Maybe people should quit judging games based on betas months away from release...

It's very quiet.
Many SD card readers can't handle the high speed cards and cause Windows to lock up until you pull them out. You need a new reader.
Honestly, most people who joined an open beta at this point would download it, try to play online for 30 minutes and then uninstall. I also strongly disagree that you can't get good feedback from the current testers, just because we bought the game based on a description. Buying a product is not the same as being happy with it. The game is simply not ready for open beta. Netcode needs to be 99.5%, not ~50% chance to connect, 50% chance to get desynced, 50% chance to lag so hard
We're internally testing a beta 2D right now which may go up tomorrow. Mainly bug fixes. ü Particle tweaks ü Low fidelity fog and terrain rendering improvements ü Sedna skill fixes. ü </spa
Anyone who thinks item recipes (for instance) and last hits are good game mechanics are going to have a very limited influence on our thinking of what the game should be like.
You're still not giving me much to work with. I guess you'll need to contact and they can go through the iterations of getting the details from you. Good luck.
In Skirmish games online or single player, players decide which map. But in tournament mode, Demigod chooses the map for you.
The good news is we fixed the crash. The bad news is, it won't go out in beta 2. We'll have to wait until Beta 3.
No update today. :(
Here's my definition of Crunch Mode or at least, how I perceive it. During normal development of a game, there are certain procedures in place for development. You have a game design document that serves as the bible for the game and everyone is assigned to do pieces of it. If changes want to be made, then people submit that to the game designer who, if approved, typically from having a meeting with other designers, is then assigned back to the senior producer/project manager
Well if you guys who are playing it find it hard to decide whether it's an RTS or an RPG, try having to market it! :)
I know we're having a good time here!
Heavenfall: For now, our intent is to have 4 Demigods associated with the forces of light and 4 associated with the forces of darkness. But we plan to add different types of tournaments as well as expand on what we have. For instance, Mike Marr and I would like to see it expand to where there'd be user created sides who do battle to get their team to ascend. But certainly for right now, there aren't enough people to give such a system a proper test so something like that would h
Well that sucks. The big problem the fact that SupCom could really make use of 4gb of ram on the big maps. That would tell me that this game is going to run into the same limitations.
The arenas in Demigod are far smaller than the maps of Supreme Commander. It's a very different game.
Anyone who pre-orders can join the beta. But there is no "open" beta in the sense that anyone can just download and play it. We'll have a demo after release.
Balancing doesn't formally begin until beta 3. :)
The trackpoint is key for me too.
Texas Holdem is a pretty fun card game. Add 2 more rounds after "the river" or take away the flop and it's a much less fun game. Seemingly subtle things can have a very large impact on fun.
A lot of the feedback here is being implemented. I know one thing I'd like to see is that victory should be a MULTIPLIER of your favor score and not just another source of points.
Good feedback. I agree.
I agree with much of what you have written here but I want to respond to some of your points. Regarding warscore. The warscore was introduced because before, your war rank simply went up due to a timer which required no skill at all. But because it's a new concept, it isn't very well balanced. Here is how it is supposed to work (but hasn't been updated yet to support this) The game mode you play as will determine ho
Frogboy this game has a chance because you guys added more end of level skills. My suggestions seems to have taken effect so now my opinion is that the game is great.
Cool! And thanks! We are reading the forums, taking notes on suggestions and adding them when possible.
Demigod does have complex game mechanics. Not having things like recipes ala Dota doesn't make Demigod less complex. What one person calls complex another person would say tedious. Clearly, we're listening to feedback. We always do. But that doesn't mean that we're somehow obligated to implement every beta tester's vision of what they think the game should be. And I can assure you, there's always a few guys posting very long, very interesting, and v
Just means that the system for connecting accounts needs to be better. One of the many reasons to have the beta. This whole issue that we're running into is a GOOD thing. Normally, this is exactly the kind of thing that happens after games are released.
