from what i hear, it's not a problem as SD has a big network of servers about the globe with which people can download. i could be mistaken though.

no, that computer won't. unfortunately the GMA945 chips don't have the necessary goods needed to for Demigod.

you'll find this thread useful if; you have an ATI card of some flavour, your Demigod looks like this; this just happens to be caused by, a clever little performance improving, technology called <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geometry_instancing" target="_blan

i believe i also did say 'CCC or RivaTuner'. now that i have an ATI card (got it on Sunday, wewt!), i'll go about finding the proper way of enabling it and post some instructions for future reference.
I only use Comodo for the firewall and keep defense plus disabled. I WAS having the same trouble with supreme commander not loading. I found a solution besides uninstalling completely, and as i dont use defense plus anyway, this is perfect for me. You can set a "disable defense plus permantly option", which requires a reboot. Under Comodo, hit the defense plus button in top right, then advanced on the left. Then hit the defense+ settings opt

i should point out that it's not SupCom/DG's fault; it's poor coding on Logitech's behalf. those Logitech drivers inject code into every running program in Windows, i know i'm painting Logitech in a pretty dark light right now, but it's in a similar manner to how some malicious code works. i'm not saying Comodo does the same, but if it presents the same symptoms as Logitech, a person's mind can only make one conclusion. also, may i ask why uninstalling

caeldrin is right; Comodo is the problem (well, likely is). this happens with Supreme Commander (which uses the same engine as Demigod), when people uninstall Comodo their problems go away. [EDIT:] make sure you uninstall the Logitech webcam drivers too (to be doubly sure), and IINM Kaspersky antivirus is also common amongst people with Supreme Commander technical issues.

there's no max limit, but if Stardock see you downloading it lots of times often they'll get suspicious and ask you about it. one copy on the laptop, and anoter on the desktop should be perfectily fine.

much better Tox, thanks. yeah, i hadn't heard of it until this forum; i believe it was Zubaz or Frogboy that started pushing people to use it. it's a great website, and i think everyone should use it.

hmmz. just had a quick skim through the DXDiag report, and nothing sticks out. what you should do now (the developers may find this the most helpful) is to change your DG shortcuts like so enable logging;
...\bin\Demigod.exe" /log C:\DamnLog.txt
do your stuff as normal, and then you should find the log in the root of the C:\ drive. whack that up of pastebin.com and then we'll get to business.

mod support isn't a big deal to bring in; it was, afterall, a primary feature of the Moho Engine. i might remind everyone that DG runs off a direct descendant of the Moho Engine. no modding is purely a political decision; not a technical one.

ah. well, yes, your computer is up to the task. the DG beta should still be making log files all the time. it think it'll be wise to find said log, upload it to pastebin.com, and post a link here for the devs. to look at. we'll also take a stab at it, and if we see any tell-tale signs of anything there'll probably be an answer.

yeah, the graphics are fine as they are (obviously there's no such this as too much polish). DG is not SupCom, it never was meant to compete in the proper RTS genre (and to be honest it's not really an RTS at the moment), stop expecting it to. and to the comment on "what really drives enjoyment in RTS"; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. some people get enjoyment from small, intense, battles. some people don't, neither is better than the other. if one isn't you

indeed, it was a bit of a contradiction. back on topic; yes, there'll be larger maps. however, there's a good reason not to see SupCom's 81KM maps in Demigod; it'd be a stupid idea! part of DG (and to a lesses extent with other titles in this genre) is the fact the fighting starts straight away. there's no eco. whoring, nuke-rushing, nor long ferrying times to grind through before the good stuff starts -- the fighting. i sure as hell don't w
