This is actually a pretty serious exploit, surprised it hasn't been as big until now. This is more game-breaking than the idol exploit, imo.

I'm ok with the online favor points wipe. But single-player favor points are screwed up. Every game I have to rebuy my items. Please fix this VERY soon, kthx.
Do you mean, single-player favor?
I believe the skill of the AI is an indirect function of the number of updates.
Merely because you view demigod as recreational doesn't make me a loser for taking it seriously. But actually it does.
Personal insults do not make arguments any better or worse. Can we please stay away from personal insults? Everyone has their passions, whether it be computer games or soccer. They're both games. Anyways, I think favor needs to be changed, and changed soon. Items should not
Comebacks are rare, but still possible, but near impossible if a teammate ragequits. I've had a good share of them, but all of them on Cataract, where the enemy is too busy owning and being cocky that they don't notice that their portals are perma-locked. They're quite satisfying games. While in theory comebacks are possible in other maps, I haven't had any.
This thread is a slaughter of the English language. I think I'm missing a whole part of the game, "celebrity flag logging". All jokes aside, the best flag to lock is the one in dispute and locking it before you have to go back to crystal, denying your enemy the chance to lock it.
A big factor you haven't mentioned is that both Erebus and Oak have a snare, this improves their minions a great deal, as DGs will have trouble running away. Part of the problem of Sedna and QoT is that they cannot snare and so a DG can easily get away, especially as their minions are slower.
QoT has Spike Wave, which snares. I think Zechno's point on QoT is valid. If I go shamblers, then I pretty much HAVE to get mulch
so explain to me what is the point? why reset in the first place? or even deeper why tie those items to favor at all? why not release those items and tie favor to some cool sunglasses for reg? (fill in something w/e) edit: just talking about the favor-items i can see why stats get reset
I was thinking the same thing as I read through this thread. If favor wasn't reset here and ther
I have no problems with resetting of favor. With stats all being reset, those with more favor will have a leg up as the 2nd Epoch begins. I support conistent wipes of favor with every epoch. Otherwise, the end result will be a few months down the road everyone will have maxed out all the favor items, and more favor would be useless. This way is much more exciting, having to earn more favor and stuff. This isn't an MMO. Yep, I like having 0 favor again. [e digicons
Actually, continual whining is likely indicative of some problem associated with the whining. Not always, but when a LOT of people whine, then there's probably some issue. Anyways, I doubt that they changed things BECAUSE there was whining, but that they indeed felt it was detrimental to their game. Now, whether they were correct can be debated, but I don't think it'd be correct to say they just do whatever people want them to do. Balance is always in issue in any multi-player
Quoting InfiniteVengeance, reply 16 there have to be trade offs. lowering their xp value lower than grunts is way too much, maybe a lowering was in hand though Yes, but the only trade off should be the GOLD used to buy them. There should not be secondary negative effects that ONLY the creep upgrades carry. if the only tradeoff is gold, theere xp still shouldnt be lowered as low as it is. xp should not
Does HoL get interrupted on damage?
Well-written. [e digicons]k1[/e]
Well, whatever, I haven't bought HoL for a long time already. I agree, the items in this game need a serious balance lookover.
IMO This can be considered a major patch, as there's quite a bit of stuff fixed that people have been wanting. There will always be things NOT fixed, it seems a little silly to devote our time to looking at the negative side so much. I mean, 1.1 is obviously a step in the right direction.
Haha yeah I remember you, you play a good Sedna. That is what I mean. It was the most satisfying game I've played, even if it was at -1 sim, haha. I don't even consider myself a good player, but he just talked trash but couldn't back it up. I always feel we should respect our enemies unless they don't end up deserving it.
Don't assign skillpoints while casting. There, no problems!
I don't agree with adding "Role-playing" to any game genre, simply because you play a role in every game on the market. You could call FPS games role playing shooters, but people don't because "role playing" is associated with the RPG genre. "Third person" to me implies a third person chasecam, such as in Max Payne, so I don't agree with that either. I'm happy to go with MOBA since it disassociates itself from the genres from which is is derived: RTS
Yes I did and I replied with an anecdotal example, where one team was a locking and always fighting on the middle flag in Cataract. I was making the point that they spent so long fannying around with it, that they were not wailing on creeps in a lane, the creeps were dieing mostly to the towers. Therefore it was a waste of their time and gold. Bonus points for using fanny as a noun.
[e digicons]:thu
game, and one of them writes back that they'd pick up my mom, lol! We proceeded to win the game, and the other team all quit as they were losing, except the one guy with -1 sim speed (kudos to him for staying though). I had some good teammates. Take a look at your game list and your memory shall return. http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/player/50029
Haha, thanks,
It's pretty difficult to interrupt a boulder roll...
We're going off-topic here, but I for one agree with the editor against the Wikipedia entry. Wikipedia is meant to be used to describe something established, not to be used in ORDER to establish a term. I'm afraid MOBA is not a popular enough term yet. And, like Dead Ghost said, it's not really quite right, as MOBA can describe something like Quake or Unreal Tournament or even TF2. Even amongst those of us reading here, it's iffy. Third-person Strategy or Role-Playing Strategy fit the
