Umm X Demigod is not overpowered because you owned people or people owned you...Regulus is powerful in the right hands just like everyone else is. Sure Snipe seems OP at first but now a days I hardly run into Regulus's who use Snipe. They all go with the Angelic Fury spped debuff builds. If Snipe was location targeted and not Demigod targeted, you'd miss EVER time with that kind of cast time. Mines are really easy to deal with once you figure them out. If you're a General send

I play a real mean tower rook normally. Usually the only single DGs that give me trouble are minion speced Erebrus and Frost Nova TBs. Other than that I have no problem pushing 1 or 2 DGs away from my lane and advance to their portals. My trick is to use the Staff of Renewal on maps where you start off with a 15% cooldown flag. This gives my towers a 6 second recharge time. So long as I have mana, you can bet I'm throwing towers up somewhere to either replace destroyed towers or push forwards

Although more minion resistances might be nice. If they could get a speed boost some how, they'd be much much stronger. But otherwise a good general build is just as strong if not stronger than good assassins

1k would be way to small of a price to pay. Think if you had to pay 10k per tower? Or exponitially grow in costs starting around 1k or 2k. That way, sure if you screw up once or twice its not a big deal and you can buy that tower back. But you won't be able to afford another tower if you're in trouble. I like the idea of adding a 1 time extra tower in a few key locations. Maybe that could be in their instead of replacing towers. And each extra tower you buy either costs more or just s

It works on all maps. Just it works on Levi best. Some maps they just have to use 2 waves to kill the 2 closest towers first. But within 3 minutes thats taken care of and on to the citadel.

The minions aren't what's the problem, its the Horn of Battle. It allows minions to ignore towers and most AoE attacks. Even mines if they don't kill the minions instantly. And at an early level how are you supposed to kill something that has 600-800 hp that regens 200 hp each second for 10 seconds? You'd need 2-3 demigods on each individual minion just to kill them. The point of this buid isn't for the minions to survive for long. They only need to live for around their 10seconds to do some

these numbers seem completely reasonable to me. There are quite a few time zones and quite a few people throughout the world. Not to mention, yes there are a huge number of poeple that unfortunately will only play single player because they are too scared or unable to play online. For some reason I notice more games hosted on Impulse compared to when I'm logged into Demigod and viewing the games through Demigod. Does Demigod filter far off games or games with different languages?

I almost exclusively play with friends and most of the time don't want to be pitted against them. Not that I think that I'll lose to some of them ;) but because I want to play with friends. We almost always put "Good players" or something like that in the title and yet we still get bad players joining or players being shocked and mad when they find out 2 of our 4 are friends or some nonsense like that. If a random team function was implemented, I would likely never play games with tha

I think a healing favor award would be nice. Everyone but TB and Regulus can heal with skills. And they can heal with consumables. I would love to see a "Savior" award that will be counted by the pts of shield and hp restored to other players. Oak's shield can even count. There's this little item call the Universal Gadget which heals any single ally for 2k HP.

And this is a pretty accurate representation of how things are going on.

Structural Transfer does stun the building actually. Maybe the final lvl of Uproot could be like 5 yards of AoE or something like that for full damage? That sure would make it useful in a few more situations.

uh spector are you saying the armor/helms/boots/gloves should be like that or are like that because right now thats how they are and it works out very well?

Myself along with clan would be willing to have another person to play with or join, depending. My name is obviously the same as the forums. Send me a message or add me if you see me. We'll see how things work out.

Well being able to rebuild towers would give people incentive to sink some money into the tower hp and damage upgrades. So those towers might be pretty strong then.

someone just lock and delete this stupid thread. There's no reason for something like this to one of the most supportive publishers and a good developer. @ Somaz, you obiviously do not do very heavy coding now do you? Sure its easy to fix some of the smaller things such as balance because that is just a few numbers that get changed. But v1.1 was a lot about behind the scenes code fix up for better bandwidth allocation and such. And that stuff is not just changing a number here and the

unless towers got expontially expensive. Say at the first one starts at 800gp then it progresses 50%-100% each time. Towers @ 50% 800, 1200, 1800, 2700, 4050, etc Towers @ 100% 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800, etc As you can see it both ways wouldn't allow you to just buy back towers forever. And both ways would be very costly to your team. The second option wouldn't let you get much more than 3 or 4 towers

13 Replies 3,438 Views

Something else some of those more expensive items offer is the ability to stack a specific stat, but with a penalty. The mana hats for example. There's 2 that do almost the exact same thing but one is double the price of the other. If you were a real mana hog for whatever reason you could buy all 3 of these hats and never have mana problems. I've been thinking about trying this out with some of my healing builds so maybe I'd never have to return to base.

Uproot is probably the weakest in general terms of skills, particularly against structures. However, people tend to forget about synergies. Compost built to rank 3 at lvl 1 will do something like 50% more damage with Uproot. At lvl 3 it might do as much as 100% more damage with Uproot. So with (unfortunately) 7 skills alotted to uproot and compost you could do as much as 4k damage over 10 seconds, uninteruptable and unstoppable. The major downside is that after using that many points you

I don't normally have this problem. But what are you doing staying that close to an enemy tower without wanting to attack it?

Reply to Graphics in Demigod

There was a bug with the Geforce 7*** series cards where a bunch of visuals wouldn't show. So for most people you won't notice any change.

Totally. I'm glad they fixed the graphical bug early on instead of in another month or 2. Fire effects are mdofn aognoran!!!! Uhh I meant to say awesome [e digicons][/e]

Demigod was based off of DotA but Demigod and DotA are two completely different games. The function differently and play much differently although they are both on the same basis. DotA also only has 1 map while Demigod currently has 8. DotA is just a mod for Warcraft 3 (a much older game) while Demigod is a brand new stand alone current game. If you like DotA play DotA. If you like Demigod play Demigod. If you like both well play both. And if you have a problem, then go away.

13 Replies 22,413 Views

Fixing all of the demigods' auto-attack problems would be nice. As they all suffer from some extent of not doing damage on some moves. Most of the creep upgrades along with the valor flag does not seem to stack or work properly. Here's the big thing on my mind though. You said that GPG is looking into official mod support where modders submit their mods and GPG selects good ones and applies them as game options. That sounds absolutely awesome, but....if you take a look at GPGN

So I didn't play in the beta but I did play since launch. And I've played all demigods in quite a few different situations, including Erebrus. I found him very strong before the patch and never saw any reason not to get bite no matter what build I go with. Now however it is not a required skill and not an instant "I win button" for experienced players. Yes there were plenty of whiners who had no good reasons for game balance changes. But when such a large number of the community can c

I do this as well. Normally though I'll assign my minions to an ally when I have to run back to the crystal.
