Hm, I think you'd find something like that getting overused unless it silenced all demigods, friend and foe alike. A bit more thought would have to go into deciding whether to use it or not in that case, and could still be used to lock down the flags without seeing it overused in battle late-game.

I like the tower heal idea. An early game counter to Regulus's range talent would be nice to prevent some of that early game demolitioning.
So glad this happened! Though I don't really play online games other than with friends and usually against the computer (don't laugh!) So it won't affect me, I'm happy for those it will! Offtopic: B-Godlike. Let me reiterate what others have already said. There is nothing unique about any spec you think you've come up with . Full stop. Period. End of story. The ego, to think that people are going to find you so gobsm
I don't actually follow the stats at all, I don't care for the ranking system either, someone else can fill you in on how it's calculated ^^. As for the towers, the linking is purely a pretty effect, it doesn't actually mean anything, or change the damage they do :).
Thank's for the info! As above, I don't believe the personal notes need to be viewable by the public, it opens the door to too many problems. Being able to see your own notes could be handy though.
Um, if it's anything like Vista, I had so many people tell me no you can't swap between 64 bit and 32 bit, you get what you buy. They were absolutely sure. They were all absolutely wrong. I've swapped between them (yes, with activations) fine, so have friends of mine since then...
Awesome balance hey.... god damn you telstra, burn in hell...
Demigod players may get priority, but that still may not necessarily mean you all get access yet, or that actual invites are out yet... Patience my friends!
Uh, I really don't see what a favor point reset would achieve except frustrate a lot of people. I play enough to have the favor items I use. I don't see the need to continually reset them though. Resetting them wouldn't add anything to the game, to be honest I'd just wonder why the hell I had to keep earning my damn items, an unnecessary hurdle. I agree that perhaps they aren't even needed at all. Its a very shallow form of perpetuality in its current
I still can't decide if this is a troll post or not. Your first sentence was a hoot, but the paragraphs seem like sincere opinion. Your own opinion is well and good. I think you'll find though that whilst there are some generally accepted ideas as to who's strong and who's weak, a lot of it also comes down to the individual player, and which demigod's playstyle is best in their hands.
When I hear the name Betrayer I think of a Demigod that can suck the mana/health of a fellow Demigod, ala the Rook's ability to suck the health out of his own team's towers. That would add an interesting mechanic to the game, I think. When you see a Betrayer on your team and he's being chased by an enemy Demigod, do you help him or run away? ... Now that I think about it, this may be open to abuse. Bar
(Re: ZehDon) All good, tho I'm scared we're moving sideways despite being related. Taking all this casual/ageing gaming in stride, I still think the points stand as to why some people believe similar games cannot coexist, and in what sense they believe a game may kill another. That being as simple as the fact that many of us who wouldn't consider ourselves necessarily casual, also don't want to spread our efforts into several similar games. <p
I'm not so sure they should be ridden off. As I mentioned (I really should find a reference for it) the age of the gaming populous is ageing, and that general demograph is pretty safe to say more timepoor than your average uni student or highschool student, and possible more able to speak with their wallets. Using myself and my friends as an example, (tho I hate to use DG v HoN/LoL as said example) we chose to all buy demigod not only because it is an awesome game now, bu
Hmmm, perhaps I'm setting myself up to get stoned to death here, but co-existing in the market doesn't always mean co-existing with the same players or sharing the same market. I know plenty of people who buy 1 game at a time, burn themselves out on it over a couple of months or longer and move on to another (perhaps totally different genre depending on what's come out). They don't get several similar games, don't want to spread their limited time being mundane at several games wh
That's also a problem StAcK3D_ActR, sometimes some DG's bars don't show whatsoever. And yeah ZehDon, it would appear to be a scaling issue, whereby the HP bar skin scales in size but the internal bar stays the same, the overall effect that of the HP amount going up and down depending on zoom. I haven't paid enough attention to gauge if that's what's happening but from memory it sounds right.
Well I haven't called anyone elses ideas silly. By all means if someone can balance out the fact that the same few items are the best for just about every spec/DG then of course its great, and if incorporated into the original even better. My only concern as I mentioned before is that balancing mods can segregate the community between those that do and those that dont. My hope is that the mod distribution system they implement allows distribution within the client, so that i
#1. Hey. Yeah I'm aware the other games from this genre don't offer that option either, however I play almost entirely with my friends and I have to say as pety as it might be it is the cause of MANY arguments >.> Imo it actually makes more sense for the technical kill to go to the highest damage dealer anyway, but I admit its preference. If this were just an option in the regular game option menu that could be used in any of the game types it could be quite convenient
For those that may not use them or just haven't noticed, the HP bars that float above DG's change depending on how far you zoom in and out. It's annoying that zoomed out you see things that look almost dead but upon zooming further in their HP zooms a significant portion higher. You can learn to compensate for this in your head but a correct display would just be nice. In brief, it would be nice if the HP bar showed a consistent HP % instead of changing depending on zoom
I have to say... I was playing a game the other day and whilst I recognize TB might be a tad strong if he could AA whilst moving, I came up against a regulus and after getting edged out and needing to retreat he followed, whilst moving and AAing and continued to WTFPWN me on the run... I really do fail to see how TB shouldn't be allowed to AA on the run with range like that, when regulus can do exactly the same thing, kiting with snipe and mines in a similar fashion as you can with fi
^ I agree with not changing too many balance issues with mods, but leaving that instead to the developers. It can easily divide the community too much. 3 game options I'd really like to see. 1 . Kill goes to highest % damage inflicted on that demigod (since it was last at 100% health) instead of last hit. Assist goes to others who helped. Last hit sniping becomes irrelevant. 2 . (and I'm not sure I even want this
Damn double post.
How do towers increase challenge? The protect your base too, the challenge comes from fighting the other players near the towers, the balance of which is altered when you change game settings.
Yeah but I don't see that change as a bad thing. It doesn't change the demigod-demigod balance, it changes your map tactics a bit more. I agree that high towers doesn't make the game more of a challenge though, UNLESS you're one of the characters that are poor at takin
I've posted in another thread with a similar suggestion. It would be nice if the game used the same window mode as WoW. Maximised-window mode uses the entire screen realestate, and hitting the window key pops the taskbar up over the game. It's much faster than alt-tabbing out of the program. A change like that would make me incredibly happy. The game also runs better for me in window mode on win7 than it does fullscreen. Not sure why.
I'm a fan of the new look. It's less fischer-price than the last one :) Suits my desktop more!
