There's simply no way any form of what you know of as Beastial Wrath is going to be viable early game. At level 10 UB does 226.5 DPS without any items. Max rank BW would raise that by 124 DPS, and BW is only active for 7 out of every 15 seconds (ignoring cooldown flags), costs mana, has no defensive utility, requires you to be in melee range, and hits only one target... You could halve the damage of Ooze and Ooze would still be better than B

I was actually in the game Cinders is referring to, and what he says is true. We had a known noob on our team against 3 decent players, and when we were about to launch, one of our opponents unclicked in and demanded that his teammate switch demigods from QoT to Reg. We ended up having to wait for an additional 2 minutes while they argued, even though they probably would have won even without demigod switching. Picking your teammate's demigods when you alrea
I'm not saying stats are bad. On the contrary, it is good to know player levels to play funner games. I'm glad we have a stats system. I'm just sying that the way it is done puts so much emphasis on winning and losing. The only thing that counts is the output. Isn't there a way we could tweak it?
I agree entirely. I love having the overlay, but I want a real rating system that won't reward players
Quoting _Golgoth_, reply 6 I think that the community have been wrong. The stats have brought around more harm than good > I disagree. I have saved countless hours because the person with the 12% win rate was kicked before we launched a "Good players only game" rather than have to play the game out. Is it harder for me to get a game? Yes, but the games are much better balanced.&nb
Quoting Makeshift-D, reply 18 I honestly don't think nerfing just Foul Grasp and Mist would bring UB and EB down to TB and Reg's level.Definitely not, but here's my main issue with UB/Oak/EB vs. the weaker demigods: The top 3 get a ridiculous amount of mileage out of a few specific skill points (the ones I listed) and the weaker DGs get too little mileage out of some of their skills.
This game needs more popularity desperately. Nerfing the most popular DGs is not a good way to get it. If you were going to make some nerfs though, these are the ones I'd do: Foul Grasp: duration reduced to 1.0 seconds at rank 1, 1.5 at rank 3, 2.0 at rank 3. Healing/Damage per second boosted slightly Divine Justice: 7% rank 1, 13% rank 2, 20% rank 3 Mist: I have
Stardock screwed up on this one. I was hoping they'd make a new and working ranking system, not simply refreshing our win / loss ratio so that we can't determine balanced games any longer. I had to play out a long and painfully imbalanced game today against 3 good players with former win / loss ratios between 60% and 70% with two much weaker players, one a relative noob. I wouldn't have agreed to play it if I had seen their ranks on pantheon prior to the game.
I'd say tweaking crit chance by maybe 5% will make the skill worth taking. Hell its worth taking untweaked. But 2x, that seams too much. That's no longer AA, thats burst damage, when you have it proc 30% of the time. If people want to spec for crit they can fork out the gold. And we all know they do. Lets put a dollar value on it and do some math: Duelist's Cuirass: 3000 gold, 5% chance
Quoting HorseStrangler, reply 11 Exactly when did every demigod need to be competative?Good point, I think we should nerf QoT, TB, and DA. I mean why not?NNa just nerf the top 3. Everyone want to bitch how so and so isn't as good as them, so bring them down a notch.
I'd probably prefer this method than boosting the 6 other demigods.
I mean really... stats mean jack right now, it is sad if you must use these hacks to wreck the fun in the game, in Pantheon of all places.
QFT However, I don't think Demibug hacks, he's been fine with me.
lol 25% crit this "tweaks" are crap man the point is ONLY if it is a long game or not if it is a long game even the original passives were good, if its a short game the passive are NEVER good, not even if you put 47457347 crit so you basically tried to balance passives for short games making them insane in any other kind of games
Being dead implies that the game went through a process of dying. The game never had a high population to begin with, and it isn't noticably less active than when it first came out, so I'd say no, the game is not dead.
It might be OP for TB, but I'd be interested in seeing this interface change for QoT.
I don't think DA needs any boost. However, even with your changes, his crit strike is completely useless. It takes simple alegebra to realize that the skill would at best be mediocre even at 20% chance for the first skill. I can't figure out why anyone currently uses it, Enhanced Attributes (which sucks) is way better.
Quoting synnworld, reply 20 The greatest problem is the fact he has little to no mana regentive properties, especially for being a mana dependent demi. I would make one of his passive abilities eithera mana regentive one or make shadow strike steal mana from enemy demigod. no its fine if he actually had mana to waste to spam nonstop skills he would be OP
Blade of the Serp
Arguing that DA is less good than the top 3 is not the same as arguing that he's not competitive. Few people would argue that he's as good as the top3, but many can argue that he's just as good as the second tier. Personally, in a "competitive" or "high skilled" game (whatever that really means) where I want to win, I rather be DA than TB, Sed, or Reg.
I'm still going to say people are just not using him correctly/he's too new/whine based on a bad game.
He's already been mentioned in the hall of shame. He's done this to me once. Another person mentioned that it's been done to him in a separate game. When he did this to me, it was in a 4v4 where 2 of his teammates had already quit and his team was losing badly, yet he refused to resign. Avoid this guy at all costs.
imo DA + reg or tb or Qot is just as bad as Reg + tb or QoT. Its just not a viable option. DA is to squishy
DA + Reg or TB isn't good, I agree, but DA + QoT isn't bad at all. Shield spamming helps DA a lot.
We'd be open to starting to include favorite mods in with Demigod itself if you guys want to draw up a list.
Just be careful not to assume that the forum's posters represent the views of every player. I don't post or use the balance mods because I don't understand the basis for most of their proposed changes.
Just play for fun. If you want to give the weaker demigods a try but don't want to lose games, only play with those demigods when the teams are stacked in your favor. You can also give the weaker demigods a try when the both teams are mixed with different skilled players, in which case you can feed off the weaker players and avoid the stronger ones. If the strongest opponent is UB though, make sure you're a good support demigod or your teammates will get plowed. &
DA isn't viable with BotF. Don't get it, go with BotS. If you're worried about getting ganked as DA, always hang onto sigils. I get a sigil with DA from the very beginning of the game with DA, and I've had the most kills with him in every game. Play him as an assassin rather than a tank. Don't waste your skill points on passive skills or warp area until after level 10. Think of him as a Reg or TB with faster burst damage but no area
Frogboy, is there a reason why Demigod doesn't use the established and proven successful ELO rating system?
Very weird. I might buy this item now. Someone should make a list of all the undisplayed item attributes.
When choosing settings before the game starts, how does altering an AI's HP affect the AI in game? I haven't noticed any changes when I set the AI HP to high.
