In Demigod, you can boss around the AI players on your team in single player which is nice. You just ping the map and the AI players will tend to come help you.
Frogboy
I enjoy the single player game experience. It's similar to what is in Sins of a Solar Empire except it also has a tournament mode where you play against the AI.

Yeah, they have been saying that since December so i wouldn't take that into consideration. It seems that the Beta is not going as well as it was intended with many technical bugs causing the experience to be sour and unrewarding for a group of people. At the risk of yourself not falling into that category i would just hold out until th

For players who want to know where we think we are on connectivity here's a rating scale: 1 = absolutely awful. 10 = perfect By release the game needs to be at an 8. So where do we see ourselves? Beta 2: 1 Beta 2D: 2 Beta 3: 4
Quoting Frogboy, reply 8 I've seen some people talk about how there's only 2 months until release. Pish. That's an eternity for these kinds of things. What do you mean?
I know this is going to sound crazy but the connectivity problems are pretty fun to debug. I am actually quite anxious to get in on Monday and figure it out. See, in Beta 2, the architecture was only being put in. In beta 3, the architecture is plumbed in, now we just have to debug it. I've seen some people talk about how there's only 2 months until release. Pish. That's an eternity for these kinds of things.
Need a lot more info about yoru system.
I am thinking the same thing. Actually, I am thinking that generals should get more gold.
Yes I agree that the game itself is amazing. I'm still quite puzzled by why they went with P2P connections instead of through a server. Most of the people that I'm connected with have a ping of 150+ and it makes me lag horribly bad in game.
If it was client/server, the lag would be 300. Client/server doubles ping. That's why it's peer.
You should wait until this game is released, see if the reviews are positive and then wait for a demo (IMO).
I plan to write a more formal report on Beta 3 shortly but here are some quick thoughts after spending the day with it with friends. Briefly: FUN. It is fun. It could use more balance and some pacing and some anti-cheese stuff but I feel pretty good about the fun level of the game. BUGGY. Oh god it's buggy. Forget playing multiplayer unless you close the game (exit to Windows) between each game attempt. The

Today we had a big stress test and were able to get plenty of 5 on 5 matches going. <

Sounds like a video driver version issue to be honest. What version of the nVidia drivers are you running?
It only updates occasionally.
Should be up momentarily.
Took us awhile to figure out the problem. Basically, having beta 2D people on the server was messing up our connections so we've had to make it so that if you dont' have beta 3 you can't get onto the Internet servers.
Yep.
