Were there any Regulus players on the other team? It's a known bug that things will attempt to attack stasis mines.

I think the lua file I grabbed the Vampire Lord skills either a relic of a past build or a hint of a future one--the only skills it had were Vampire Lord skills. The skills for our three demigods are in files in their folder in units/.

Shadowbane remains the best currently-playable MMO (although it's less massive than it once was). It comes with the added benefit of being free, so long as you don't mind seeing ads when you start/close the game. Where else can you get powerleveled to the cap in under a day (if you don't get rolled off the good high-level spawns)? Where else do you spend basically all of your time doing something with a very good chance of ending in some kind of PvP encounter? It's the good li
Given that the Unclean Beast's model, textures, and animations were included in the build we got, I'm thinking that's a good bit of speculation there. :P
There's a box at the top of the forum that says 'Search'. It is your friend.
Both of these have already been reported. Read this before posting new bug threads.
Will you guys be hiring in three years? >.>
That's Stardock people. GPG has a bunch more working on it.
And stop posting duplicate items. >.>
For generals, there are some things in the LUA files that suggest that the state of affairs with the build beta 1 is based off of is thus: you can order your creeps to move somewhere, or you can recall them to you.
Go read the thread innociv linked. It's ten times the idea recipes (which strike me as likely a WC3 engine limitation) ever could even aspire to be.
The idea is that you only control your hero. Without heroes, the battle between the smaller units is in balance. It's your job to tip the balance in your favour. The other type of characters (unplayable in this demo) are called generals, and they'll more directly influence the smaller units.
Not entirely true--generals won't really have much influence on creeps (although from what I've gleaned from the lua files,
From the lua files, re: priest: Heals every five seconds. Will heal demigods first, unless the demigod's health is maximum. Heals demigods for 10%. Only heals creeps with
Maybe. They'd need to move those towers up further forward with them, then. I thought of that. Why not leave some out there to fight over? It would make for an interesting choice if you're given a variety of points that all give you a different bonus. Is the added income worth having a lower war level than your opponent? Gold would make a good strategic objective, because it would really reward good strategy to gain more income.
</p
Recipes are /not/ awesome. Recipes are an artificial way to (further) widen the gulf between new players and experienced players. In any case where memorization has such a direct effect on how well you play the game, something is badly wrong. Go read innociv's thread about item upgrading--that's how it ought to be done, if it's going to be done. As for denying, no. Demigod is much less tactical than DotA. You shouldn't have to worry about dealing the killing blow to your own creeps--t
Now, now. My 8500GT (a stopgap solution, since college makes for tight budgets--I'm aiming to get a 4850 once the price comes down a bit more) runs Demigod just fine on medium fidelity/low shadows/no AA at 1152x864. Playably, anyway, from the beginning of the game through to the end, and that's some achievement with the Supreme Commander engine. :P
Creeps can be stunned by it, I think, but only Demigods can set it off.
Right now? 5-6/10. "Limited replay value holds back what could have been a hit."
Are you playing Torchbearer? When you use his R ability, that's Relive the Immolation, and it switches him to fire mode for (50?) seconds.
Looking over the rest of the lua stuff, I don't see anything else of immediate interest--as far as I can tell, the logic behind the stuff is very similar to Supreme Commander. I guess one thing of note is that Unclean Beast is in the characters folder with all his meshes and animations (although no abilities in the units/heroes folder). Any supreme commander unit modders interested in trying to get him to display in the engine? >.>
## This may end up being a double post. ## I ought to note that I've been in lua/common for the last bunch of posts. There is an ArmorTypes.lua, but everything seems to take 1.0 damage from everything. On the other hand, there's a commented section where other values exist. BuffDefinitions.lua contains rez sickness, which seems to last at most 60 seconds. 90% speed, vastly increased cooldowns. Also there are definitions for all the things that make stuns
From AbilityDefinitions.lua: Generals look to have limited control over minions: there are abilities for rally to general and attack area. Finger of God, from the singleplayer achievements, is a superweapon. Description: Fire a beam of light from your castle onto a spot on the map. Built at your castle. Requires Tier 3 castle.
Regulus: same first four. Regulus the Patriot - Capture 10 flags. Booby Trapper - Place 3,000 mines and wards. Marksman - Kill 10 demigods with snipe in a single game. Boom - Deal 500,000 points of damage with explosive mines. Stunning the Masses - Freeze 5,000 enemies with stasis mines. Ascension - Unleash your angelic fury 100 times. I'll put Rook in this post, too, since I'm getting so much faster. Same first
Oculus: same first four. Oculus' Bench Warmers - Build 200 units in a single game. Evil Hypnotist - Make 1000 minotaurs jump into the void. Eye of the Beholder (ha!) - Gain 40 eyes in a single game. Spectral Engineer - Divert 100,000 points of damage with your prism. ICU - Deal 1,500,000 points of damage with your eyes. Frickin' Laser Beams - Deal 2,000,000 points of damage with your staff. Next: Regulus--finally
