ugh. Frogboy is not talking about balance. he thinks having Generals on the field is causing desyncs.

how much money do you have currently? $600 will net you a nice desktop that will run rings around all games bar Crysis.
probably a corrupt download, has happened to me. just re-download it and try again.
technically it can, but seriously; it won't play well at all. $500, all it takes for a desktop (without monitor and stuff) that will happily play DG at (near) max settings.
sorry to be a party-pooper, but i think it's rather unlikely to get an x64 compile. see, both DG and SupCom use the Moho Engine; something that runs heavily off Lua scripting. making an x64 version will have very very little effect on performance unless GPG decides to write their own x64 Lua interpreter (or one already exists).

At least now I know I'm not the only one with this problem.
i'm sorry, but that's a poor effort if you stumbled on this thread; we get possibly 4 per week on this exact issue. it'll be fixed soon enough.

port 0 is just a bug in the game not properly showing the port, when it says 0 it really means 6073. but yes, Gnats3 is correct. ImpulseReacter should take care of everything for you, just let DG through your firewall and you should be all set.
is you current flavour of Windows a non-English one, or do you just use standard ASCII characters in your Windows username? that said; whack a log file of the game up on pastebin.com and we'll take a look at it.
AFAIK throwing into the air means insta-death, irrespective of actual damage. i might be wrong though.
did you search in hidden folders too? if not, what ForceWare drivers are you currently using.
it shouldn't hurt. that said; wikipedia has a great explaination of what happens.
that is true; all computers do the same, and equal, amounts of work.
yes, try an AI only match. otherwise console (shift+tilde) in; 'ren_showNetworkStats' and as the game pauses look for any indication of a specific lagger (it may indicate yourself).

this has been known for as long as those drivers existed (several years); it's actually a fault/incompatibiliy issue of Logitech's. if you can, install the drivers without any fancy colour filters and such; IINM the common consensus is that those are the culprit and the drivers work fine.
some people say it works with SM2.0, some don't (actually, most don't). best bet is to assume that it doesn't, but either way, if you have a SM2.0 card then you're probably not going to be able to enjoy DG much anyhow.
since i haven't yet experienced a desync in DG yet, can someone tell me; are you informed of who desynced? if you are; kick them and continue the game, albeit with odd teams.

uninstall your Logitech webcam drivers. failing that, copy-paste the following to any address bar;
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\
and delete the \Forge\ and \Demigod\ folders. that's the start, see if that helps.

can anyone point KingAssmar in the direction of Geometric Instancing? it's best to get that one under the bridge ASAP before we run off hunting for thermal and power issues.
