a turn or two. Does the AI not really know how to
Thanks very much. They apparently worked very hard on the "interesting choices" part of this game. In my latest game, the Altarians are getting too big for their britches, but a look at my trading screen, and they're providing me with far too much income for me to risk attacking them. What to do, What to do. :-)
Verrry interestink. I'm pretty sure I've hit that cap. I launched a full Combat Transport from Earth, and it's income didn't waver a bit. So, you're saying once a PQ 20 planet is producing between 80 and 90 bc a month, I can forget about adding any more economic improvements to that planet? (Like Stock Exchanges, etc...) :notsure:
More to report. I looked at the game again, and in November, my Economics stat fell from 116% to 48%. So, that tracks (wonder why it didn't happen immediately). However, the only repercussion of my Economics stat falling was to have my tax revenue go down from 620 to 584. so, I'm curious, what exactly does the economics state modify? The Weaponry stat isn't even that obvious. I have battleships (no experience) cruising around with Attacks of 28. Their base is attack is 9. My Weap
Well, I ran this experiment in Sept 2208, then I ran the game out to Jan 2209, and the only thing that happened was in Nov, my tax income fell from 620 to 584. Not as large a difference as I was expecting
I have a starbase / resource mining question. In one sector with no habitable planets, I found an "Economic Resource". I put a starbase there, and put every mining enhancement I had (pursuant to my technological advancement) on it. The result was : Mining Bonus (Economic Abilities +68%) I happily played many turns in this state, then I began to wonder. So, I saved the game, then played a turn. Then, I reloaded the game, disbanded the starbase on the economic resource, and p
I have a question about how the credits are allocated among planets. If I have 4 planets, and I have my social allocation set to 40%, each planet is in effect getting 10% of my total spending, correct? How much is that modified by the social improvements I have at each planet. Do the improvements make each credit I spend more effective? Or do they simply allow me to spend more credits on a particular function at that planet? And, if I set the social queue at one planet to nothing, i
