For DG's that were supposedly set for 1.1, 1.3 would be a really long discrepancy from what we were built up in anticipation for initially :( Tho I definitely agree with happily waiting for the to come out polished and balanced. Then again, surely balance would also be increased with extensive community feedback? Perhaps I'm overestimating this communities ability to write feedback constructively instead of tearing SD/GPG a new one if they arent 100% satisfied, so ye

This isn't a whinge, I've never had a problem with 'it'll be ready when it's ready' mentality, just wondering how those new DG's are coming along? May be a long shot but anyone from SD/GPG reading this forum in FrogBoy's absence wanna drop a hint ;) I really hope they arent held off till 1.2, I had a secret hope you guys were gonna surprise us with them in this 1.1 hotfix!
I'm sure there will be one by the time 1.2 is released....At least I hope so.
Hmmm, I have found p2p to be a real crux of this game. I understand the reason behind using it, but it seriously has hurt my and friends abilities to play with anyone outside our city even. Yeah you can get alright games interstate, but by the time I got the game my mates had already all but given up on net games due to their stutteryness (especially late game), and we now just hamachi with ourselves (benifit of knowing enough people who own AG ^^). I really, really
It is indeed a shame that some people come here and treat him as though he's personally responsible for everything that goes on. Thankfully I think most people realise it isn't the case, but its the whiners who make the most noise. +1 for the effort FB/SD have put in thus far.
Excellent news :) Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the update! Even if it isn't quite what we'd hoped to hear ;)
I wish people would clarify whether they are refering to their online or singleplayer favor points.
He might be referring to the fact that several people have now reported their items don't remain purchased on online games, they have to be repurcahsed, not just reselected every game. I thought this was just an offline favor problem, but it appears not :(
Can confirm that Talsworthy, there are a few posts in these 1.1 related threads stating that in offline (and I think someone said online too? not sure) favor items are being reset to showing none purchased, and rebuying them each game costs more points but the item once again disappears next game.
Offline or online Martona? Is it a problem for both modes then?
Single player favor is (actually) bugged. You see your items first game after patch, all subsequent games show 0 purchased items and your favor point pool will continue to go down, not saving any purchases in it's wake.
Since patching, first offline skirmish showed all purchased items okay, second game showed no purchased items at all. From that point on purchasing items depreciated your favor point pool but the bought item never saved again. Haven't seen online yet. A perpetual favor point sink. Happens on both my computer and my flatmates.
^ , and in the past when hamachi has caused issues for myself, disabling the adaptor wasn't even enough. Actually, whilst uninstalling it eventually let us see LAN games again (whereas disabling the adaptor didn't), our games now both freeze for a little while when they are trying to find other LAN games and eventually seeing them. Before installing Hamachi it was instant and smooth. But this is probably unrelated to your thread, and dont wan't to derail it! Hope y
Great vid man, and you were right about that song! Will link this to a couple of friends who are still boarderline.
Sexcellent news. Cant wait, and looking forward to 1.2 now. I like Fearzone's idea about Boss fights. As for rewarding multiplayer with gear, sounds like someone wants to turn this into an mmo ;)
TerranUp summed it up nicely. It wasn't so much that we were going to lengths to defend a blatant imbalance for nothing but the sake of it, just that a lot of us honestly didn't really see that much of an issue with where they were in the first place. People learned to push with them, adapt to the situation etc etc. When you look at a XP/gold table it shows a bit of a discrepancy between priests and minotaurs/archers though, so if they tweaked that to create a smoother balan
Press shift+tab, click chat. Problem solved.
I didn't realise you could do this to chat with -Pantheon- people. Each time I tried the shift+tab chat I get some closing link: excess flood message. Perhaps this is cuz I haven't been paired up with anyone else at the time I start the chat? Can't wait for my net to uncap this week so I can start trying some real online games propperly >.>
Hello whitewolfx! The good news is that a couple of your con's are already being addressed as we speak, arranged teams are comming soon, and "random" hero selection is in fact coming this week in 1.1. Even the chat system in game, which you like, is getting changed to be more readable (i think that's what was said) in 1.1 also. As for not being able to chat in lobbys in Pantheon games, I agree, I even made a post about it suggesting it change to custom game type lobbys, though
As you've mentioned, most (all except for sedna's silence? I'm not thinking hard atm) interrupts come with a bunch of other effects too. Perhaps they intended these interrupts to be just a bonus along with the rest of the effects, instead of the other way around? I've only intentionally used them as interrupts for some of the longer casts anyway, specifically porting away which is such an unsatisfying end to a duel!
That's exactly what we've been saying. Really every other point here is moot, we can go around and around in circles about when priests can help, and no reasonable person is going to say that priests are an auto-loss 100% of the time or that they never serve any purpose.
Unfortunately, there are some people here claiming exactly that. (Nah, not in this thread Obscenitor, this one is actually constru
I agree with Spooky and g0chu, as I haven't run into this as such a severe and devastating problem as some people have. As has been suggested before, closing the gap in xp/gold a touch could help balance it out a little more, but it still has its strategic uses where it is now.
You think there is a problem, so do others, seems from this thread alone that more people think it's not as big of a deal . You honestly think it's more than likely going to lose you the game? I disagree. I also didnt debase to these sorts of personal attacks against you , merely your tone of title, hope this clears it up for you. So with your own use of the strawman definition, and litterally saying my defending the situation (i.e. disagreei
If you log into Multiplayer > Internet, and then backtrack to the original menu, it should show you as Logged on as "XXX" in the lower left hand corner, and your achievements tab will show your online achievements instead of your offline profile :)
The game mechanic is so horribly broken, and must be fixed, and for you to call that "childish" and defend it just makes yourself look like a total douche.I hope the develops listen to the majority rather than a few vocal fanboys like yourself.
Funny we don't really seem to suffer this massively debilitating problem when my mates all LAN together. I'd take a gander that it's to do with our communication.... It appears o
