I think that's the idea, isn't it? Which deserves a giant WOOT.

Gah. This computer can't handle the video. Great find, though!
There will always be those rare few people out there who can take an underpowered thing and play it so it seems to be on par. When I'm playing them, at least, there seems to me to be a clear power difference between Regulus and the other ones.
I don't remember which preview it was, but one of the ones I read said that Demigod was probably going to release with 8 demigods, with one more available for download soon after release. I'll hunt for a link if people want.
Gah! Stardock, you really need to stop announcing games that look awesome. Actually, scratch that. The more things you guys put out, the more I can stop buying non-Stardock-published games.
In 1A, Regulus really brought nothing to the table that the other demigods don't. When the +200dmg gloves and the AoE wossits got removed, he lost the ability to be big autoattacker. Torchbearer has plenty in the way of ranged control, as does Rook (with Boulder Roll). TB brings some pretty good AoE to the table too. UCB can be a monster autoattacker, and with recharge items can be doing ridiculous damage pretty much all the time. The only thing Regulus really has is a ranged
Nope not yet because all that code can change easily
Mmhmm. Y'know, the Vampire Lord was PLAYABLE at PAX this year, and he's a general. I'm pretty sure they're still in. I mean, I guess you could be asking me to look into the future, but that's a little unrealistic.
Trigeminal, the paths I found everything in are in the link below--or at least it was in beta 1. I'm not sure if they changed the 1A stuff.
Prove it I doubt you can
Okay. From here : From AbilityDefinitions.lua: Generals look to have limited control over minions: there are abilities for rally to general and attack area. Have you learned your lesson about making baseless insults? I doubt yo
1. Generals are still in. 2. Generals directly control only their own units, which (from the sounds of the achievement files) will be fairly numerous.
You're paying full price for a game you know nothing about (how can you know about a game that won't exist for many months? beta != the game) and you can't cancle it if it turns out bad like HGL.
Implying that you can for other preorders is a weak argument. Sure, you have other people playing it and offering feedback--but I don't trust other people. If you've preordered a bad game that doesn't charge until it ships, by the tim
It's. Not. A. Freaking. Demo. Seriously. I'm starting to get angry. I'm not a Stardock fanboy, but there's a simple solution--if you want to try the game, wait for the demo. The only reason to preorder a Stardock game is to ensure that the boxed copy you ordered with your download will arrive earlier. Since I can't really see that being an issue, unless you're the pickiest person alive, just buy the game at release, or after the demo. Jinx, it sucks that you didn't know what y
I think he's talking about the normal pre-order situation, where there's no charge until the game is released. Some people may still want the convenience of a pre-order without wanting to be charged immediately for a beta they're not participating in.
I'll ask again what the 'convenience' of preordering is when you're ordering via a download distribution platform. The only thing that could possibly happen at rel
I really fail to see what the issue is here. If you don't want to roll the dice, don't preorder--it's not like Stardock is going to run out of copies for Impulse distribution after release. On the other hand, if you've already rolled the dice and you're not happy with how they've rolled, it strikes me as that it's you that doesn't have a leg to stand on. You paid for a Demigod product key, and you've already received that and made use of it.
Except for the Second Amendment deal, you'd make a pretty good Libertarian, I expect. Maybe the fuel taxes, too.
yea but then they just gonna keep asking for help on stuff cause they havnt learned how to find stuff thereself
Is there a way to dock you karma?
I don’t actually have an arch-nemesis, but I’m working on it.
You do now. One minor nitpick--if you're going to put games in Program Files, you can't put savegames there too. Program Files is for static data--things that you'll only change when you patch or install--for privilege escalation reasons. Savegames have to go in user data folders under the current model. I say just use /Games, but that's just me.
You know, I honestly see no downsides to this one, and I'm not usually optimistic about suggestions. All for it!
Demigod-creep collision: no no no no no. Demigod-demigod collision: maybe. I suppose that's something we could ask to have patched in for a week to see if it works or not.
The word assassin doesn't necessarily involve hiding in the first place.
Crossbow range is fine when you consider the range of everything else. You can fight at quite a distance with Regulus compared to the rest. You're right that sniper shot is weak. In fact, the best Regulus build currently seems to be going for all 10 of the upgrades at the bottom and just autoattack-DPSing.
You say that but also suggest things needing balancing changes...?
As you did with your flag locking thread.
Nicely done! I missed that one entirely.
Yah. The only reason to go with an 8500GT is if you're on too tight a budget to actually buy a decent card--you'd have been better off spending the money on a single card that's overall better.
