A generaly hwo doesn't get monks at level 1 is an idiot, period. They offer a massive DPS and longevity improvement which outscales any other item.
This seems to be the biggest problem. I'm not sure if priests are that overpowered late game though, since Rook and UB scale very well without priests, and Sedna doesn't scale that well despite having the best priests.

HP stacking is too strong because the HP equipment itself is much more useful per cost than attack equipment. Best solution would be to boost attack stacking through equipment, or nerf HP stacking in the same way.
If Stardock implemented their suggested 50% award gold for an AI kill, this might not be as big of a problem. It would also help if they created some sort of guide and contest to modifying the AI through the game files and developing the strongest AI.
As Celmare said, each Demigod is way too different to compare individual skills and arrive at a conclusion. Any buffs or nerfs that Stardock should make should relate to clear imbalances, such as EB's old 900 damage bite. If you try making skill comparisons such as in this thread, you're going to come up with strange (and wrong) conclusions. Imagine how crappy Pounce would look if Rook had it instead of Sedna, or how OP Hammer Slam would be if Sedna had it.
I agree that this game isn't nearly dead, but your argument is pretty bad. I don't know many RTS games that have a smaller community than demigod. The important point is that with its easy learning curve, you don't really need a large community for Demigod to find competitive games.
Having skill in the game is less important toward your stats than having skill in sandbagging. If there was ever someone who actually had 80% wins without ever having played as a premade or having looked up his teammates' and opponents' stats, he'd probably be a cheater.
If someone leaves on the 3 minute mark and everyone concedes by the 5 minute mark, I thought the game doesn't count towards your stats anyway. Had I heard wrong?
But the trick here is that ranked games can only be automatched. That way you gaurantee that people of nearly equal skill are playing eachother, thus giving the win/loss percentage some actual meaning. This is how it works in almost every game with some sort of ranked stat tracking. Using custom games to determine rankings is practically unheard of.
Good idea and makes perfect sense. I used to play QoT for the majority of my games and also argued that she wasn't too bad. Then I played Sedna and realized that even if QoT isn't terrible, she's much worse. QoT can hold the line well with a minion build, but her low attack and spells make it very hard for her to ever assassinate a decent player. Sedna on the other hand is not only more of a tank, but she has team faster HP regeneration, runs fast, and can easily interrupt spells.
I don't particularly like posting on game forums, but I feel I can offer a personal opinion here. I'm a fairly non competitive pugger with above 50% wins. I don't have an interest in forming a team and taking the game more seriously, but I do get sort of bored of the frequent low level playing in pug games. I also don't usually bother looking up stats. I usually avoid premades. This isn't because I feel that I have a significant disadvantage with
