The system does try to match teams of similar rank, but I believe it currently prioritizes getting games going fast more at present. So unless a lot of people are queued up at once, it'll tend to just match who's there as best it can.
Any chance you could reduce the priority and increase the priority for competitive games?
Incidentally, it is not hard to find a game with no premades. It takes a little effort, but this is not difficult.
So what is the secret? You can ask once you join, but that places a lot of trust in the host to be honest. You can check Pantheon, which is what I do, but that is tedious, especially if you are the last man joining and everyone wants to launch. Or you can keep a list of host that regularly do premade game
Well the latest patch has made the game crash more frequently, but not that frequently. So the issue has to be some type of incompatibility with one of the computers.

I had two crashes last night and before patch, I didn't have any. I crashed once in lobby when the host booted another person. (Known bug). I also crashed about 5 minutes into a game that immediately followed the lobby crash.

I cannot imagine that the developers thought to themselves, "I want to see an epic fight where the victorious team that won by a sliver gets nothing because ooze ticked off the last 5 HP of UB." We had this happen last night. It was a very close match between teams. It's just we started to fall behind because ooze ticked off the last
Rook's towers are only effective en mass. Solution: do not let him get set up. Rooks's towers are only effective when concentrating firepower. Solution: attack en mass with grunts, minions, and other DGs. Rook's towers' firepower is diminished by armor. Solution : get some armor. Rook cert

Erebus needed a nerfing and is just fine now. They have all the statistics so they are in a much better position to judge what needed nerfing and what didn't. Well there are lots of unknowns. Is it possible that UB games with an AI UB are counted as games, but for the purpose of win/loss % the AI UB is not counted?
They do have advantage in being an established team and knowing each other better, but that's about it.
Um, no. A premade has a level of trust that cannot be found in a PUG. When I play in a premade and my teammate calls for help, I respond. When I ask my premade buddy to go capture a particular flag, he does it. When we want to spring to catapults I know he'll pitch in on the upgrades. When I pu
That tells me that the devs are going to tend to the every needs of the whiners, regardless of the validity and necessity of the issue(s) at-hand.
It doesn't tell me that at all. What it tells me is that they listened to the community, looked at the evidence, and then implemented a change. GPG has been very responsive to addressing balance. Erebus needed a nerf.
That being said, yes, the priest/angels nerf was definitely not a priority issue. Are you telling me that you would quit playing this game if they did not nerf the priests/angels? I certainly hope not. However, many people would probably quit due to the pathing bugs, Fire TB auto-attack bug, and/or foul grasp bug. Why? Because it hinders the gameplay in a more serious manner.

Must admit that after looking at pantheon games since patch a bit more, it seems like they work much better now. The percentage of successfully started games is a lot higher it seems (or rather pretty high).
The concede thing doesn't solve the underlying problem... I'm not playing for some stat that says how many games I've won, I don't care, I just want to play a game of Demigod online rather than stomping the woeful AI all the time.
That's addressed by the current system. If the other team concedes, you collect your win and you can get into another game. You do not have to sit around and play the computer AI now. I
It's not that we want to play against pugs, we absolutely enjoy playing against other teams, but we can never find them.
Then you are not looking hard enough. At least 50% of the games listed in the custom game list at any one time are premades. They don't say it in the title, but the more you play the game, the more you recognize names and their associated premades. Whenever I join a game, I do two things: 1) ask if

I have now bought the charm of life for 4 straight games. The only saving grace is that my favor points do not seem to decrement for the next game so at least I am not losing favor.
The difference with foul grasp is that it can be interrupted even after it takes hold. Minor difference, but one all the same. And in the 2 UB scenario, I would recommend not fighting two UBs solo anyway.
No, that is not a logical conclusion. The logical conclusion is that a team with more experience playing as a team will have an advantage over similarly-skilled individuals playing as a team for the first time. I do not believe that the numbers include QoT's shield as part of her hitpoints. That should be included at least at the outset. It's a rare build to see a QoT without a shield.
Do I also get to complain that Rook is so large that everyone just clicks on him to attack, thereby ignoring all the small DGs?
