Speaking of hotkeys, how about a hotkey that would cause you to cast your beneficial spell on yourself in one stroke? (i.e. Sedna's heal or Oaks shield) Or would that be too easy in the opinion of others?
This may seem good at first thought, but what about if you DONT want to use the skill on yourself? you would need some other hotkey for this in such a case true? so in this scenario, you would have to memorize and remember 2 hotkeys for just one skill, o

The option to quit when you are loosing, getting bored fighting an uninteresting and uphill battle or have to go for whatever other reason, should exist. On this i think everyone agrees. So the problem with "Rage Quitters" is not a problem with people leaving the game, its what happens afterwards. Now, as the game is designed to go on, replacing quitters with AI, so that you have to fight to the end to actually get the win, here is where the problems start. This logic
They probably have their reasons, but anyway i partly agree as i have played many other RTS games where connecting are almost instant, and works everytime (or at least 99% of the time), while here in DG, not only does it take longer, but also it FAILS about 80% of the time to get a game going(from my own experiences). This means there is about only 20% chance of the game starting(skirmish and pantheon). Now, even though it works for about 80% of the people, since in everygame, there is at lea
Ice TB has better range on his AOE than Fire TB, which need to get in close and personal for all his aoes. However, since Fire has 2 AOES vs ICE 1, i still think FIRE TB kills faster and have much more damage potential than ICE TB. Getting GOLD from mob kills are however, negligible. One DG kill yields more gold than 10 creep waves, so... this is really the poor mans way of farming. You get more gold from the static ticker, or the first Citadel gold upgrade than you wil
lol. they keeps us better informed than even BLIZZARD do, which speaks volumes! But i feel we are getting spoiled, because it has been 3 days now since frogmans last update and im already starting to think we get to little info as well. lol. But of course, this is only an illusion because he has been spoiling us since the launch with daily updates until the last 3 days that is.
BMAN FOR PRESIDENT!!!
I saw the game at my local GAME store here in Ireland yesterday. Got one of those cool unfoldable covers, with a rook against a blue background on the front cover. It also had the ATARI logo on its front.. which is too bad, because ATARI doesnt have the best reputation around here... most people think like "oh another crappy Atari game, lol, i think i´ll skip" =(
For the record, bman654 is THE MAN. We were down to deconstructing the wrong code trees for this problem, animation was not an intuitive place to look for this. A testament to bman's intuition for sure. This is such a great example of how easily things can be pinpointed once we can reproduce the problem, it isn't even funny. Hindsight is 20/20, but for those who aren't coders, there are about 14,000 files in our code, and another 8,500 in data and scripts. If something doesn
If this bug isnt fixed in 1.01 of dg, im gonna pull out my hair!
There are other factors that you fail to consider, which balances this out. Alot.
IMHO i think they should implement a similar system to what Warcraft 3 uses, where you can "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" certain maps/playmodes. You could still end up on something you have thumbed down on though, if there are few players online, it would just make it considerably more rare that you are thrown in one of those game. Oh, and "AI allowed?" should also be a thumbs up or down option, specifically for demigod, as there are no AI option
Even though his upload speed migh be pretty bad, i am flabbergasted by this game needing 16k/sec UPLOAD to play online! considering i played starcraft and warcraft 2 on 56k modems back in the day... (which translates to rougly 4kbyte/sec) without problems. 200 APM was standard those days, that is, over 200 commands per minute, or 3-4 clicks every second. The only data that should be sent are the commands ordered by the player?
Actually QoT is one of the STRONGEST Demigods endgame, simply because skill dmg are dwarfed by the auto-attack dmg late game, due to items. Also, as she has the ONLY money-making skill in the game, she will be richer than others, affording better items lategame. This, coupled with the fact that her auto-attack is ranged (one of the 3 only ranged dgs in the game), and the ONLY DG with SPLASH DMG default on auto-attack (in closed form)...
OMFG. Froggy, over here please!
This is an old bug. have seen it a few times myself. not high priority though, considering their other problems right now.
fast dg respawn... LOL... if you mess with the standard settings please dont complain on balance. The stuff is balance for the standard settings only. It like creating a 20k game, with all dgs level 20, regulus vs tb and the tb player complains he die to fast to regulus with ashkandor while he cant even attack while moving in fire mode...
probably would yeah. cant think of everything.
Stick it out guys. In 2-3 months you will have to rebuy otherwise, this game will be really awesome by then.
OMFG freaking awesomeness! Very skilled indeed, Sir Sorian. Is there anyway to make the health numbers stay visible while playing games online with this?
maybe that could be a new ability for him? something liek a regen on the lifespan of the tower? call it something like: "Living Stone" = prevents summoned towers from expiring while Rook is within 500 m. Also passively increases building regeneration and HP.
I like the idea. However regarding the Range aspect, considering a range of 20 is TB fireball, a range of 15 is UB spit, and most ranged characters normal attack, i thin
Fantastic! This map, even without the weather effeccts, would be a GREAT addition to the game! So far all the maps have been sorta "doom and gloom" we really need a foresty map to complete the circle!
What Demigod has - in contrast to every other title made by GPG - is their unique cast. The Demigods give their game identity. Way more than those faceless heroes of the Siege games and the hordes of Supreme Commander. Well, with Supreme Commander it could have been the experimental units, but the only ones that stuck to my mind are the flying saucer, that spider robot and the ultra large mega robot. The regular units were as unnoticable as the reinforcements we squash in De
actually there is a slow cap. From feedback, it had become apparent that slows were negatively impacting gameplay past the point of fun. To fix this issue there is now a slow cap that prevents a Demigods movement by being decreased more than 33%. Thank you all for your input on this issue! quoted by frogboy himself here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345442/page/2
Committing suicide is a valid strategy as UB, to deny the opposition the rewards. He is not the only one that can commit suicide, Erebus can do it as well by drinking his own poisoned blood. Other demigods that can commit suicide i am unsure of however... at least no innate abilities draining hp except UB:s ooze. Maybe there is some item you could use?
This, and Supreme Commander are the two really great Gas Powered Games. Supreme commander would be a much greater hit and have more longevity if they´d only concentrated more on the multiplayer part, what it needes was sort of a "battle.net" and it would still rule. All games without "in-game" lobbys and ladders are kinda doomed, since blizzard already set this standard 10 years ago and its alot more convenient, flashy and efficient than having a standalone matchmaking client. I
