I've played the game since the first beta and have 137 games played since the last reset. I still got kicked from a lobby last night for being a "noob". It wasn't even from a "pro only" game or anything. People should focus more on creating balanced teams than kick everyone without the perfect number of games played/ win ratio.
Concerning the "balanced" teams, this game is just too hard to carry a
There is a bug in Pantheon where the games stats are displayed incorrectly. This includes total number of games as well as win percentage.
I believe the default for Impulse is to startup on bootup - even if you never play an Impulse game. Take Charvel1 for instance. I have him on my friends list and he is always "online" yet he has not played a game since August. I believe he counts towards the total "player" list even though he isn't playing the game. Weird metric for SD to be using.
Reason I hate EB is that in the hands of someone competent, he is impossible to kill. Sure, I can push him from a lane, but kill him? Between swarm and mist, a competent person can always get out of trouble.
Demigod may "offer" different skill sets but I typically use the same skill build over and over again. At most I have two different builds for some of the DGs but I don't think I have 3 builds for any DG. The only real choice I make is the favor item. Outside that, most games are the same.
I'm sure most of the community is smarter than this, but just in case there are people out there reading this who aren't: When a game like this is in its infancy (which it still is, IMO)
Infancy? Not quite the term I would have used. But in all seriousness, go play 20 or so Pantheon games before you play in anything other than a noob game. Also, host your own game with Noob in the title and it will fill up within minutes.</p
You buy another copy of the game?
Split up for a logical reason, but its a reason that negates autobalance.
I have always been confused on this point. What is the logical reason for light v. dark? I thought only one DG can ascend to godhood. So why the team games in Pantheon? Shouldn't every DG be trying to kill the other DG?
We do get our asses handed to us when facing better players. And I don't mind loosing, because it usually mean I will learn something out of it. That's something most of the people leaving the lobby tends to forget.
So go join one of the other 3 pre-made games languishing in the lobby? I play with my brother all the time and we still find regular games every night.
The Demigod community does remind me of wic, CW crowd vs Public crowd, Premade crowd vs Puggers. Shrinking and shrinking with individuals holding onto the bitter end.
WiC rocks, still does. One of the best games I have played and really damn stable right out of the box. The debate there between CW and Public crowd is nothing like the debate here. In WiC, the debate was really about smurfs. Pub
All I know is that it is stupid that I can be sitting in a queue of 12 people and not getting a game because there is 1 light and 11 dark players queued. On the flip side, when there are 3 light queued and no dark queued, I know that I can go get a quick game with my premade. EDIT: they do not have to implement skirmish and nix pantheon to make me happy. Just don't lock me into one side for the duration. If I can flip sides between matches, then I ca
Some more: Sedna is still out of range but can get to you in five seconds. You are TB and you just used circle of fire.
i have seen many of your posts Zehdon in the forums and you almost make me think that you are somebody from Stardock/GPG telling us that everything is alright. What makes you the Demigod problems expert? Your 49 online games ?
Now that puts everything in perspective.
i can tell you now that this game wont die in the next month, if anything its gonna bring back a lot of the casual gamers that left when we get the new demis which was announced was going to be sometimes soon.
Hmm.. What's weird is that based on my playing experience, the game died last month, not next month.
Right now in the bad system, choosing a side was a strategic decision. Allowing all sides to play all Demigod would have many players stacking on one side against another side which is going to lose horribly.
Wow. Can you explain that again to me. Why would I join the side that would guarantee that will end up playing against the AI more often than not? If you want a game against live opponents, you join the
well ... if you put a ub and tb in a 1v1 situation,
I'll remember this the next time I play a 1v1 game. Have you thought about doing the same comparision 2v2 with 2TBs on 1 side and 2UBs on the other? Does this mean UB is underpowered in 2v2?
What I fear is that when this feature goes live, many people will join my game, see that I played with my friends a lot and will leave, without even considering that our win percentage is 50%.
Personally, I only check for premadeness if a person has an extremely high win percentage. It would be extremely unlikely that I would check your info window if you only have a 50% win rate.
why don't dedicated puggers form premade teams?
You really don't know the answer to this? Here are just a handful of reasons: It takes a Pugger 3 minutes to get a game going and 20 minutes for a Premade. Do I really want to sit in a lobby kicking people that cannot read the title for hours every night? I premade with my brother and the nights where we get a 3rd to join us can be painful to find a game.&n
Just looking at my last 25 games, people I played:
I looked quickly so I may be wrong, but that amounts to playing people in the top 100 in 3 out of 25 games - so 12% of your games. My point still stands, you should not be gaining ranks very quickly when the vast majority of your games are against people way under your rank. Conversely, when you do lose, your rank should drop quickly because of the level disparity.&n
What I find incredibly annoying is how I can go and win 15 games in a row or so, and then lose 1 because someone drops at 3:30, and my ranking goes down.
No doubt the system is broken, but with your rank I'd expect exactly this to happen. How often do you play against someone in the top 100? If I had to guess, very rarely. More likely, you are playing against people ranked in the 1000s. I do not mean that as a
Wow, what a novel thread. Is this really an issue once the overlay gets pushed out to everyone?
They have remove already the skirmish button. so I guess re-adding another Button like Custom Game (unranked) wont be costy.
I know I'm not making friends here with this assertion, but you know I'm right: You do not get >80% win rate by usually playing fair matches. The game does not even have automatching. If you are in the top 2%, you are
thats true but in my experience (not a lot) once the tower farm gets going in order to kite i have to go into the farm thus i still have the same trouble as other dgs
Reg is the best DG IMO to handle the tower farm - at least at low level. Once your grunts get into the mix, you throw down mines to clear out their grunts. The mines will also damage multiple towers. Now you are in a position where y
