feh!! Couldn't unscramble the word for the life of me. Had to find a word unscrambler online. I was a little embarrassed after I saw the answer. [e digicons][/e]

So what RTS games have you played? If you haven't played Supcom or starcraft, it sounds like you're basing your assesment off a dozen or so sub-par RTS games.
The part you'll be playing the most is the space flight/combat, which is a pretty unique and cool combo of turn based and real time movement. The game is technically turn based, and you move a certain distance -- based on your engine -- just like any other turn based game. But when you move more than 1 "turn" away, the game strings the turns together, and you get this sweet real time effect. Anyway, in this mode, you end up doing a lot of things you'd do in any other sandbox

Am I weird in that I'd rather read an interview than watch some guy stare into the camera for 5 minutes?
Why don't you base the number of votes on the score? Supcom already has a calculated score feature. Just impletment this into a voting system based on score ratio. Of course, scores will be only available for those on the same team, so there won't be any judging based on opponents score (supcom players know what I'm talking about). Personally though, I think the voting system is too much. I think the previous idea where a set amount or percentage of gold is all

I think the point is that beta 2 was already stated as having these elements.
Beta 1 had many issues..same can be expected from beta2. Unless beta2 includes actual rts gameplay (that makes sense to rts fans) as advertised, not many players will end up buying this at the end. dont set your hopes too high...
[e digicons]:|[/e]
I think they should take the time they need personally. And they should NOT release if the internet multiplayer isn't ready. I thin that's key. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't want to bother with hamachi who REALLY want to try this game out against other people.....Like me for instance.
I think the problem here is not that stardock isn't listening, it's that they're having trouble bending over backwards that far for a relatively small group. Now, I'm not saying they shouldn't try, I'm just saying that "not listening =/= can't be done".
When you think about it, this would be a stupid option anyway. Anyone hosting a game who uses an assassin, is going to set it really low, while any host playing a general is going to set it really high. Basically, this is going to be one of those things that needs to be held constant, then balanced between the generals (assuming the limit isn't equal for all generals).
In the gamespot preview (linked), note that there's only 3 types of minions shared by ALL generals, but there are still "special" units for certain generals, such as Sedna's yetis and (I think) QoT's treants. I don't quite know how I feel about this yet. Having only 3 types is kinda weak, but could still work based on the abilities of each general. Not to mention that the special units for certain generals makes it easier to swallow (assuming you wish to play as one of those

The new gamespy preview gives a breif rundown on generals (specifically the oak). Seems full control is in. :) Quote from the article: As we watched the battle between Oak and the giant moving castle known as the Rook, it became clear that proper control of the minions will be the key to victory as a General. Unlike the computer controlled NPCs that move in a pre-programmed path, the General's minions are user-controlled units that make the game play out more
There's nothing really new with grouping life and death magic into one field. Hell BG2 classified all those types of spells as necromancy. Didn't matter if you were raising skeletons or bringing a party member back to life.
Was it supposed to be new? I think the only reason it's getting mention is because people aren't figuring out that death magic is the evil version of life magic.

Here is thought what if when you capture it you turn the light towers off all of them. And also all the skills end at 15 we need some level 20-25 skills that are game enders like fire storm, meteor shower, or chain lighting storm.
Not all skills end at 15. The later level skills are just left out.
*sigh* The only sad part is that they announced a game that's not coming out for at least a year and 3 months. There's the beta early next year(which I'll probably buy/sign up for) but still....
Heh, I actually really like those graphics. It reminds me of Valkyria Chronicles coming out on the PS3 this month. I'd say these are on par with GC2 (if not better), it's just a different art style. EDIT: I'd like to see how they are in motion though. Could change my view. [e digicons]>_>[/e]
I see everyone jumping on the "5 activation" bandwagon. What, each one of you wants to install, and play this game ONLINE on 5+ computers..? Unless you do, for whatever weird reason, I don't see why anyone cares. Played several skirmishes last night, and it's not bad, but wish they kept the squad thing from C&C3. I'm sick of "1 infantry at a time" type RTS games. :/
For me it's just principle.&
Only looking forward to Sacred 2 on that list. I do wanna get Valkyria Chronicles for my PS3 though. That looks really good. On the PC side, the year looks pretty much over for me (not a big FPS fan and I'm tired of the cookie cutter RTS games (RA3)).
I was in the beta too. I BARELY played it. Just like C&C3 in my opinion. The units are way over-priced and are way too weak. I hate the whole mentality that is turning RTS games in to action games. I'd much more appreciate supcom style RTS games. [e digicons]-_-[/e]
You don't want generals to feel safe, because it breaks the game. I disagree the general's power comes from the swarm attack and the the swarm being able to capture items. The general should not be played as a melee combat. They are the field Commander and should only buff the creeps or Defend the base. Else all you have is an assassin with creeps. We need to focus on the General as a field commander. After a l

Annoying little bastards, leaving an irritating bump in an otherwise pristine book
But that little tag will never affect our ability to read the book, nor will it affect your ability to read other books. DRM potentially makes the purchased software and/or other programs on your system unusable.
How do you even make a story for a MMO? Background and lore I can understand, but how do you make a story with 500,000 main characters?
