Bakka will be welcome to lurk or to join in. I would like to point out that Dearly Beloved is exaggerating, the rolling pin is still in the drawer... As for turn speed, too many e-mail games get kinda stuck. Thought it would be better to go at a good pace. Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM

And here we begin (posted here for general delight - players please respond to the e-mail, not here!): - Since dawn, the Serpent's Teeth islands have been getting steadily closer. Breakfast saw your ship navigating past a small island on which some kind of giant construction is being erected, and in towards the main island of the cluster, on which the town of Freeport is located. Your captain's grumbling. He's just discovered that the vegetables he'd intend to s

OK - players & lurkers - 'system test' on the mailing list... you SHOULD have received a message, please respond if you do. If you don't get one and want to be on the list, holler here or by e-mail. We start tonight, when I get home from work :-) Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM.

I'll do spell descriptions for the 2 wizards if they like. But not tonight because I am about to go to bed. Probably Thursday, as well as starting the game (Hoo-Yah!). Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM.

Now sent off Brian's character... That's the six folks who have responded so far sorted. Any more, or shall we make a start? We will begin play on Thursday - I'll send an initial post to the mailing list. This will give time to sort loose ends or for anyone else who would like to play (Cotal?) to chip in and get a character aboard. Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM.

205 Replies 3,190 Views

Not to fret Cotal - there's still room & time if you wish to join in... same goes for anyone else. Laurent, I have just mailed you your character. Shout if you don't get it! Now on to the next one... Mexal the DM.

To all players: I am now setting up character sheets based on the information you have provided. You will receive them as soon as they are done, and will have an opportunity to comment/correct, etc. Then we'll start the game itself :-) Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM.

Comes scuttling in... Er, is the 'topic watch' switch broken? Didn't get the message that people had been talking here... Writing a review right now, will be getting this show on the road over the weekend, if that's OK with you folks. (While Dearly Beloved sits upstairs playing this weird computer game, something about assorted star systems trying to conquer each other... anyone heard of this? :-) ) If anyone else wants to play, squeak now... or come watch and you can join in l

Right. I'd prefer that people do character generation by e-mail - unless, of course, you want to everyone else to know EVERYTHING about you! Appraise - enables you to make a reasonable guess about the value of an item. Tumble - allows you to perform stunt leaps, rolls and falls. Think of the Claude Van Damme trademark mid-air splits... Decipher Script - could be useful for a sorcerer as well as a rogue, it allows you to figure out ANY writing, not just the magical sort

I will let you return to monk, kryofx, but it may involve a bit of special pleading in character to be readmitted to whatever dojo, monastery, etc. we decide you trained at! For the rest of you: be aware this is my standard method of dealing with unusual requests... can you role-play your way into whatever it is you want to do :-) Mexal the DM.

205 Replies 3,190 Views

Right, once I have details of what you want to play, I'll create a character sheet for you; then we can talk about your background, etc. If people can try to get through working out what they want to do by Friday, then maybe we could even make a start next weekend. Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM.

Greetings! I have now set up a Yahoogroup for this game and invited those of you who have been in touch with me to join it via their system. Please respond to the e-mail you ought to have received - or holler if you want to play or watch and haven't had one! Character generation notes are in the files section (in Word format - is this a problem for anyone?). Read them, decide what sort of character you want to play and we'll take it from there... Welcome all. Let's hav

What is NWN? Note that due to work & face-to-face role-playing, it is unlikely that you'll get full character generation details out of me before the weekend. Hold fire, and I'll decide on the point-buy figure at that time. And, Alex, it's not nice to talk about the dog in those terms, even if he did steal your biscuits last night!!! Mexal the DM.

Note to all: DM has patchy internet access between 0745 + 1700hrs BST at present (this is called work - today was occupied with administrivia and the only time I got close to a computer was when I was teaching some of the other teachers how to use an interactive white board!). LDiCesare - no background received as yet. If you have a Witch class - or indeed any other core or prestige class you want to play - to hand, of course you may use it. I'd been thinking of the one in 'Way

205 Replies 3,190 Views

You have the classes about right. You may also play a Witch. Other options may become available as the adventure progresses... If you have access to the books, fine - go ahead. Attributes by point-build - you have 26 points. If you don't, wait until I send out the character generation document. Then you will have all the information that you require. Hugs and kisses, Mexal the DM.

While I have actually written & run a scenario based on a 'reality TV' show... this is not it! Pirate-fighting - or joining - is a possibiility :-) If characters end up forming 2 groups that will be up to them. At least the PBEM format makes it easier to handle folks going off in different directions than sitting round the table... Hugs and kisses, Mexal.

205 Replies 3,190 Views

Eeep. You lot sure sound eager. I would be willing to have more than 6 characters if there are people feeling left out. This also makes it easier for people to play the class they want without worrying. I'm going to use a mailing list, anyone wishing to 'lurk' may do so. I'll let you all know when it's set up. D&D 3e it is, I haven't seen 3.5 yet. Start thinking about your character concepts. You begin on a boat heading out to a bunch of islands rumoured inhabited by s
