Actually i noticed that sometimes, always the first game is okay to start (except for them usually ending up 2v1s since i usually get "player has disconnected right at the start anyway). Subsequent games after you have "cancelled" a failed join though is where it usually fails with the "waiting for game info" message. for like 5 times in a row. until i restart the game and try again.

I think you got it wrong. Not the part about being overwhelmed. that part you got right[e digicons]:D[/e] But you are wrong in how we could help/what kind of help stardock needs. Its not help finding the bugs in GAMEPLAY/CONNECTIVITY actual scenarious they need help with, because thats glaringly obvious, all they need to do is try to start a few pantheon games themselves and look at the guys not connecting, or play some actu
Well the game worked fine before this patch, now constant crashes, connection problems and a new Sedna pounce bug.
Thats strange, i had a few crashes before this patch, the occasional alt-tab crash etc. Not unbearable though. After the patch, i havent gotten a single crash yet. Might just be i didnt play enough after the patch release yet, and i´ve been lucky this far of course. Or, it could be YOU didn´t play enough before this patch to notic
Exactly. Word! I get this about 80% of all pantheon/skirmish i try to start. There always just ONE that wont connect to anyone.
There isn't some magical wand that can be waved here. Perhaps, for example, it could be that some ISP or router has a limit on the # of connections it accepts. Maybe there is some unknown issue between you and them (ever have people you can't share files with with IM for instance?). Maybe it's some bug in Demigod. Maybe it's some bug in the NAT. At this stage, people who still have connection problems need to face the possibility that there is something unusual
First, Thanks for the update Frogboy! I take it the patch wont come out today then? All these fixes you mention seem great and is really what we need right now. Also, if its hinging on the 25% of skirmish games that wont start after the patch, and you want this fixed before releasing the patch... well, even if its 25% of games that wont start post-patch, its still better then the 80% of skirmish and pantheon games that wont launch right now in the current patch...
Archon, you're wrong. 1 spirit > 1 Yeti. Spirits got no pathfinding issues, spirits cost no mana, and spirits give huge weapon damage buff, AND, because they fly, you can't even use AoE on them. It's fucking impossible to kill a bunch of Spirits. I think that Spirits need a slight nerf, and they're a good example of how strong minions should be. In order for Yetis to be competitive, each one would have to be about as strong as a Giant. The truth is that their health isn't
Right now everyone play this GENERAL as an assasin, skipping the summons completely. Except the n00bs that just started and want to try them out, getting owned in the process until they learn the ropes. The ropes = Sednas Yetis Sux. Why? They simply cost too much mana, and dont give any buffs to sedna in any way. Also, they are melee. Which means they die alot, and are expensive to resummon. Worst of all, they cost skill points, heavy skillpoint investments specifically to even be via
lol great stuff frogboy, keep it up!
I swear there is some other bug regarding the way slows are applied. Today as Rook a regulus hit me with a mark and maim (and wyrmskin) along with some other slows while I was fleeing. The wyrmskin and shrapnel mines and mark wore off, so I heart of lifed myself and went back at him. He marked me again and attacked, putting maim on me. After placing a tower it tripped the mark. Suddenly I could not move at ALL.
By "Magic resist" i take it you mean "skill resist" since not all skills are magic based. Only a few are, like TB:S. For example rooks hammerslam for 1700 dmg wouldnt be considered "magic dmg" would it? not by logic anyway. Also if there was magic resists, direct-dmg skills would become even weaker then they are right now, and they are already pretty weak lategame, especially TB:s, since most dgs have so much health and auto-attack dmg lategame that they dwarf most skills dmg:s lategame. So N
As said previously, there is no 33% slow cap from stacking, as should be pretty obvious by now. No matter what has been said previously, right now there is no such cap. However the Favor item that caps at 25% max slow, works.
The problem with AI is not whether they are good or bad, the problem is they give no satisfaction when beaten, like it does beating a human player. single player games do not have the same popularity as multiplayer games have, unless they have massive contents sometimes, like oblivion. The reason multiplayer games are more popular is because it gives more satisfaction beating other humans than beating an AI will EVER do. unless no one else has beaten a certain AI perhaps, and the victory is r
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Sedna's pounce ability is 10 meters. Soooo, not that far. hmm i think u got it wrong i think hers is 7.5 yards
nope its actually 9 yards.

so you are saying that if a DG already has splash dmg skills, he shouldnt have more? By that logic, why do regulus mines have splash dmg? he already have mark of the betrayer and angelic fury FFS! or ANY other dg with several splash dmg skills/attack. Like QoT who has splash dmg on normal attack, plus 2 aoes. ?

Its not like it would matter much against other DG, but this would make it somewhat more viable for creep farming from range, which TB needs since he is so squishy. Also, since its FireBALL and not FireBOLT, it is usually standard for all Fireballs in all games to have splash dmg except here? The single hitting version is usually called FireBOLT. So either give it Splash DMG (in a small radius, maybe as small as angelic fury radius?) OR rename it to FireBOLT. Opinions?
And yes, you get hit by attacks. But let's take TB; you take ~3800 damage from his full combo, and maybe 800 damage (without armor) from his attacks.
TB full combo in fire mode, if all his skills are maxed, which is possible at level 15 earliest, is 3350 dmg, not 3800. Cof= 1500(if enemy stays in circle for the full 10 secs, which is very rare), + Fireball 1050 +Fire Nova 800 dmg. It is not possible to get the 1350 dmg fireball if you want to max the othe
I still think Fireball needs to have splash DMG as well. To be at least semi-viable against creeps. Its not like it would matter against demigods, except in certain very rare cases where they are really closely grouped.
Same problem here, during certain hours. Once after i have clicked "internet", usually less than a minute but sometimes more, then again when i click "logon" at my user id page, then another time when i click pantheon. like 1-2 minutes, until it proceeds. like it waits for a server response on these menus? yeah thats pretty sick. not slick anyhow.
There is a certain stage when any demigod is unbeatable, due to getting ahead in money/exp. Sometimes it is just a dg+certain item combination, sometimes its certain builds being overpowered to certain other demigods/builds, however in the end it is just pure skill. KNOWING what items to use and what skills to use in the right situations is also skill. But youre welcome to vent =)
