It's much easier to balance. Balancing out being able to put 20, 25, 30, or whatever points all into one skill would probably mean having to take away a lot of other nice things. And it'd probably mean at level 30, for example, the skill would probalby be hardly better than at level 5 if 5 was made to be the max level. If max level is 5, and at level 5 it does what happens to be roughly 1/3rd a demigods health in damage, do you think they're going to make that skill do

Reply to Map Editor? in Demigod
indeed there is such a map in the trailer, but I want both water and lava at the same time...or perhaps a river of deadly cream corn in which units could fall and die in
That would be awesome.. one side lava, the other side river, and where they come together there is steam.
Just wanted to Add that I'm also in the Dota community and that's how I heard about Demigod. I think the initial interviews I read that made references about Dota were spoken well. I was left with the impression that Demigod won't be a retail Dota clone, but it is inspired by the main Dota mechanic of generally controlling one Avatar in an RTS type war and battleing through tons of creeps and enemies as an overpowered being with the goal of destroying your opponents base. It's something y

Titan quests is silly. Why not just level the skill to have it become chain-hitting, or whatever? It takes too much reading in a game designed to last 15-40 minutes per round. Titan Quests is like D2. D2 had 112 skill points availible at level 99 or something, with 30 skills and 20 levels each IIRC. that's 600 to point them in. So you could get 18.6% maxed. It requires way too much reading, way too sharp a learning curve, and that was SEVEN CLASSES. 10 s

I don't know if any of you have played Savage2, but whenever you debuffed/hexed an enemy it would die you'd get gold. If you buffed someone and they killed someone, you'd get gold. I think this would be perfect to have in Demigod, and give good incentive for helping your teamates kill and NOT trying to steal their kills . Also, this should effect NPC creeps too IMO.

Now.. i heard it is a FACT and Scathis said it, but i have no link showing proof that he said it, that there are 15 Demigods. Tyo? :D

79 Replies 116,836 Views

I'm glad i'm wrong at least. :P And i actually had searched gpg forums afterwards and found out beforehand i was. Scathis had just said there is MORE than 4, and at the time there where some skills that had level requirements that could be considered like the "ultimates" but weren't nessisarily "ultimates". Dunno where i got the impression for. Now BBL while i go spew out more wrong information as if they are facts so Tyo will leak out actual correct informati

I don't want ever Demigod to be able to do everything like every class can in WoW depending on how you spec. I hope out of the 10 skills you get without items that you can only max 50%-75% of them so you have to decide between them.

Reply to Angels © in Demigod Ideas

Well you could just look in the media section and you'd see there is both angels with wings that fly and an angel who's wings are cut off.. It's not like really really hidden information. There are screenshots/concepts at many sites and this site.
I don't believe so innociv, I could be wrong though. You might be thinking more along the lines of dota which has 3 basic skills 1 ultimate, and 1 skill every character has.The way I saw it is kinda like a tech tree (ala sins of a solar empire).
This is something that's already been confirmed AFAIK.. 4 skills and 1 ultimate you can't start leveling until a certain level. It was on the GPG forums. Scathis said it. Not only that but read the gamesradi

No it doesn't mean higher max level. It just means a higher number of choices since you couldn't max them all.

61 Replies 29,270 Views

Hasn't it already been decided that there will be 4 normal skills, and 1 "ultimate" skill? I don't see this changing.

79 Replies 116,836 Views

If they ever do make it 8 skills, which i'm sure it wouldn't be that way at release, just maybe added as a content patch either, I would hope the max level doesn't change so you still can only choose from 4 or 5 of them to be maxed.
Why should he doing an upgrade?I´m using the 7600GT, too. And I´m able to play Crysis in ~mid-high settings on 1024x860 @>30FPS.Every other game runs just fine (except those terrible programmed ones).
Because faster computers are more fun. ;o You can get a 4850 for only $170.

It is supposed to run a bit better than SupCom does at least on lower end comps. I'd recommend an upgrade though.. you can build a comp that'll run crysis at 30fps on 1600x1200 high settings for like $500-$600.(excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse. You should already have those.)

4armed demigod confirmed?! She would do some serious bitch-slapping! "What did the 8 fingers say to the face?"

You don't gain anything from killing your own in Dota, I don't' think. It just denys the enemy getting gold from the kill. And it's where it only makes since to take the last hit or whatever, killing them when they're at full hp takes too much time, it's a waste.

Diablo number of skills would be too many.. More than 6-7 would be too many. I think there is going to be 5. If 1-3 more where added later on in a content patch that'd be neat, though.
