My Impulse account is accessible both via my email address and the alias 'Legerdemain'. If I'm logged into Impulse with my email address, I can't log in to Demigod with 'Legerdemain'.
Why does Elemental need a cool looking world?
Do you need a reason beyond 'to look cool'? So long as there's gameplay behind it, I don't. :P
Congratulations to Frogboy and Tyo for taking an idea, turning it into a rough initial beta, and polishing it to a gem-like sheen in time for release. It's been fun with the beta testing. Here's to years of fun with the real thing. :D
Only comments here, no great finds. :P I actually followed ORB from fairly early on in its development, and I wish it had stayed more true to what its original goals were--solar system-sized maps, about half an hour for a fast ship to cross without using the jump dealio, resource asteroids that orbited things (so you didn't really have defined territory), and so on. Of course, it ended up being only a little better than a Homeworld clone. And I'll second (third? n-ordinal?) th
I figure I'll wait for a month or two of patches before buying it. Total War games are kinda like Microsoft products, see.
Beta keys are obtained by preordering. I don't know if there are any available at the moment--wait for a Stardock person to confirm or deny. :P

Usage Note: Momentarily is widely used in speech to mean "in a moment," as in The manager is on another line, but she'll be with you momentarily. This usage rarely leads to ambiguity since the intended sense can usually be determined on the basis of the tense of the verb and the conte

IIRC they mentioned that there's an issue in the creep AI in this build--after attacking demigods, creeps get stuck sometime. Is it that, or is it something more insidious?
Part All of the reason why she's so good at lane pushing and siege is her healing and support abilities. It's a tough thing to balance well. The yeti swarm is a bit much, though. Maybe from 8 to 6 at the top level?
Haven't had the time to try her online, so this is colored by inept AI, but: Yeti are incredibly survivable--I knocked down towers at 2 or 3 minutes in by yeti charge without taking any significant damage myself. Health regen aura makes pushing lanes really easy. With a little mana regen gear, a 1500 heal every 10 seconds is basically 150hp/sec, on top of the 30 from the health regen aura. 180dps is a decent amount to be mitigating. Throw in the fact that Sedna ends up with a decent a
I think First Smite has always been the first kill by a demigod, as opposed to the first death by one.
Not in the feedback forum because it's not really feedback. Sedna is the demigod I've been waiting for since beta 1. She's fantastic.
Both of these are already getting fixed, probably in the next build we get.
Someone sell me on Starshatter. I hear that there are still some serious problems--less-than-intelligent ally AI, difficult capital ship combat... I'd like to like it, I think.
I played on a friend's computer. Didn't think it was worth $20. Sorry. >.>
A few points:
- Maps are too open. Need more narrow areas for experienced players to take advantage of.
This can be done with other maps in the game. I think that it's good to have different styles, from narrow and closed-in (none, really), to absolutely wide-open (a la Prison).
- Add secret flags that are hidden in the fog away from creep paths.
No. After the first game on a given map, you end up knowing where the 'secret' f
As I believe I said in the item upgrades thread, I'm all for it. See, item upgrades are actual depth. The interface shows you what you can do and when it will happen--no foreknowledge required (although if you don't know what you're doing, chances are you'll screw it up). Item recipes are artificial depth--they accomplish the same thing as item upgrades, but you have to know what plus what equals what. Memorization does not add real depth. Choices between clear benefits and not-benefi
To the OP: seriously? I run at 1440x900 with fidelity (for fog of war quality) and shadows set to medium, and texture detail set to high. My system is basically exactly the same as yours, and I manage about 25-30fps through the whole game.
Pretty sure it was a bugfix. 0.61 showed all games in the lobby, including games in progress. 0.62 only shows games that haven't started yet.
Oak is fairly well done, and an awesome defensive character. It seems to me like the Vampire Lord is a little below average in power, though.
1. Thread necromancy FTL. 2. q/e rotate the camera.
I totally did not notice that.
