You do not need your AOE to kill off the giants. You need the AOE to kill off everything else so that your troops will focus on the giants. Once you kill off the minor grunts, you can ignore the giants because your minor grunts will kill them. Second, if your grunts have parity with their grunts, you will get out of your base because you can assist your grunts better than they can assist their grunts because of the proximty to your base and health stone. And the only t

I was playing custom games predominantly because Pantheon and Skirmish were broken. Now that they work, I've been playing more Pantheon games.

Well I think the more valid point is that the teleport cooldown should be increased so that you cannot get back to a flag before the flag lock expires. There should be at least a small window after the lock in which you can turn the flag before they port in and do the same thing all over. It is particularly annoying on Crucible when erebus can just swarm into your base, turn flag, lock, and swarm out. If you wait for him to swarm over when his lock is expiring, he just locks

You are only relying on special abilities? The bite reduces armor which makes your autoattack value go way up. Your stun will affect her minions for a long time, plus your mist, while not much effect against QoT, will put the hurt on her minions. Couple that with swarm and you should be able to take down her minions. If she is spending all her time summoning minions and shields, then she has no mana for her special attacks. I notice, though, that you never mention QoT

Outside of the desync error (pre-patch), I think I have had one a lobby crash or two but no in game crashes for weeks now. All the games I have played post-patch went really well except for the favor sometimes counting and sometimes not.

Make sure you are using the correct login. It's not an uncommon mistake to use the wrong login because of the way that Impulse is set up. (See post above). If you were able to login to multiplayer in the past and are now unable to do so, there is a file that you can delete in one of the folders to solve the problem. This happened to me and after waiting a couple hours for it to resolve itself, I did some digging on the tech forums to find the solution. I don't re

Based on the stats, it couldn't have been that bad of a game. The gold between the sides is fairly balanced, as well as the damage and the kills. Even the levels are in parity. Only the rook on your team could have been said to be feeding them and that is a bit misleading because people tend to die more at the end of the game. Plus their rook died just as much. I guess my point is that unbalanced games are generally much more unbalanced than this wher

Game was effectively broken at release, but that is all water under the bridge now. You cannot go back and put the genie in the bottle. The current state of the game is not perfect, but it is damn playable and fun to boot. Custom games work well with the major issue being a player created issue - rage quiting. Patheon needs a bit of tweaking but in the main, it also works. The game is definitely in retail shape right now and suffers no more or less from bugs than

I have not had the lobby crashes that the OP is talking about and I played several games last night. The Demigod bug is something that I noticed even pre-patch. If your DG is slightly faster than the other DG, then your DG will get just within range and then abort it's attack - plus you fall behind. I now always move to a position ahead of the DG and manually attack when they get within range - annoying.

Update worked really well for my 4 or 5 custom games last night. Not much in the way of lag and surprisingly, only one person quit in all those games and I did not need to sit through the 30s disconnect. My abilities seemed to fire every time I used them too, but I wasn't paying too much attention to that.

Pre-mades have a huge advantage, even more so if the players are on Teamspeak/Ventrilo. That said, there are no other options other than custom games where people can play together. Unlike SUPCOM, there is no team ladder - custom games are it. Getting destroyed is not fun, so ask before you start whether it's a premade. If they lie to you, then they deserve a rage quit somewhere around the 5 minute mark. The other option is to host your own game.

I am willing to live with the fact that some innocents will be caught up in the penalty. I too have been subject to random crashes, net splits, etc. which force me to disconnect, but those are fewer and fewer each patch. The penalty should apply to rage quits, however, which by my definition is something that happens only within the first 5-8 minutes of the game when someone quits before the outcome is undisputed. After that, a quit is basically a concession and should be tr

With Sedna's heal aura and the priests casting heals, not much can be done. Rook can't get a slam off when Sedna tosses out a silence or a pounce and then dead rook. Reg's mines might have some effect, but not enough because she would just run through them and the 8 priests insta heal her. UB ooze won't touch them since the damage is too small and I am not sure that QoT ground spikes would be enough. I imagine in 2v1 you would be alright, but that presupposes that you

Just played a game where Sedna went and got every minion from the shop. No, I dont mean just one of each type, but every single one by buying and selling the minion idols. With her aura and 8 priests following her around, she was impossible to stop. And of course she was able to do this near the early middle of the game because you get your cash back when you sell the idols.

[quote who="ChromeWeasel" reply="6" id="2229943"] Something doesnt add up in your story. The Regulus players won't lose out on any gold by camping at the towers, because creep spawns have to end up at towers in certain lanes. So any Regulus who is at a tower in a creep lane will automatically accumulate gold and XP at a good rate unless you can chase him out. The only thing he may not due is claim new flags easiy, so you may be able to initially lead the war score. But that's not easy to

There are several reasons that comebacks are improbable. By late game, in order to stall a push, you need to have demigod parity at the push point. Towers become a non-issue (for defense), so unlike the beginning of the game, you can't use a tower to force a stalemate. If you need demigod parity to just stall a push, then you cannot spare someone to start recapping the map. I personally think that every demigod should have to be in range of a tower in order to damage a

From personal experience, 3 Regs get wiped in a 3v3 if they concentrate on snipe. I played another one of these and took the favor item that gives 1K HP every 45 seconds to everyone within a certain radius. The game wasn't even contested because they couldnt hold a single flag. And they didn't get much cash because they had to camp at the towers.

I played a 4v4 where 3 on the other side were playing Reg. It was also clear that they were coordinating. We trounced them . Reg has no staying powering in the early game so it was easy to cap flags. Second, snipe does more damage from distance, so they had to sit way back from the front line to have much effect. That meant they were not up killing grunts. Sure, they got a couple of kills in. But all y

TF2 achievements and multiplayer worked out of the box IIRC. Left4Dead has a decent single player experience so I am not sure what one of the posters was referring to when they said Left4Dead was MP only. In fact, it had more SP maps than MP maps. The multiplayer for both games runs smoother because of the server / client model and you get to pick the server. The better example of an overrated game is Total Empire. The game did not work for a good number of people out
