While I agree with you in principle, I do disagree on a few specifics.
Any character capable of self-healing might be better off with mana regen items.
I cautiously agree. Normally a Vlemish Faceguard and Scale Helm in conjunction is enough to meet a character's mana needs. If it isn't, however, I find the heart of life is a better investment than upgrading to those of those extremely expensive helms. It's in the same price range, and off
I'm convinced the re-selling is a bug. When you summon minions from the idol it should despawn others of the same type.
This
If you sell an Idol, any minions summoned from it should be un-summoned .
Or this Really, I could care less. Just so long as you can't have duplicates of the same minion type. It's clearly a bug abuse.
I tend to agree that poison blood shouldn't affect your allies. I always feel kinda silly having to warn my allies after I pick poison blood. If I don't say it, they could grab my potion by accident, if I do say it they think I'm someone who dies a lot -_-
Backdooring is certainly not cheating. For something to be considered cheating, a player must find a way to subvert the normal behavior of the game to their favour. It is very clear that there is no features or code to prevent backdooring, so doing so is certainly not cheating. Now, there may be borderline bug abuses, like the Erebus teleport case, but in the case of backdooring it's very clear that the developers just consider it a part of the game. A
I've never once purchaed an artifact as either Sedna or QoT. Once I have my basic mid-range items, I usually pour everything I have into citadel upgrades, and the game ends before I have to consider artifacts. If I had to pick one, I'd have to agree with Bulwark. Yes, there are some great artifacts for damage dealing out there, like Ashkandor and Mageslayer, but Sedna just isn't a damage dealing hero. You'll get better bang for your buck out of citadel upgrades
I usually get a Nimoth armour for my defense. A great balance of health and armour boosts for a very reasonable price. Remember, damage reduction from armour makes your hit points go further. This is especially important for characters like Erebus that have life steal. Beyond that, your equipment of choice should vary based on your character and the enemy demigods you're facing. Racking up a lot of armour against Erebus is a very good idea, since this largely n
Heart is obviously at its worst if you're trying to win a quick scuffle over a flag, and it'll get locked if you lose. However, there are lots of other situations where heart is definitely a life-saver. One of the most important is to quickly recharge after a tough fight. I'll often chase off one demigod, and may only have a few seconds before backup arrives. Being able to go from no mana and half health to full mana and health before that happens is well worth the cos
Favour items are not automatically in the game. Three spit is very deadly, so you need to play very defensively when confronted with it. On the flip side, as mentoined, if they're all on one lane you control the other lanes by default. Mind you, that's not a big help on Crucible.
If they were appeasing the forum crawlers, then spit and towers would have taken a big hit as well. They haven't been touched. Erebus's bite is clearly an issue that's been isolated as special and different. Before the information confirming the balance change was released, Erebus' bite was discussed roughly equally with these other issues.
Wouldn't 4 Regulus' and an Oak be a better team then 5 Regulus'? They need to be able to see the guy, after all. And that way, all the Regulus players can stay out of sight of the rest of the enemies. Just chilling at the base.
You'd still need to cap flags and level up, so those Regulii would need to move out on to the lanes. The portals are very vulnerable on most 5v5 maps, so you could conceivably lose to an early game push if you just camped in base, even if y
There are a lot of under-used skills, particularly for the generals, that could use some love. The QoT is a case in point. She has her brambles and spikes, and everything else is mediocre at best. If her less useful skills got buffed, I think it would benefit her and the entire game. As I said, I think Erebus needs some buff to his secondary skills, particularly his coven upgrades and perhaps his mist form. Give him more ways to play than just swarm/bite.
It can be incredibly hard to come back from a level deficit.
I find that typically you'll die because the enemy gets uber equipment before you die due to an experience advantage. Experience advantages are more likely to occur because of a long-term map control scenario. While this may be a symptom of feeding allies, it's not always the case. Certainly it's all the harder to recover from, though.
I'm sure bite will still be his strongest skill despite the nerf. If Erebus is going to get a buff, I'd rather it go to his minions, or perhaps mist form, and not to a skill that is already his star asset.
Well, I do think bite needed its nerf, as does Regulus' mines and Rook's towers. That said, some buffs would have been nice to go along with this. Those minions (in fact, everyone's minions, but Erebus has A LOT of skill ranks he can put in them) could use some help, because they're a bit shabby right now.
Taking Spit to a useful rank for destroying towers inevitably means completely dropping either the ooze, health drain/stun or frenzy, all of which are pointless without high or full ranks.
Not true; foul grasp is perfectly acceptable if left at level 1. Its stun duration does not increase, only its damage and life steal. If you're working with other DG's, this may not even be a significant amount. Ooze, while hardly optimal, is still useful for attack
The problem isn't with successful kill swaps, but unsuccessful ones. They're extremely risky to pull off, and could result in you dying and the enemy not. Most people don't want to take this risk, or their teammates to take that risk either.
Spit is too good against buildings, and that's really all I'd say that's too good about it. It's a strong ability and great at killing DG's, but if the beast doesn't have that, what does he have? Plus if the game goes late and everyone has artifacts, spit becomes a bunch of wasted skill points that you never really use.
This largely explains the end-game scenario where Demigods can't kill each other, so they ignore each other instead and just rush to kill the enemy citadel. Life steal definitely needs to be tweaked so this doesn't happen.
Archers are fine because they don't require you to pay money to unlock them. Angels, I will agree, are pretty lackluster. You get them because they're a prerequisite for catapults. They don't even spawn in significant numbers.
You just have to anticipate the need to give another order immediately afterwards and do so right after activation. It's annoying, I hope it will be fixed, but that's how it works. To be honest, I don't sympathize with the HoL. The thing is royally overpowered right now to begin with.
THAT would be broken, you'd shoot up like 5 levels if it was mid game....
Perhaps, but you ever tried winning a 1v2 against good people? They'll flag lock EVERYTHING, and even if you are strong enough to fight them they'll just run away and cover each other with stuns.
True; just put up an invisible "anti-Erebus" barrier on maps that have this issue and problem solved. That's all I'd ask for.
Rook rarely gets kills against smart players. That's just the reality of the character. You don't play Rook if you want kills, you play him because you want to push, and any kills you get are from people trying to stop you. The only case I have a problem with this setup is when your allies just don't buy citadel upgrades. I've found in a lot of games I'm the only one putting down cash for the darned things, and if I'm not the one getting the kills that's very infuria
We should have the following game options available to us: Remove on Quit (default) When someone quits the game, their demigod is removed from the game. All their money and the value of their equipment is distributed evenly among their remaining teammates, as is their accrued experience points. The dropped ally's income is also distributed to remaining allies in a fair manner. AI-takeover on Quit This is w
I'd agree; Prison is probably the best map in the game, Crucible the worst. Erebus has a distinct advantage on many maps, particularly Brothers, Crucible, and Exile. I've also heard of him having an edge on Mandala and Leviathan, but I don't play those maps very often personally. Something needs to be done to address this.
