This is the official thread for the Sins of the 13th Tribe mod.

Please note that it only works for Entrenchment v1.05

This is a total conversion mod, so the TEC, Advent, and Vasari are no longer playable

The Colonials and Cylons are now playable races

Known Bugs:

  • Some ships do not have names or are improperly named
  • Colonials still glow occasionally

If you have any ideas for abilities, or want to report a bug, please post here. I will try to keep you up to date on progress.

v0.96 Changes

  • Entrenchment v1.05 compatability
  • Fixed String not found errors for the Galactica's colonize ability and the Worldstar's extra squadrons ability
  • Temporarily removed the custom static defense structures, so there will not be any more bug reports about the meshes reverting to the unmodded forms
  • The Cloud 9 is now correctly called the Cloud 9
  • New weapon sound effects for the Galactica+Mercury

Please, if you play this, report back here any balancing problems, particullarly in terms of research.

I suspect this update will break mods, so I'm not going to release something that can only be played for two weeks. I think it will be better in the long run to wait for the new update.

i wouldnt care about only having two weeks to play it, but i agree (grudgingly) with your assessment. i cant wait for this new patch!

Darthxeion... kyogre12 and others are putting ALOT of work into this so that we can enjoy a quality mod... kyogre12 is doing it off his own back and doesn't have to put this together for us at all... so lets be grateful hey.

From what I can see on here so far... the updates look fantastic... thanks kyogre12 for putting this together for us.

Oh... and it would be even more awesome if the Colony became a planet type and could be used as the Cylon home (which would definitely add to the realism for those of us who prefer playing as Cylons! after all, what use is there for the cylons to colonise vast numbers of planets with large populations?? we'd rather just blow them up)... and Unikraken... great idea with the little icons for the ships - was annoying me too...

Also, in the patch, will the AI build Jupiter class battlestars? Doesn't seem to do this in the current mod...

That's because the AI is hardcoded, and we don't have access to it. Perhaps in one of the update to the game the developers will remove this problem, but until then Jupiter and Boomer and some new stuff will be unavailable for AI.

I have Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity and can't update my diplomacy package without messing up my entire game will your mod that will be compatible with the latest update for Diplomacy work for my game.

Hey Unikraken, did you manage to fix the problem with the small ship icons? Will they now accurately represent cylon/colonial ships rather than show the Unity ship icons???

Would be awesome if we could add in the theme song from "The Plan" called Apocalypse for the background music - its awesome. I have the MP3 file for the song... so if you would like to add it let me know.

I have, and yes, there are a lot of cool ships there, but sadly, without anyone to model/texture them I can't really do much with those concepts.

Kyogre12... Will you release the updated mod when the diplomacy beta is released, or wait until the stardock team have totally finished the update incorporating user feedback from testing... which could take months!

Looks really cool Koobalt I cant wait to build a fleet of them. Two questions though what role will it serve (carrier, firepower etc)? Also does the fact that you have put weapons on the model mean that you now have rounds being fired from the weapons? Its not a big issue if it doesent but if you have managed to get that to work then you will have just added another layer of brilliance onto an already fantastic mod. I cant wait! Also I think Python sounds better.

While it would be unfortunate to make you wait months (although I think weeks would be more likely:P ) I will wait to release until the final version of the patch is out. I see little point in releasing for a beta when it is concievable that the final version would break the mod again.

Oh hey! That's looking really good! Now it just needs a texture...:P While the final naming choice is up to you, personally, I'm not a fan of Raven or Python. It reminds me of the Pegasus, so I was thinking maybe something like the Gorgon or Poseidon-class Battlestar (both being figures in Greek mythology). Of the two, I like Raven better though.

Well what it will be is kyogre12 call, the cannons are detail, sins don't support animation, so only particle and that's not my field of work.

Well it has 7 turret (14 gun to left/right), 3 turret (6 gun to front), 2 launcher to front (like Pegasus shoot to cylon basestar after he arrive to battle in the episode that he was destroyed), non visible flak (it's already a have model 11k),

and nuclear rocket launcher on top (via texture will be), and standard rocket launcher on both site (via texture will be).
