you should be able to swing the camera around by holding the space-bar, there's also some console commands to manipulate camera angles and such if you care to play with those.

are you sure it's over heating? ie. some program specifically yelling that at you. to me, not SLIing up properly is an issue outside of DG and SupCom.
make it another configurable option! configurabililty is a good thing! us gamers like to make our games play the way we like.
Scathis (God bless his soul) left GPG with a couple of other GPG employees (all on good terms with GPG) to work on their own start-up. if you're interested; go to uberent.com to see their 'watch this space'. their blogs are pretty damn insightful though.
this is a bug, however it's kinda' a moot point because in the event of a desync you should abandon the game as it's now different between the people that desync'ed. once it's desynced, it can't be resynched or anything; at best there'll be one tiny difference, at worst it's means one team will register destruction of a citidel and the other won't!
what i'd like is some developer feedback on why Generals aren't going to be significantly (fundementally) changed between now and release. if GPG is so happy with how the Generals play, can you shed light on the reasons for it? because we, currently, are certainly not happy with them. /BulletMagnet grabs his thematic spotlight, and shines it at the Lead Designer. that means you, Mr. Tyo. now, onto modding... modding support
GJ on a bug squashing job well done.
Phenom II 940
damnit, i'm jealous.
Windows7 beta.
do you have it dual booting with somthing else (ala. Vista or XP). if so, try it there to rule out the motherboard. that said; it's likely the first documented issue with DG and Windows7, considering both Windows7 and DG are both still in beta i doubt there'll be much that can be done about this until much closer to release. may i ask if you've tried this in S
just read through the forum (or use search) and look for the pair of solutions to this. it's actually a simple fix if you've got even the slightest amount of technical knowledge.
Its not an rts. Its supposed to feel like general are have more of an rts element while assasins have more of a rpg element.
but there's no RTS element to Generals yet; Heros with pets is the current situation. obviously, we're not looking for full blown StarCraft or anything. but many of us were sold on the premise (arguably promise) that Generals would be moderately RTS-ey.
do you have a non-Enlish Windows, or a Windows username that has accented characters?
would amping up the zoom sensitivity be of any help? i understand that zooming takes (precious) time, more-so if you're unfamiliar with it.
Also, I'm not asking to rotate the camera, I'm asking to change the angle of the camera. One is more aesthetic than anything, the other can be helpful for gameplay. Both should be possible, however.
ah. i too find the camera angle too shallow, and find 55* to be my ideal angle. now, the reason i know precisely 55* is my favourite is because i know the console commands to set the near and
but that large file is just an uncompressed *.zip. it really isn't an issue to extract, modify, archive. i mean, the SupCom patches do this, and they're only 40MB. granted that they aren't milestone shifts from b1 to b2 that require 40,000 lines of code changes and 9,000 new textures and effects data. IIRC, there was a patch that was only 300MB. that was a smallish update to one beta. [PS:] in this case i do believe it's an issue with t
I don't know where to begin. So many changes need to be made before this game is ready for the market. For one, the heroes are much too overpowered and resemble DotA characters too closely. Second, there are about 10 skills, probably more, for each character. For someone to understand all of the skills they will need to spend alot of time reading through all of the skills- a time which your enemy could have pushed to your base. Another huge problem is moving acros
Also, as a side note, would it be possible to make it so that if I click on a point on the minimap, my screen immediately goes to that part of the map? I shouldn't have to zoom out, move my screen over, and zoom back in to do that.
it should be added as a togglable option; God know how many times i've accidentally clicked in the minimap while issuing orders in the corner of the screen. that said; i originally found the strategic zoom (from t
what about your \Local Settings\ folder. it also stuffs up on non-English Windows installs. if you look back through the forum, someone made a nice fix to this and kindly posted coherent instructions to follow.
does it run great on your Samsung at other resolutions? IINM, someone left out 19x10 resolution data in on of the beta's. maybe it hasn't been put in yet.
anyone care to photoshop that picture into immortality? we may have DG's equivalent to Solar Bean, or Supreme Coffee.
next time; use pastebin.com, and post a link! cheers.
community members working directly with developers; holy shit, i think the world is ending.
upload the log file (assuming it's getting to the point where it creates one) to pastebin.com and link us to it.
anyone else noticing this issue? well, judging by the 30 other threads on this very thing, all posting before they look, i'd say yes.
i don't know how Reactor works under the hood, but could it require some of the components that a pirated Windows normally has disabled? like the BITS service. that may explain a correlation between pirated Windows and connection issues.
