Only in Demigod and what is geometric instancing? Couldn't find that setting in there.
couldn't find it? well, seeing as i don't have an ATI card myself i can't help you directly. anyways, the reason i said it was because that looks like a very similar issue SupCom has.
there's two ways to find out; just pre-order and see if you get a shiny new key in your inbox, or wait until Kyro, Frogboy, or another SD staffer pops by with the answer. it's a pity that that actual information isn't very well publicised.
but ignore the graphics card line; there's been issues with old cards without SM2.0
Geometric Instancing in CCC, plz toggle it.
aye. then that would explain why nVidia released special 8800GTs for Macs. may i enquire as what requires the custom BIOS; the OS, or some Mac hardware? bloody Apple.
have you tried running it from the Desktop? i don't have Impulse running at all (i even disabled it's quick loader).
you should read the bug list thread and look about for answers to you issues for your other computer. you'll have to be patient; it's still beta after all, but the community appears to be pretty adept at squashing bugs before the developers do.
playable; yes. but not at 1920x1200. just grab a HD4850 (at the minimum, considering the powerhouse of the dual Xeons you're packing) and you'll be kiting rings around the best of them. if you're set on getting the game anyway, i'd recommend pre-ordering now so you can play ... ahem, test the beta as soon as you upgrade. if you've got a best of a computer like that, and you're looking at upgrading then wh
the few games i've hosted or joined went without a hitch. sorry to sound like a dick, but i think it's a case of PEBKAC.
Taradur, which sound card are you using? your DXDiag lists both a Realtek and an XFi. disable one via the Device Manager.
right. first thing to do, list your; CPU model number (we can work out the speed, and hence if it's good enough), amount of RAM, graphics chip, drivers for said chip (this might be hard if you're not very computer savvy), prefered flavour of Windows (including if it's x86 or x64). get us this info. and we can start getting you answers.
there's no host server, except when setting up the game. what happens when that player leaves, or computer crashed? the game continues on perfectly fine, there's no change what-so-ever. the Moho Engine uses peer-to-peer netcode, each computer is effectively it's own server. you get a desync when the computers disagree on something; they not synchronised anymore, hence 'sesync'.
it was in beta 1C, but since the major front-end change it's gone MIA. the old front-end was bugged more bugged than this one, so it's not suprising it's gone on holidays.
Trig: it's probably best to use GMT time, as i'm pretty sure there's two, if not more, EST zones. take Australia for example; GMT+10, but it's still called EST.
what (i think) Chirmaya is saying, is; it may say port zero, but it really means 6073.
Yes, there is multicore support in Demigod just like Supreme Commander.
heh, that doesn't mean much.
No download limit, no activation limit, no time until your download expires. I'm not even sure you have to activate the games, I think the impulse engine handles that automatically. When I get a new comp, I download impulse, log in and press download on my old games bought through impulse. Download is reasonably fast (500kb/s) and it extracts and installs automatically. It couldn't be smoother.
one activation per Window
that means someone is testing mods, hacking (unsuccessfully i might add), or there's data corruption in some form (big kettle of fish there). once it happens there's no going back; just abandon the game as there is something different between game states across the computers. it'll only get worse with time, i've seen network games of SupCom where one ACU (for the unenlightened, it's the big robot that you're in) has been blown up and another was unscathed
and then there's the Fireshot (not the casting fireball though) against minatours in melee.
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/334562/#1999099 it's a known issue; someone has aparantly figured it out, so fingers crossed they come back and explain how.
can anyone tell us if moving a computer to the DMZ helps the situation or not; i don't want to tell people to do so if it makes no differenece.
please do tell how; there's other that suffer from this.
move one or both computers to the DMZ and see what happens.
Do you by any cahnce have a non-english Windows or username with accented characters in it?
i originally thought that too, but since he's played before it won't be it. [EDIT:] http://forums.demigodthegame.com/334562/#1999099 it appears there's accented letters in the 'Local Settings' folder for some languages. this needs tending to.
