Well, I'll be up all night with you guys then, FrogBoy. . .just in case a patch hits tonight ;)
Can we actually get a Stardock Person to look at this error, this game is getting frustratingly annoying. Patches that dont work, a messy week-end were nothing was working, yet the pirates get to play this game with out problems. Nice going guys, you lot are seriously messing things up, if this were EA we'd probably be burning the building by now, but come on, this type of thing should not be happening, dont you guys test this stu
Yes; there is no "connection info" dialog in the bottom-right corner of the connection screen before the game starts to show me that all the other players are AIs--I guess there wouldn't have to be, since they are all already connected. . . by not existing in the first place! Very annoying; without the warning that the game will be 100% AI, I don't have the chance to quit it. Why the hell does the game think I would EVER want a 100% AI game without at least TRYING to put a real
There is a well-known crash in the game if you are alt-tabbed away from Demigod when it connects to a multiplayer match and starts to load the game. Stardock have NOT acknowledged this bug and are not currently working to fix it, according to their own blog posts. Beyond that, to fix your first problem: Either download a Mouse-lock program (google it), but that is annoying. . . OR go to the graphics options of Demigod and set it to play Windowed size. And then maxi
Pretty much, yeah.
In one of my recent games, a teammate got stuck behind a "wall" between two friendly towers. Essentially, it was on a map (rectangular, orange-colored w/ a black background) where the wall between towers stretched alongside a rectangular hole in the map, as a sort of fence. The game bugged for a second and he popped between the wall and the chasm and couldn't get back out. Since he didn't have a TP scroll and was a friendly unit, there was no way to get him out, and I couldn
Yeah, I know the multiplayer issues are by-far the first priority, and that's totally cool. Pathfinding bugs, favor points, and CTD bugs in multiplayer matches also all need to come before Alt-Tab/Multimonitor hangs like this. Which is *fine*. I just want to know that they've seen this and have it in some big List O Bugs somewhere.
I'd appreciate at least an acknowledgement that they know it's an issue and will get to it someday. So long as I see that, I don't really mind how long it takes. Within a reasonable limit, of course :)
Tower damage may be worth more than you give it credit for: it adds splash, which lets it take down multiple units at once. . . which is ESPECIALLY important when a Soul Power + Spirits Oak comes crashing onto your towers pulling in +350 damage from his spirts. Knock 5 of them out of the sky in one shot and all of a sudden his damage is a lot less scary :) Similarly, if an enemy wave breaks through to your towers, taking them all down in 1-2 shots is better than spreading 5-6 ov
I posted this originally on Qt3, so there may be some parts of it that are answering to questions or comments I saw there, but hopefully not :) This is my current Oak Build, but I am still playing with Items (especially artifacts; I hadn't realized Mageslayer was so darned cheap!). I typically do the immediate flag cap -> wave kill = level 2-3 open, and basically spend my early levels killing off mid-range players who don't know to retreat and leveling off of grunt-kills.&nbs

I get shield a bit later because if you playing defens
So, as I've moved to the top of the rankings by winning a lot of matches very quickly (before my rank can be properly updated, most likely), I haven't gotten to fight a lot of people technically ranked above me yet. . . and now there are very few people above me to fight and gain a ton of XP off. . . meaning that the ranking charts will always be a pretty lively place of rising and falling! I think I've got an idea now, at least. Thanks!
I'm currently the no. 5 Oak in the game (pretty neat! I'm very proud of this accomplishment, since I am God-awful at virtually every videogame I've ever owned in the last 18 years of being old enough to play :) ) and currently possess 1,117 "experience" in the rankings and have no idea how that number is generated. People with far fewer games than me can have much, much more experience, even though I have more wins, total games played, favor points, and playtime in the game.&nbs
Actually kyro, if you are still reading this (and I hope you are), I was wondering if you know why on Earth the game uses more processing power (and heats my system more) when I am trying to connect to other users than it does in the midst of graphically insane four-demigod duels? Because my temps spike to 80C when searching for games and never go above 72-3 in-game =/
This happens to me, too. Had a post about it, but the devs ignored it.
And still trying to be noticed :)
Well, err, I am contacting the devs right now.
I get the same with Pantheon games, too.
The idea of being matched up with random players around my skill level without clanstacking jerks is one of the big draws to demigod for me. And fighting for dark or light brings back fond memories of representin' the ARM back on the boneyards.
Oh man, do I *ever* miss Boneyards play and trying to conquer the galaxy in Total Annihilation. To be fair, though, I was on the CORE side. . . you will be assimilated into a
I run the game in windowed mode, as it's clearly a supported mode, being that it's an option, right? If the window focus is anywhere but Demigod at the *moment* that a Pantheon game goes into loading mode (that is, the instant when all the players are properly connected), Demigod hangs, irreparably and completely. It starts sucking up more and more RAM until I end the process, but no network utilization or anything else. It looks like these guys are being
I had no idea who that voice was at the very end. And then realized it was probably from one of the demigods I've never played, since I've only tried Oak and Erebus so far :P
I got this AI on my team last night: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/player/17403 Man, that AI sucks donkey balls. . . talk about unfair lumping him with me! Lucky that I was playing a mean Oak and carried the game with the other human, giving "Fedel" one of his only three wins ;)
That is pretty fantastic/bizarre.
To be fair, it doesn't really put you at a disadvantage since everyone else is losing their points, too ;)
