I agree, server/client is far more stable and enjoyable for nearly everyone than p2p. With server/client one guy might lag a lot, but with p2p EVERYONE lags, and it takes FOREVER to get a game started. I'm really disappointed, considering how much better Supreme Commander and Sins of a Solar Empire were.

For a second I thought you wanted demigods to gain xp while dead, which would be completely rediculous. But yeah, that Oak bug (it must be a bug, for surely no professional developer could come up with such a flawed design) is pretty irritating. Solution: get your xp the moment Last Stand triggers. Easy, it should be in the next patch.

It's borderline psychotic that this wasn't in the game at launch.
Quoting Jukebox Hero, reply 6agreed what kinda rts is this where u can't click on mini map regardless of what the box says, I refuse to think of this as an RTS, just because you can tell things what to do doesnt mean its an RTS.
It's a third person unit commanding game in real-time using a mouse. It's an RTS.

Actually I thought you tried to take out their citadel and realised it won't work, because in slaughter games attacking their citadel will actually damage your own character, which is rediculous. If they got rid of that, you could finish them off by attacking the citadel while keeping far enough away to force them to leave the crystal to drive you off.

We know what the OP means. We're telling him he's misinterpreting the character's description. And you're misinterpreting what we're telling him.

He's weak in melee combat because melee characters deal far more damage than him, he has very low defense, and he has NO escape mechanisms. Melee combat does not require both partipants to be using melee weapons. If a knight walks up to an archer and guts him like a fish, THAT IS MELEE COMBAT.

For me, it was obvious throughout the entire period from announcement to release that this game wouldn't have any in-depth singleplayer component. There was no info released about specific plot elements, only an overall theme, there was zero gameplay was shown that wasn't a balanced match (campaigns are never balanced), and Stardock is pretty well-known for producing multi-player only games. Honestly, if you thought there would be a campaign, you simply weren't doing any research.

Actually they already kind of have a method of doing this, using the tower upgrades in your Citadel. However, I agree that the towers should also get stronger based on the strength of the team. HOWEVER, do NOT based it on Demigod level. Instead, base it on the team's War Rank. Teams that are performing poorly fall behind the others in War Rank, so if one team is way ahead, the towers would be weaker than what they would be if the other team had kept up with them.

The reason is simple: competitive gamers are more attracted to "evil" characters. It's why the Horde dominates in WoW despite being greatly outnumbered. Casuals like "nice" or "pretty" characters. It's a difference in skill, I also believe the light side characters are more powerful. Oak dominates practically every match I've been in, Sedna never has to leave the field and can heal others constantly, Reg is an absolute beast at taking out enemy demigods, and when Roo

I just played a game of 2v2 where for the first 5 minutes the other player on my team stood there, clearly afk. It's already pretty lame that my record is based on team games, not my own personal performance, but now my streak is ruined because I got paired with some idiot who left his computer while searching for a Pantheon game. It's simply impossible for any hint of fair competition to survive in an environment where my rank is dictated by what random player I get paired with,
