the desync screen is annoying for a reason; it's trying to get you to abandon the game ! while resyncing may be technically possible; it's a silly thing to do, because to resync, the game-state must be copied from one computer to every other (or in the lucky case of only one person desyncing, just to them). that sounds fine... until you realise that the

what happens in SupCom when you play an eight player match? (presuming you have SupCom, that is) i think your bandwidth might not be enough for actual gameplay; sure you can connect to everyone and send a few packets to people, but what happens when you send a few hundred packets? a small piece of trivia that i recently learnt; computer networks are just like road network, where as little as a 5% increase in traffic (cars or packets)

it's a complicated process (requires a bit of knowledge of how a piece of software talks to a piece of hardware), but you can test it by putting a massive CPU with a tiny graphics card, taking down some data, swapping the tiny card for a dirty-great one and taking some more data. generally speaking, the change in sim speed from your graphics card will be only minor.

0xC0000005 means that Demigod is trying to read part of the RAM it's been forbidden to; typically a spot in the RAM that's been given to another program. just Google that error code and you'll get pages of proper explainations and solutions to it.

lets think about this logically for one moment; Demigod has zero DRM save for a key-check when playing online and patching. now, if non-checking patches were available, pirates would be able to have updated copies of Demigod for free. couple that with powerful VPN siutes like Hamachi and GameRanger then no one would ever play online at all; the entire community would exist in VPN, pirates and all. there'd be no way to check who was a pirate, and pirates would hap

for that price range, on of the following; HD4770, HD4830, HD4850. higher numbers are better performance, search around and look for the best prices. shopbot.com is a good place to look if you're not tied down to any particular website (*cough* newegg *cough* crap).

as Sheezwack has said; AMD's dual core optimiser would be a very good thing to install if you haven't yet updated to SP2 (and shame on you if you haven't). that said, it's useless for Vista as Vista already supports proper multi-core CPUs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the ATI Radeon X1270 an intigrated chip, not a card?
the difference is not important (all cards have a chip on them after all). that chip, however, is below the minimum requirements for Demigod. Formic, you've got the same family as what's given in the requirements, so it will technically run Demigod; just not very well at all.

no. you didn't read the minimum requirements. let me quote the requirements for you;
Windows XP SP3 / Vista SP1 2.4 GHz Processor 512 MB Available System Memory 8 GB Available Hard Drive Space 128 MB 3D Video Card ( ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better ) Sound Card Broadband Internet Connection

yeah, your CPU is too weak. single-core CPU's simply aren't enough for Demigod. you may be able to squeeze some extra performance out of the game by appending /noSound to your shortcut, but that will only get you so far.

alright, a quick trip to Google yields this . so Faultrep.dll should be found in %systemroot%\system32\, if it's not there then your install of Windows is buggered.

unfortunately it's not GPG's fault for this bug; it's actually Logitech's. what those drivers do is inject extra code into every running program (in a similar manner to how malware does it. no joke). it's this code that stuffs SupCom and Demigod.
There is no end around this?
only getting an upgrade will help, sorry. that said; $700USD should net you a very respectable gaming computer on a tight budget. something along the lines of; CPU: Phenom II X3 730, GPU: HD4830, Mobo: anything with a 790GX chipset, RAM: the cheapest 4GB of DDR2-1066 RAM you can find.

any single-core CPU will choke on this game; upgrade to a dual-core and then you'll be much better off. in simpler terms; no.
